Chen Yuan felt strange. Usually at this time the servants should be busy making breakfast. Why was it so quiet today?
She went downstairs and found the living room empty, not a single person in sight.
Just as she was looking confused, she heard someone talking in the backyard?
Chen Yuan went to the backyard out of curiosity, but she didn't expect that all the people from the Gu family were there, even Gu Jisui didn't go to work.
"What are you doing?"
Hearing the sound, Gu Jisui, Xu Wenlou and others looked over.
"Chen Yuan, you came at the perfect time. Why did you wrongly accuse me?!"
Xu Wenlou saw Chen Yuan growling through gritted teeth. Chen Yuan looked at them in confusion, then heard Gu Jisui say coldly, "Xu Wenlou, Chen Yuan said that you were the one who told her Gou Gou was lost last night. Is that right?"
Chen Yuan then remembered that Gu Jisui had said last night that he would give her an explanation.
Hearing this, Xu Wenlou acted as if he had been wronged. "I didn't do it! I didn't even know about this. How could she frame me?"
Shen Yuan frowned. She actually said that she framed her? How funny!
"Xu Wenlou, Gou Gou disappeared last night. I was looking for her outside, and Madam Qin accused me of disturbing the public. You told me that if I didn't hurry up, Gou Gou would be stewed, right? You threw Gou Gou away, right?"
Upon hearing this, Xu Wenlou shook his head in denial, "I didn't! Stop accusing me!"
Seeing that Xu Wenlou refused to tell the truth, Gu Jisui looked at Qin Mingyan.
"Since you are here, you can speak."
Qin Mingyan was stunned for a long time. She didn't expect that Gu Jisui even doubted her.
"You doubt me? Did I work so hard to raise you just for you to doubt me?!"
Hearing this, Gu Jisui snorted coldly, "Are you sure it's hard work?"
Qin Mingyan's face suddenly changed. Unable to refute, she simply started to make a fuss.
"You heartless person! Why am I so miserable that I gave birth to such a heartless thing like you!" Qin Mingyan yelled, and Gu Jisui just watched coldly.
He has no conscience because of her as a mother!
Chen Yuan didn't want to waste time talking to them. Gou Gou hadn't been found yet, so it wasn't the time to discuss these things.
"Xu Wenlou, where did you take Gou Gou?"
"Chen Yuan, are you sick? How should I know?" Xu Wenlou glared at Chen Yuan.
She was so carried away that she grabbed Xu Wenlou's collar and said, "Xu Wenlou, it's fine if you framed me, but why did you touch Gou Gou? Don't think I don't know that you are involved with those people last night. You'd better return Gou Gou to me intact, or I will make you pay!"
Xu Wenlou glared at Shen Yuan with gritted teeth, moved his lips, and just as he was about to speak, he heard a puppy barking.
Chen Yuan was also stunned for a few seconds, and when he turned around, he saw Gou Gou running out from somewhere with his tail wagging.
Gu Jisui frowned and took the lead to pick up Gou Gou.
Didn't Shen Yuan say that Gou Gou was lost by Xu Wenlou? How come it appeared here intact now?
Xu Wenlou sneered when he saw Gou Gou, "Chen Yuan, Gou Gou is clearly here, why are you framing me!"
Chen Yuan came back to her senses. She had searched the Gu family's house thoroughly last night but didn't see Gou Gou!
"Xu Wenlou! It was you who did this, right? You deliberately led me to a remote place and nearly got me killed!"
Xu Wenlou pushed Chen Yuan away and ran to Gu Jisui, crying.
"A Sui, you have to make the decision for me. Gou Gou is clearly at home, but Chen Yuan insisted on framing me. I think she staged a self-torture scheme to gain your sympathy and frame me!"
Gu Jisui frowned and looked at the servants standing side by side.
"Where was Gou Gou last night?"
The servants were trembling with fear. After a while, someone stood up and said with his head down, "Master, Gou Gou fell asleep in the doghouse after dinner last night. I checked on him before I left. I don't know why Madam said that Miss Xu had lost Gou Gou."
Impossible! She had checked Gou Gou's doghouse last night, and Gou Gou was clearly not there!
"A Sui, I told you I didn't do it. It's obvious that Chen Yuan wanted to frame me."
Chen Yuan didn't say anything. She didn't care what others thought. She just wanted to know what Gu Jisui thought about this matter.
But Gu Jisui remained silent, with a cold face and a cold aura all over his body.
Self-directed and self-acted? A self-torture scheme? Shen Yuan, you're really amazing! He was so worried about her last night!
"Xu Wenlou, if it wasn't you who did it, then why is there a tape recorder recording Gou Gou's voice on the road?"
Without waiting for Xu Wenlou to speak, Gu Jisui stared at Chen Yuan coldly.
"In Chen Yuan's mind, everything must be based on evidence. Where is the recorder you mentioned?"
Chen Yuan was stunned. Last night, she was dragged into the woods by a group of men, and the tape recorder was nowhere to be found.
But she didn't expect that the person who asked her for evidence was the one who said he would give her an explanation last night.
"Gu Jisui, you don't believe me either?" She stared at Gu Jisui with a frown.
He said nothing, obviously not believing himself.
Chen Yuan suddenly felt as if his heart was stabbed by something.
He actually doesn't believe in himself?
Gu Jisui stared at Chen Yuan. It wasn’t that he didn’t believe her, he just wanted her to prove her innocence.
Seeing that he didn't say anything for a long time, Shen Yuan felt aggrieved and angry, so she simply turned a blind eye.
But as soon as she turned around, she heard Gu Jisui say coldly, "Chen Yuan, explain clearly."
Explain clearly? Since he doesn't believe it, what's the point of explaining more!
"It's just what you think!"
After she finished speaking, she took a step forward, but she forgot that her leg was injured, and she almost fell down because she exerted too much force.
