Mutual understanding

Mutual understanding

When they arrived at their destination, Su quickly and decisively unbuckled her seatbelt, got out of the car, and ran inside. As she ran, she was thankful that she had worn flat shoes for convenience.

An Chi followed behind and handed the car keys to the parking attendant at the entrance.

Nightclubs like these are frequented by a diverse mix of people.

Su Yao went inside like a newborn calf unafraid of tigers, frowning at An Chizhi, but still quickly followed.

She glanced at the private room pictured on her phone screen, then looked at the spot where she had stopped. It was the same place, filled with noisy chatter.

Pushing open the door, one sees a group of people gathered in twos and threes, with bottles of liquor casually placed on the table and on the floor, and even cigarette butts scattered everywhere. Su Wenxie sits on a corner of the sofa smoking, while a strange man sits leaning against the wall, clutching his head, blood streaming down his face, and glancing sideways at Su Wenxie.

The sound of the door opening startled everyone present. Su Yao looked around, took a deep breath, and walked towards Su Wenxie.

Su Wenxie realized what was happening, lowered the cigarette, and stood up.

She snatched the cigarette from his phone, threw it on the ground, and stomped on it. Looking at her younger brother, who had never done anything wrong since childhood, Su Yao asked in a deep voice, "What happened?"

Su Wenxie tilted his head, unwilling to speak. A friend of his, the one who had called Su Yao, chuckled and said, "Sister Su Yao..."

Sue should try to speak to him in a kind tone, "Don't speak for him, he has his own mouth."

After saying this, Su Wenxie clicked his tongue.

Su Yao suddenly felt a surge of anger. The emotion conveyed by that interjection was more intense than at any other time today. She slapped him across the face and looked at Su Wenxie, who was covering his face in disbelief. "If you're still not sober, I don't mind slapping you again, Su Wenxie. I'll ask you one more time, what happened!"

This statement is no longer just a problem, it's anger.

The man sitting on the ground sneered, "Su Wenxie, you're a fucking coward, aren't I right?"

Su Yao glanced at it but didn't take it to heart. She was more concerned about Su Wenxie's attitude. She pulled Su Wenxie, who was still about to get angry, and whispered, "You'd better tell me what happened between you two before things get out of hand, so I can protect you."

But her words were not followed by Su Wenxie's reply, but by the man on the ground: "Didn't you want to know what happened between us? Since this coward is unwilling to say, then I'll say it for him."

The man stood up with all his might, pointing at the two of them with his index finger. "You, and you too, your Su family is a bunch of down-and-outs. Without Su Corporation, without Su Qingye, even your father doesn't care about you. How are you still able to make a living in City A? Now that you have money, is it all because of your sister? Hmm? I heard you're very familiar with the young master of the Bai family. He even took over Su Corporation. Did you beg him in bed? Hmm? Want to play with me? Hey, Su Wenxie, I'm asking your sister directly. If she's willing, it's a mutual agreement. Don't blame me for laughing."

Su Yao looked at the man and spoke without reacting. Su Wenxie, who was beside him, secretly exerted force and put his hand on the wine bottle, but Su Yao grabbed it and made him let go. An Chi, who was watching everything from outside the door, could not stand it anymore. He rushed forward a few steps, but Su Yao raised his hand to make him stop, and he still obediently did not move.

After the man finished laughing to himself, he realized that no one else was cheering with him. Only the woman who was faintly visible in front of him had a faint smile on her lips and was clapping.

"Su Wenxie, whose young master is he?"

Su said those words from the bottom of her heart. After all, in a battle, you need to know yourself and your enemy, but she still doesn't even know who the person is.

The man felt insulted, pointed at Su Yao with his finger, and muttered, "You you you you..."

Su was annoyed by his fingers waving in front of her eyes, so she reached out, grabbed them, and twisted them outwards. She didn't feel any pain herself, so she didn't know how much force she used. "It should be broken, so what's your surname?"

A scream of pain came from beside her, but Su Wenxie was finally able to respond, saying from the side, "His surname is Liu."

"Liu? Is it the Uncle Liu we know? Or Uncle Liu from the east side of the city, or Aunt Liu from Australia?"

Su was thinking about the people with the surname Liu that he knew.

“...Neither.” Su Wenxie replied after a moment of silence.

Su Yao curled her lips into a smile, raised her foot and kicked him directly: "None of them, then what are you being so arrogant about in front of me, young master? If you don't know my status, Su Yao, then I'll show you today."

She instructed the people around Su Wenxie to take good care of him, and then loudly addressed the onlookers: "Today, I, Su, will cover all your expenses. If you want to go somewhere else to continue playing, that's fine too. But if you utter a single word about what happened today, what you'll owe me will be more than just expenses. Think it over carefully. Now, children, get out of here."

An Chi beckoned to everyone and asked them to add his contact information. A few people were unwilling, but he forced them to add his information and then chased them away.

The man on the ground, who was kicked so hard he couldn't straighten up, shouted that he was going to call the police.

Su took out her phone, squatted down, and scrolled through the list. Looking into the man's eyes, she said, "Sure, which bureau chief do you want? Oh, or if you want to contact someone from the grassroots level, I can ask around for you."

