Chapter 15: Are you sure you want to play it this way?
Shen Shuangmiao took a deep breath: "What President Zhu mentioned has solutions in our construction drawings..."
"I've looked at it, but it's not enough." Zhu Jin closed the folder. "Rework it!"
Director Li Wen tried to smooth things over: "President Zhu, actually this plan has already passed the preliminary security assessment..."
"I said, redo it." Zhu Jin said each word slowly and deliberately, his eyes fixed on Shen Shuangmiao.
Shen Shuangmiao clenched her fists, her nails digging deep into her palms.
She should have known better; things wouldn't go smoothly.
“Okay, we will revise it according to Mr. Zhu’s requirements.” She calmly put away the documents. “Are there any other questions?”
Zhu Jin did not answer immediately.
His gaze shifted between Shen Shuangmiao and Fu Xuan, finally settling on the notebook in Fu Xuan's hand.
That was Shen Shuangmiao's notebook, which she used to keep a diary.
It was a very private item, kept safe by Fu Xuan.
Zhu Jin stood up and scoffed, "I hope to see a satisfactory solution next time."
After saying that, he strode out of the conference room.
On the way back to the studio, Fu Xuan finally couldn't hold back anymore.
"He's clearly making things difficult for you! That plan is perfectly fine; the safety assessment report has already been approved."
Shen Shuangmiao looked out the car window: "He is an investor and has the right to propose modifications."
Fu Xuan hesitated for a moment, "When will you two officially get a divorce? This is too unfair to you."
Shen Shuang smiled bitterly.
Zhu Jin always had a reason to refuse.
Unable to contact the other party, she could only wait.
Fu Xuan turned to look at her, "Do you think Zhu Jin might not actually want to divorce you?"
"impossible."
Shen Shuangmiao's voice was unusually calm, "Maybe he doesn't want me to have an easy time, and is deliberately dragging it out."

Fu Xuan and the others waited outside, and their eyes lit up when they saw her outfit.
"You're beautiful, my parents will definitely love you."
Shen Shuangmiao smiled shyly and joked, "I hope your aunt and uncle can rest assured about your relationship status so that you can focus on doing hard work for me."
Fu Xuan admired her intently, then opened the car door, gesturing for her to get in.
The restaurant is famous in town.
The decor is great, and it offers good privacy.
Fu Xuan's parents were already waiting in the private room, and they immediately came to greet Shen Shuangmiao warmly.
"This must be Shuangmiao?" Mrs. Fu held her hand and looked her up and down. "Xuanxuan always mentions you, saying you're both beautiful and capable!"
Shen Shuangmiao smiled shyly and said, "Hello, Auntie and Uncle."
She sat down and relaxed because of the warm hospitality of the Fu family parents.
Fu Xuan's parents were from a typical scholarly family, and their speech and behavior were gentle and refined.
Fu Xuan was very considerate, frequently serving Shen Shuangmiao food and tea, and occasionally holding her hand to make the scene more realistic.
"How did you two meet?" Mrs. Fu asked with a smile.
“We were classmates in college.” Fu Xuan naturally put his arm around Shen Shuangmiao’s shoulder. “But she was so outstanding back then, there was a long line of men pursuing her, how could I possibly be one of them?”
Shen Shuangmiao lowered her head in agreement, pretending to be shy.
Fu Xuan gently squeezed her shoulder, thanking her for her cooperation.
"Young people these days value feelings when dating," Mr. Fu said, taking a sip of tea. "When are you planning to get married?"
Shen Shuangmiao was stunned and speechless at the question.
Fu Xuan quickly came to the rescue: "Dad, we've only been together for a short time, there's no rush."
"How can you not be in a hurry? You're already twenty-eight!"
Madam Fu scolded, "Shuangmiao is such a good girl, why don't you settle down soon? What if someone else snatches her away?"

She always felt that Fu Xuan sometimes took things too seriously while pretending.
This is not what she wanted to see.
As Shen Shuangmiao walked out of the restroom, she was still thinking about this when suddenly someone grabbed her arm at the corner of the corridor and pulled her into the fire escape.
In the darkness, she smelled Zhu Jin's familiar scent.
"What are you doing? Let me go!"
Zhu Jin pressed her against the wall, his breathing heavy: "Meeting the parents? Shen Shuangmiao, when did you become so impatient?"
Shen Shuangmiao was startled: "What nonsense are you talking about?"
Zhu Jin sneered: "I came to meet a client, and I really didn't expect to see such a wonderful scene."
He leaned close to her ear, his voice dangerous: "You want to marry Fu Xuan as soon as possible?"
Shen Shuangmiao forcefully pushed him away: "It's none of your business! What happens between Fu Xuan and me is none of your concern!"
She straightened her disheveled clothes. "As for you, it must feel good to be showing off your love with Zhou Wu in such a high-profile way. Then don't worry about me, your ex-wife."
Zhu Jin's eyes darkened: "Who told you we were showing off our love?"
"The whole city's media is reporting on it, why do we need others to tell us?" Shen Shuangmiao laughed sarcastically. "President Zhu, since we've both moved on to new lives, why don't we just get the divorce done quickly?"
Zhu Jin was silent for a moment, then suddenly asked, "Do you really love him?"
In the dimly lit corridor, a faint sadness lingered in his eyes.
Shen Shuangmiao was stunned.
At that moment, the door to the fire escape was suddenly pushed open.
Zhu Jin's eyes instantly turned cold.
Shen Shuang Miao Xin said, "Indeed."
She was just imagining things.
She actually thought that Zhu Jin would be really sad about this.
Fu Xuan stood at the door, his face grim: "President Zhu, isn't it inappropriate to be holding someone else's girlfriend like this?"
Zhu Jin slowly released Shen Shuangmiao, his eyes icy: "Girlfriend?"
He looked at Shen Shuangmiao and said, "Are you sure you want to play this game, dating without a marriage certificate?"
Shen Shuangmiao took a deep breath, walked to Fu Xuan's side, and took his arm.
"Yes, Fu Xuan and I are together. Since President Zhu can date Miss Zhou, why can't I pursue my own happiness?"
Zhu Jin's expression instantly turned terrifying.
He stepped forward, seemingly wanting to say something, but was stopped by Fu Xuan.
"President Zhu, please have some self-respect. Shuangmiao is now my girlfriend."
"Your girlfriend."
Zhu Jin suddenly smiled.
That smile made Shen Shuangmiao inexplicably uncomfortable.
"Great, see you at the Civil Affairs Bureau at 9 a.m. on Monday."
