Chapter 28 Proving My Innocence
Wang Juan's scalp tingled. She took a deep breath and smiled awkwardly. "Well, I forgot to mention this. You're quite attentive and noticed this. Sit down."
Jian Mo didn't move, looking innocent.
"Director Wang, won't you ask me why I know so much?"
Wang Juan felt a chill on her back. She was actually at a disadvantage against Jian Mo, who was so calm and confident. Her lips almost twitched.
But then I thought about it, she was just making a fuss and there was no evidence.
"Why?"
"Because I drew this picture."
"What a joke! You said you drew it, so it's yours, but you have no evidence..."
As the words were being spoken, before the last syllable of the word "evidence" had even faded away, Jian Mo had already turned the computer in front of him over, and everyone saw the exact same drawing.
For a moment, Wang Juan choked and cold sweat broke out all over her body.
When did her computer get fixed?! This is impossible!
The exclamations in the conference room never stopped.
"Let me take a look, it's true. Jian Mo's drawing was saved a week ago, but Director Wang's drawing... is obviously later than Jian Mo's."
Wang Juan loudly retorted, "What does that prove? I've been constantly revising the drawings these days, and the last save date doesn't count as evidence! I even said she plagiarized me and was trying to discredit me!"
Jian Mo nodded in agreement. She tapped the keyboard lightly. "The date really isn't a big deal, but Mr. Wang, since you frequently modify the drawings, didn't you notice a major flaw?"
Wang Juan suddenly turned around and looked at the drawing, her eyes quickly scanning it, and for a moment she didn't know whether to answer yes or no.
Xiao Chen also hurriedly searched and whispered, "I didn't see anything..."
Jian Mo folded his hands, walked slowly to Wang Juan's side, raised his hand and drew a circle in the upper right corner of the drawing.
In fact, if you don’t look closely, you can’t see it at all. On a black line, there is a light-colored letter: js.
This is a habit that Jian Mo has developed over the years of designing, watermarking his works to prevent them from being leaked.
The crowd was shocked.
Now it is clear who the plagiarist is.
Wang Juan took a step back and fell into her chair, her face pale when she saw Jian Mo.
"Usually I would remove the watermark before submitting the drawing, but you copied it before I even submitted it. If the computer hadn't been repaired, I wouldn't have thought of this."
This was the mistake that Jian Mo had worried about before, but she didn't expect that it would help her in the end.
"Tsk, I was wondering why she got the position of director. She's such a bad person..."
Colleagues were whispering to each other, some looked down on Wang Juan, while others expressed sympathy.
Jian Mo clearly won this battle.
"I told you I would find evidence." Jian Mo pursed her lips, as resolute and courageous as ever. "Do you remember what you said to me? You said, 'I understand your desire to climb the social ladder, but some things just can't be faked.' Wang Juan, I'm going to return that to you now."
Wang Juan's face was pale and her lips were trembling. She wanted to refute but couldn't say a word. This was an insult of being caught stealing and she was completely humiliated.
Just as the employees were pointing fingers at Wang Juan, several people in security uniforms suddenly rushed in from outside the door, followed by a middle-aged man.
He was dressed in a suit and had an extraordinary demeanor. Someone recognized him and said, "It's Mr. Li, the head of the HR department."
"Kick her out of the company. Huo's company won't tolerate anyone with dirty hands and feet!"
