Chapter 42, it seems Miss Wen's schedule is indeed tight.
Yu Zhimu was the first to get up. Before he could even say hello, he saw Weiland pull out a chair for Wen Hanyun and set out the tableware.
The man with the buzz cut and the young man looked at each other in bewilderment.
Yu Zhimu was also stunned. She leaned closer to Willand and whispered, "Boss, do you know each other?"
Willand didn't rush to answer. He first helped Wen Hanyun sit down and poured her some hot tea before slowly speaking.
“Of course, we’ve known each other for a long time,” Willand winked at Wen Hanyun. “Right, Miss Wen?”
“I was wondering before what kind of person could you all agree on, but... since it’s her, I’m no exception.”
Wen Hanyun picked up the water glass on the table, took a sip, and smiled shyly. "Sister Zhimu, Mr. Willand and I had a brief chat before."
Yu Zhimu nodded.
She had initially worried that Willand would disagree with their decision, but now that concern was completely gone, and the atmosphere in the private room gradually became more lively.
She pushed the menu in front of Wen Hanyun and said, "Let's order first, we can chat while we eat, there's no rush."
Wen Hanyun didn't refuse. She flipped through a couple of pages of the menu, ordered a few dishes that looked delicious, and then handed the menu back.
“Since Miss Wen is our guest today, this meal is on me. Please add whatever you would like to eat.” Willand added a few of the restaurant’s signature dishes, asked everyone for their preferences, and quickly finalized the menu.
After the waiter took away the menu, he leaned forward slightly, rested his elbows on the table, and his blue eyes gleamed with mockery.
“Miss Wen, you promised to play me a piece last time, but you haven’t kept your promise. Instead, they got to hear it first. That’s really unfair.”
Wen Hanyun put down her teacup and gave a slight smile. "It's just a hobby; I'm afraid it won't catch Mr. Willand's eye."
"If hobbies can reach this level, then professionals must feel ashamed of themselves."
With his fingers interlaced, Willand said earnestly, "Besides, a newcomer like Miss Wen is like a blank sheet of paper, with the purest and most unique creative style, which perfectly matches the band's selection criteria."
“If Miss Wen is willing to join…” He paused, his gaze sweeping over the other three people beside him, “you will get an extra 20% of your performance revenue.”
Everyone: ?
Boss, that's not what you just said.
He even said they were bewitched, but he was the one who was bewitched!
At this point, the waiter began serving the dishes, and a table was filled with steaming hot food.
As everyone started eating, they began to chat about the band's tour, and Wen Hanyun listened intently, resting her chin on her hand with a hint of envy.
Seeing this, Yu Zhimu smiled and said, "By the way, I haven't formally introduced our members to Teacher Wen yet. I am the lead singer, Yu Zhimu."
The man with the buzz cut raised his glass towards Wen Hanyun and said, "Liu Changye, the drummer."
The young man next to him also came over.
"My name is Bai Ge, I'm a keyboardist, you can call me Xiao Bai," he smiled, revealing two cute tiger teeth. "Sister, could you please put in a good word for me with the boss in the future? I'd also like to get a higher commission rate."
These words amused everyone in the private room, and Yu Zhimu slapped him on the back of the head in annoyance.
“Teacher Wen, you can take a look at this first,” she handed over a file box. “This is our band’s plan for the next six months. Our salaries are calculated based on a share of the performance revenue. According to the boss, your share of the revenue will be 20% higher than the industry average.”
Wen Hanyun opened the file box, which contained not only the band's detailed schedule, but also the completed demo samples and renderings of the tour venues, and even the division of labor and past achievements of the members were clearly marked.
She turned the pages one by one, but her brows furrowed unconsciously.
It must be said that Yu Zhimu's proposed plan is indeed very tempting.
The band's tour covered more than a dozen popular cities in the north and south, and they also had the opportunity to collaborate with renowned masters.
This is something that would be hard for anyone who loves the stage to refuse.
But her concerns were indeed real.
Having never been tested on the commercial stage, joining such a team might just make me a burden.
Wen Hanyun looked up at everyone and frankly explained her situation.
“I have very little stage experience, and as you all know, I am still employed at University A. If I need to resign, it will take time. Can you accept all of this?”
None of the people present showed any surprise. Willand spoke first:
"We can adjust the timing. We'll coordinate the performance schedule with you in advance. As for experience, it's simple: just have them take you to some small performances first."
Yu Zhimu nodded in agreement, "That's easy to say."
Wen Hanyun's heart stirred slightly, and just as she was about to speak again, her phone vibrated in her pocket.
It was a message from Yansheng: "Have you finished eating? I'm waiting for you in the parking lot."
She tapped her fingertips on the screen.
"Almost there, I'll be right there."
Wieland noticed her movement. "Is that Yan? It seems our Miss Wen's schedule is indeed very tight."
"Um......"
Wen Hanyun did not deny it, a faint blush spreading across her face.
The meal lasted nearly two hours. As it was about to end, Yu Zhimu handed two burned CDs to Wen Hanyun.
"Here are a few pieces that we have already completed. Take them back and listen to them. Give me an answer in three days."
"No matter what the outcome, I hope to be your friend."
Wen Hanyun took the CD and nodded solemnly, "I will consider it seriously and will definitely let you know within three days."
After leaving the private room, the band members left first, and Willand escorted her to the restaurant entrance.
"Ms. Wen, please don't feel pressured. We really hope to cooperate with you. If you have any concerns, please feel free to tell me."
Wen Hanyun reached out and smoothed her hair. "Thank you, I understand."
She watched Willand walk away before turning and entering the parking lot.
She saw Yansheng leaning against the car, his gaze falling on her.
"How did the talk go?" Yan Sheng smiled as he took the bag from her hand and unlocked the car door for her.
“It’s great,” Wen Hanyun climbed into the passenger seat, spread out the file box and CDs on her lap, then turned to look at him with a mysterious look, “Yansheng, do you know who the band’s boss is this time?”
Yan Sheng's gaze swept over the thing on her leg. "Is that Willand?"
How did you guess?
Wen Hanyun's eyes widened suddenly.
Is he that smart?
“Isn’t it written here?” Yan Sheng chuckled and poked her soft cheek. “The disc distribution company is under his control, and besides, he’s the only person I know who works in this field.”
"No, you're fouling!" Wen Hanyun pouted.
"Have you thought it through? Have you decided to go?"
