Chapter 211 Treating each other's wounds in the Water Curtain Cave

The blood quickly dyed the cloth red. Qin Wan didn't dare to let go. After a while, when she saw that the blood had stopped flowing, she quickly wrapped the cloth around it and tied it tightly. However, she didn't dare to tie it too tightly, as it would not be good for blood circulation.

After treating the wound, Qin Wan looked at Xie Qing and said, "Let it go first. It's not good for your health if your blood circulation is blocked."

The two looked at each other and tacitly did not say who they learned this method from.

Xie Qing loosened the belt on his leg, and the wound, which had not been bleeding much before, began to bleed again. Qin Wan was a little worried, but she didn't dare to untie the cloth to check the wound. Fortunately, the bleeding stopped after a while.

Xie Qing tightened his belt again and looked at Qin Wan: "There's another one."

Qin Wan used the same method to pull out the arrow and quickly applied medicine. After the two wounds stopped bleeding, she helped him treat the rest of the wounds.

After taking a closer look, I found that Xie Qing had more than one wound on his body.

"I'll help you treat other wounds." Qin Wan went to tear off her inner clothes again.

Xie Qing held her hand and said, "Look at your injuries first."

Qin Wan raised her head and smiled, "Didn't I just take care of it? I only have one wound on my back."

Xie Qing grabbed her hand and put it in the water to wash it. He quickly cleaned the mud and blood stains on it, revealing the fingertips that were scratched by gravel. The most serious injury was to her nails. She was bearing the weight of two people by herself, and her fingers had to dig deep into the cracks in the rock, so her nails were bound to be injured.

Xie Qing looked at Qin Wan's slightly furrowed brows, and his heart ached: "Won't it hurt?"

Qin Wan looked at her hands immersed in the water and shook her head: "I was more scared, so it didn't hurt."

From childhood to adulthood, she has never experienced such an assassination. This is really the only experience in Qin Wan's two lifetimes.

She watched as Xie Qing cleaned her fingers, applied medicine, and bandaged them. He bandaged eight of her ten fingers. Qin Wan shook her tightly bandaged hand and said, "How can I bandage your wound if you're like this?"

Xie Qing rolled up his trouser legs, revealing the wound on his calf, and said, "Just help me spread the powder. I can do it myself."

Xie Qing had a lot of wounds on his body, but he was lucky not to die from excessive blood loss.

Everything was taken care of, and the cave became brighter.

Xie Qing looked up at the faint reddish light in the crack. A faint smell of cigarette ash drifted in from outside. His mind relaxed, and his head became a little groggy. He leaned against the mountain wall and slowly closed his eyes, mumbling, "It seems there's a forest fire."

"At least we're safe." Qin Wan breathed a sigh of relief. There was water here, and they couldn't feel the scorching heat of the wildfire outside. The assassins certainly wouldn't search the mountain amidst a wildfire. She turned to look at Xie Qing, who was hidden in the darkness, and said, "I'll follow the water source to find the exit. At the very least, we need to find something to eat."

Qin Wan didn't care when she didn't get a response. She walked two steps along the cave and heard a rustling sound behind her.

Xie Qing supported himself on the mountain wall and moved to a place not far behind Qin Wan. He took something out of his pocket and handed it to her: "Here."

Qin Wan looked back. There was not much light here, and she vaguely saw Xie Qing's shadow. She reached out to take it, thinking it was a sword, but the touch made her realize that it was a telescope she made.

As their fingers intertwined, Qin Wan's ears felt hot, and she turned around and quickly left in the direction of the water.

Xie Qing was behind her, holding on to the mountain wall and slowly sliding down to the ground, then fainted with relief.

Although the cave was pitch black, there was water flowing under her feet and a mountain wall at her fingertips. Qin Wan groped her way forward. After walking for an unknown amount of time, she suddenly discovered a halo in front of her.

Qin Wan's eyes lit up, and she quickened her pace. After running a few steps, she paused and then slowed down again, fearing that she might startle anyone who might appear outside.

Qin Wan took out the telescope and looked carefully again. She could only see the sky in the distance and nothing else. She walked forward with confidence.

As they got closer, a rumbling sound came into their ears. Qin Wan listened carefully and found that it seemed to be a waterfall.

However, the road seemed straight, but as she ran forward, she found that it was actually winding. The halo she saw was getting bigger and bigger. As she ran closer, the halo was not just a small spot, but a huge hole about two meters high and three meters wide.

The stream under your feet flows here and merges with the waterfall above the cave entrance, rumbling down.

Qin Wan stood at the entrance of the cave, with mist blowing in her face: "This is a Water Curtain Cave."

Qin Wan walked to the side to avoid the mist and looked into the distance with a telescope.

There seemed to be no villages nearby, but a city was vaguely visible in the distance.

The shadow of the city can only be seen through a telescope, and I don’t know how far it is from here.

Qin Wan frowned, then cautiously looked down and around.

There are lush vines at the entrance of the cave, and there are several places to stand at the entrance, but they are extremely smooth because they have been washed by waterfalls all year round.

The waterfall was at least twenty or thirty feet high, which meant it would be very dangerous for her to go down.

But now they had no food and no dry firewood to start a fire, so they had no choice but to take the risk and go down.

Qin Wan used the whip to wrap around the vines at the entrance and pulled them into the cave to test their toughness and bearing capacity. They were okay.

Qin Wan used the whip and vines to slowly descend into the valley. The vegetation here was lush. Although there were no wild fruits to eat, she could pick up a lot of dry firewood. She even caught a silly rabbit!

Qin Wan tied the rabbit around her waist, bundled the firewood, and carried it to the cave in several batches. She piled the firewood in a dry place in the cave, then carried a bundle of firewood and the rabbit back to look for Xie Qing.

Qin Wan was particularly uncomfortable returning to darkness from the light. She estimated that she had reached a similar position before taking out a tinderbox to illuminate the area. When she saw Xie Qing's approximate position, she extinguished the tinderbox and groped her way over.

"Your Highness? The Crown Prince?"

Qin Wan called out twice, but got no response. She frowned and called out again, "Xie Qing?"

"Here." Xie Qing murmured.

Qin Wan put down the firewood, groped over, and grabbed Xie Qing's hand, only to find that his hand was burning hot!

"You have a fever." Qin Wan exclaimed, but did not get any response.

Being injured and having a fever is a very troublesome thing. Qin Wan calmed herself down and started a fire first. With the help of the firelight, she could clearly see Xie Qing's red face.

The sweat from his body had soaked his clothes, and it was obvious that he could no longer wear them.

Qin Wan hesitated for only a moment before taking off all her outer clothes and laying them aside. She then stripped off all of Xie Qing's clothes, leaving only his underwear. She then tore off some of her own inner clothes and used stream water to wipe his sweat to cool him down.

Qin Wan was afraid that Xie Qing would be burned to death, so she kept taking care of him and did not dare to close her eyes. The inner clothes that originally covered her legs were now torn to pieces, even the sleeves were gone, and she could only cover the important parts of her upper body.

The cave was cold and damp, and Qin Wan didn't have time to take care of herself. She took care of Xie Qing day and night. After an unknown amount of time, his body temperature finally dropped, and she finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"It's time to go to bed."

Qin Wan whispered, curled up beside Xie Qing, and fell into a deep sleep.
