Chapter 6: Going to the Banquet Isidore also wants to make peace with Vifiya today...
It was almost dusk.
Vifiya opened the door and saw Osa waiting there. The two of them looked at each other and smiled at each other, wearing the same low-key yet family-style dress.
Osa smiled slightly and said, "Let's go."
When the two of them walked to the entrance of the East District, Vifia found that Stellan was standing aside and talking to someone. The man had the same blue hair and blue eyes as Osa. Vifia recognized him at a glance. It was Ferik Dodu.
Stellan caught a glimpse of Vifiya out of the corner of his eye, said a few words to Felix, and then went straight towards Vifiya.
Stellan stopped in front of Vifia, with a smile in his eyes, as if he could only see her: "Sister, I'm here to pick you up." After a pause, when he looked at Osa again, his smile faded a lot.
Vifiya understood: "Miss Osa, this is my brother, Stellan Caseley."
Then he said to Stellan with a tentative look, "This is Miss Osa from the Duke of Dordo's Palace."
Vifiya paid attention to Stellan's expression. He only smiled distantly, showing no surprise. "It's the Duke's daughter. Are you feeling better?"
Osa nodded after hearing this and said, "Thank you for your concern, sir. I'm feeling much better now."
Vifia chatted and laughed with the two of them, but she was thinking carefully in her heart. Stellan knew about Osa, which meant that it was not a secret. Since it was not a secret, there was no reason for Marquis Seronil not to let her know that there was such a person.
This made her even more certain that Osa was indeed a person who appeared out of thin air.
A small stone is thrown down and hits the stone below. The stone leaves its original trajectory and collides with other stones, eventually producing a different line.
Vifiya lowered her eyes. Many things were indeed different this time. Many things had never happened before. She couldn't rely too much on the past.
Ferik stood there, and seeing the three people still talking, he walked over quickly and said irritably: "Hey Osha, are you going to leave or not? If Dad hadn't asked me to take care of you, I wouldn't be here."
Osa frowned slightly, with a clear look of disdain in her eyes: "Dad is just too worried. You don't have to take care of me, and I don't need your care either."
Ferik was dressed extravagantly, looking out of place among Vifiya and the other two.
He didn't care whether Osa gave him face or not, and said directly: "You said that yourself, I don't care about you anymore."
After saying that, he ignored the others and walked away.
Osa turned around and said apologetically, "Sorry, that's my brother. We haven't gotten along since we were little."
After she finished speaking, she looked at Vifiya's face and said in surprise: "Do you want to get to know him? Don't be fooled by his face. You just saw that he has a bad temper. Even I can't stand it."
After all, Stellan was present, and he also knew the order given to her by Marquis Seronil, so she had to pretend. She seemed a little embarrassed: "Didn't you say you wanted to be friends with me, Osha? I also want to meet your family."
Osha was stunned for a moment. The corners of her mouth couldn't help but rise, and her blue eyes shone, as deep and blue as the midday sky. "Really? Then can you call me Sasha? You want to meet my family? After the dinner, I will write directly to the Duke's Mansion and find time to have dinner together. Mom and Dad will definitely be happy to see you. As for Ferik, he will be happy even if he doesn't want to. It's done!"
Vifiya didn't expect Osa to be so happy. In just a few seconds, the situation changed from knowing Felix alone to knowing the Duke's family. The matter was settled in a few words. Looking at her excited look, she suddenly felt uncomfortable. Osa's sincerity gradually burned her, making her a little at a loss.
Stellan smiled and looked at the two of them quietly, watching their reactions which were different from [Vifiya's].
Seeing her stunned, Osa thought it was her over-enthusiasm that had caused Vifiya to feel awkward. When she spoke again, her tone had returned to normal: "Did it embarrass you?"
"No." Weifeiya shook her head with a smile on her face. "You don't have to worry about it."
After a long delay, the three of them finally arrived at the auditorium, and most of the people inside had also arrived.
Vifiya and the other two decided to wear low-key dresses, largely because the dinner here was different from the usual banquets held by the nobles.
It’s more like a gathering than a dinner party.
Common people rarely have access to aristocratic banquets, so naturally they will not specifically learn dancing and various aristocratic etiquette.
The dean of Alsayin College tries to eliminate the unfairness between nobles and commoners in this college.
This was a freak in the eyes of others, but in Vifiya's eyes, the dean was a far-sighted person who achieved class equality starting with the education of students.
After all, the future always belongs to the young.
The dean's ideal is somewhat utopian, but in such an era, a dean who holds such an idea is worthy of admiration.
Stellan glanced around, looking for a long table with signs reading Ancient History and Knight Education. He nodded to Vifia and Osa, told them the direction of Ancient History, and left in the direction of Knight Education.
Just as Vifia and Osa were about to walk towards the long table belonging to the ancient history department, a figure with green hair came over from the celestial navigation table not far away.
Isidore's eyes sparkled and he smiled brilliantly: "Long time no see, Vifia. Are you feeling better now?"
Before Vifiya could speak, Osa's anxious voice came from her ear: "Vifiya, are you hurt?"
Just as he was about to check, Vifiya quickly stopped him: "It's all right now. Thank you for your concern."
Isidore took out a small cloth bag from somewhere and stuffed it into Vifiya's hand without saying anything: "This is the candy I made. If you feel uncomfortable, eat one. It will be effective."
Without giving Vifiya a chance to refuse, he said directly: "The dinner is about to start, you should take a seat."
Isidore turned and walked towards the long table belonging to celestial navigation. He felt that as long as he didn't look back, Vefia would not have the chance to refuse him.
It was not until halfway through the walk that he realized he had forgotten to ask about her major, but he was embarrassed to turn back.
He was just a stranger to her, and the kindness of a stranger was the easiest to reject. Once rejected, there would be no reason to interact again.
He quickly returned to his seat, looking for Vifia, and breathed a sigh of relief when he saw her sitting down at the long table of ancient history.
The students next to Isidore saw that he was in a good mood. Although they thought they had seen a ghost, they couldn't help but look at him a few more times.
Isidore glanced sideways, and the smile on his face when facing Vifiya faded, and his silver eyes were a little cold.
The man quickly lowered his head and felt as if a cold light pierced his skin.
Thinking of his amiable demeanor towards the girl, she steeled herself to speak: "Did anything happy happen to you?"
After hearing no answer for a long time, he finally couldn't help but look up and saw that Isidore had a cold expression, but his eyes were fixed on the girl.
He followed the line of sight and only saw the person's hair.
He recalled the scene of his solemn oath to the Great Magician before leaving, and resignedly turned to Isidore and whispered, "Do you want to get closer to her?"
As soon as he finished speaking, Isidore's eyelashes trembled slightly and he shifted his gaze slightly to him.
He was speechless for a moment, thinking to himself, there's no hope.
Vifia didn't know what was happening in Isidore's place. She had only been with Osa for a short time when she became friends with many of her classmates in the same major.
After all, just because of their status as nobles, most people are always willing to approach them, no matter how hypocritical they are.
A little later, the bell rang and the dinner began.