As she spoke, she pressed the "110" dial button and held it to the man's lips, saying, "Go ahead and speak."

But the man was so frightened that he could barely speak, and Su warned him angrily, "What a waste of time."

He simply stood up and went to talk to the police.

"Yes, there is a fight here. Yes, we are in xxx, and someone is injured. Okay, thank you, officer."

After hanging up the phone, Su kicked the man with her foot. "Can you still move? You can't get up after I kicked you? You still want me to have fun in bed? I've called the police for you. You're welcome. Just wait for the police to arrive."

Incidentally, she also contacted a lawyer. It was a bit unethical of her to contact Ge Jin at this time, but Ge Jin still found out, because he was the one who usually contacted the lawyer, and Su Yao almost never contacted him alone. So the lawyer even confirmed with Ge Jin again.

The police arrived quickly, of course.

The man sat up on his own despite Su's insulting remark.

Upon seeing the man's appearance, the police first had the paramedics check on him before turning to ask what had happened.

Su patted Su Wenxie on the shoulder, telling him to hold back, and then stepped forward and said, "He insulted me first and damaged my reputation. We'll talk about the rest when my lawyer arrives."

The man surnamed Liu on the ground roared, "That's not how it is! It's them, they've gone too far!"

Su smiled and said, "Do you really have to say that, young master? After all, there are surveillance cameras here." With that, she pointed to the camera in the corner that was flashing a faint light.

The police officer glanced at it and ordered his men to check the surveillance footage.

It was at this moment that Ge Jin brought his lawyer in.

The lawyer stepped forward to negotiate with the police, while Ge Jin came to Su Yao's side and lowered his head to await orders.

Su scratched his head. "Actually, I didn't originally plan for you to come. Since you're here, why don't you contact this young master Liu's family? After all, orphans who can't find their parents are quite pitiful."

His eyes, fixed on the person receiving treatment, were sinister and cunning, like a fox that hadn't hunted its prey in years.

Just as Ge Jin was about to make a contact, An Chi led a stranger in. The stranger saw the person next to the medical staff and shouted, "Son! What's wrong with you?"

An Chi gave Su Yao a look, and Su Yao nodded when she saw it. She then tugged at Ge Jin's sleeve, telling him not to go anymore.

"Dad, you must avenge me! The Su family bullied me!" The man leaned against the newcomer's chest, sobbing.

Su Yao felt a headache coming on. Just then, her lawyer came over to discuss the matter with her. She stood next to the "filial son and loving father" and said, "You, President Liu, right? Here's the thing, I'll have my lawyer draft a settlement agreement. Once you sign it, you can sign a contract with Su's Group."

She certainly wouldn't stuff such rubbish into her own company. It would be easier to deal with the Su family, since she wasn't in charge, and if problems arose, it wouldn't be her place to handle them.

While comforting his son, Mr. Liu's eyes lit up when he heard Su Yao's conditions. He chuckled and said to Su Yao, "Are you telling the truth?"

“If Mr. Liu thinks it’s true, then it’s fine.” Su Yao’s attitude was relatively amiable, but Su Wenxie next to him couldn’t help but say, “Sister, why are you giving them money? If they’re really not satisfied, then give them another beating.”

Su Yao didn't look at Su Wenxie immediately, but instead looked at the police's attitude. Seeing that their expressions were somewhat frozen, she turned around and scolded Su Wenxie: "You're always fighting. This is a society ruled by law. If you continue like this, don't call me your sister anymore."

He then smiled and said to President Liu, "The two children are just playing around without any understanding. It's best if President Liu doesn't take it seriously. However, the benefits of this cooperation will indeed go into President Liu's pocket, won't they?"

"Very well, I think President Su is a sensible person. Then I'll wait for President Su's settlement agreement." The man could no longer pretend to be a doting father.

The man on the ground stared in disbelief at his father for selling him, shouting, "Dad! How could you do this?!"

Mr. Liu glanced at his son with displeasure, then said to Su with a smile, "Look, the child is still throwing a tantrum."

Su Yao didn't want to stay any longer and said to him, "My lawyer and assistant will stay and handle the rest. You two can discuss it."

"Okay, okay." The man wanted to shake hands with Su, but Ge Jin stepped forward and took his hand. He shook hands with Ge Jin, but he couldn't refuse. However, he couldn't hide the look of disdain on his face that Ge Jin was just an assistant.

Before leaving, Su greeted the police officer, "Officer, today has been really troublesome. I heard your captain is on duty today. By the way, does your captain know Uncle Wang? I heard he's the director of your bureau. I invited him to my grandmother's funeral last time, but he said he had a mission and couldn't make it. What a pity. Oh, if you need anything, talk to my assistant and lawyer. We'll cooperate fully with anything we need. But I'm really exhausted today and just want to go home quickly. I'm so sorry."

The best way to put it is to leave it at that. After hearing what she said, the police officer said to her, "If there is anything we need your cooperation with, I will have my assistant call you."

"Okay, okay, I will definitely keep my phone accessible 24/7."

After saying that, Su Yao took An Chi and pulled the stubborn Su Wenxie away.

Su Wenxie and Su Yao had both been drinking and were unable to drive, so An Chi had to drive instead.

The entire process was silent, except for Su's angry, venting command: "Drive."
