Shen Jiajia bribed the hospital and found out Qi Xiu's ward.
Since Shen Yuan had run away, she would kill Qi Xiu. She wanted to see how Shen Yuan could find out about her parents now that the man was dead.
Wouldn't she have to hand over the one million obediently then?
Thinking of this, Shen Jiajia curled the corners of her lips and revealed a smug smile.
In the evening, the noisy hospital gradually quieted down and the lights in the wards went out one by one.
A man was sneaking back and forth in the corridor. He covered himself tightly with a baseball cap and a mask, and his exposed eyes kept looking at the situation in a certain ward.
After making sure that the person he was looking for was in the ward, he slipped in quietly.
The dark ward was illuminated by a ray of moonlight coming in from the window.
The man took out a folding fruit knife from his pocket and stared at the bulging quilt.
If you become an unjustly killed ghost, don't come to me. Go to that woman. She made me do it.
He raised his hand holding the knife, found the right spot and stabbed it hard. With one stab, the quilt sank in and he immediately realized that something was wrong.
He pulled back the quilt and saw two pillows lying neatly inside. The man's eyelids twitched and he realized that he had fallen into a trap.
Realizing something was wrong, he subconsciously wanted to flee the scene, but he was still a step too late.
When he turned around, he saw two men in black standing behind him. Before he could react, their hands were covering his mouth. In just a few seconds, his vision went dark and he passed out.
At the hospital entrance, Special Assistant Song sat in the car and kept looking at his watch. Just when he wanted to go in and take a look, he saw his men dragging the unconscious man out.
Special Assistant Song quickly helped stuff the man into the car.
"Were you not discovered?"
The man shook his head and said, "Mr. Qi hadn't returned when we left. The house has been cleaned up, so we won't be discovered."
Upon hearing this, Special Assistant Song breathed a sigh of relief. His boss asked him to protect Qi Xiu in secret.
There had been no movement for the past two days, until he discovered a man acting suspiciously tonight, so he became wary and asked someone to send Qi Xiu away.
Unexpectedly, he guessed it right. This man was here to harm Qi Xiu.
Fortunately, he is smart enough, otherwise he would have lost his job!
"You continue to observe in secret. Remember, don't take it lightly!"
After giving instructions to his men, Special Assistant Song rode away at full speed with the man in the car to report.
In just a moment, the man was tied up by Special Assistant Song in the basement.
Gu Jisui sat lazily on the chair, and Special Assistant Song handed him the information he had found.
"This man is called Lao Jiu. He's part of a gang that gets paid to do things. I think there's someone else who wants to harm Qi Xiu."
After Gu Jisui flipped through a few pages of information with his slender fingers, he gave Special Assistant Song a wink.
Then Special Assistant Song poured a bucket of cold water on the tied-up Lao Jiu.
When Lao Jiu woke up in shock, he saw a man in a suit and tie sitting lazily opposite him with his legs crossed.
Tied to a chair, Lao Jiu looked around in panic. There was not even a window in the dark house.
"Who are you? What do you want to do?!"
Gu Jisui looked at Lao Jiu and said coldly, "You don't need to know who I am. You just need to tell me who your employer is."
Lao Jiu paused after hearing this and said, "Why should I tell you? Let me go!"
Gu Jisui frowned, and Special Assistant Song immediately understood what he meant. Without saying a word, he punched Lao Jiu in the stomach.
Lao Jiu's screams immediately rang out in the basement.
"Be honest and tell me quickly, or you'll be in big trouble!"
Special Assistant Song stared at Lao Jiu and warned him, but he didn't expect that this man was a tough guy.
"Even if you beat me to death, don't even think about me telling you a word!"
There was blood at the corner of Lao Jiu's mouth, and he gritted his teeth, looking fearless.
Gu Jisui sneered, quite loyal, but...
"Keep him locked up and don't give him any food until he wants to be released, or dies."
Lao Jiu was stunned. He thought that as long as he didn't say it out loud, everything would be fine. However, he didn't expect that this person was also a ruthless person.
By the time he reacted, there was no one in the basement, and only the sound of the lock being locked remained.
After Chen Yuan finished her work, she bought some fruits and went to the hospital. Qi Xiu frowned when he saw her.
Before she could speak, Qi Xiu said coldly, "Don't waste your time with me. I don't know anything."
Hearing this, Shen Yuan was stunned for a moment, then raised the corner of his mouth, "I'm not here to ask you anything, but to see you."
Qi Xiu frowned, his eyes revealing ambiguous emotions.
Shen Yuan quietly peeled an apple and handed it to him, "How is your injury?"
Qi Xiu paused and took the Apple phone from her. "Thank you. It's almost healed. I plan to be discharged from the hospital."
Chen Yuan was stunned for a moment, but didn't say anything. She just said, "That's good."
She knew that as long as Qi Xiu didn't want to talk, no one could pry him open, so she no longer had any hope for Qi Xiu.
There is always a way. If it really doesn't work, she can just give up the one million.

Qi Xiu was stunned for a moment. He thought Chen Yuan just wanted him to let down his guard, so she told her that she was going to be discharged from the hospital as a test.
I thought she would try every possible means to stop me, but I didn't expect her to be so calm.
"It's getting late. You should have a good rest. I'm going back first."
While Qi Xiu was stunned, Chen Yuan had already stood up and prepared to leave.
