Gu Jisui raised his head, his dark eyes appearing even deeper in the bright sunlight. He frowned slightly wearily, then nodded slightly, signaling his assistant to come over.
He walked to Gu Jisui's desk and handed him the documents in his hand.
"Found it, the man's information." The assistant said, his tone revealing an indescribable excitement.
Gu Jisui's eyes lit up. He put down the document and took the information. His fingers gently slid across it, as if sensing the importance of the information. He flipped open the document and began to read it carefully. His brows sometimes furrowed, sometimes relaxed, as if he were deciphering a complex code.
Gu Jisui's gaze drifted over the documents, each line a memory, a forgotten secret. The man's name seemed to hold a magical power, evoking memories deep within him.
The assistant stood aside, waiting for Gu Jisui's reaction. He noticed that Gu Jisui's expression kept changing as he read, from confusion to surprise, and then to deep thought. Although he was curious, he knew this was not the time to ask questions.
Finally, Gu Jisui turned to the last page. He took a deep breath and put the information down. A new light flashed in his eyes, a mixture of surprise, doubt, and determination.
"This man..." Gu Jisui started to speak, but suddenly paused, as if searching for the right words, "I need to get to know this man better."
The assistant nodded immediately, "Okay, I'll follow up."
Gu Jisui's brow furrowed, his eyes becoming serious and deep. The document in his hand weighed heavily on his heart, like a heavy responsibility.
The assistant looked at Gu Jisui quietly without saying a word. He knew that his duty was to provide information and then wait for Gu Jisui to make a decision.
Gu Jisui turned to the next page, his eyes becoming more focused. He was searching for clues, for the man's weaknesses, for his opportunities.
His fingers glided lightly over the documents, as if caressing a piece of fine porcelain. His eyes shone with a unique light, a sharpness and insight that was unique to him.
Gu Jisui's fingers gently slid across the document, meticulously stopping at the photo. His gaze, like a gleaming sword, instantly grew sharper. He sat at his large desk, his eyes fixed on the photo, as if he wanted to imprint every detail of it in his mind.
It was a photo of a man with strong features and a deep gaze. He looked confident, as if he had everything under control. Gu Jisui took a deep breath, knowing he had to take action.
"Arrange a meeting with this man," Gu Jisui ordered. His voice was deep and powerful, each word filled with determination and command.
An assistant stood beside him, a man in a black suit and gold-rimmed glasses. He nodded in understanding after hearing Gu Jisui's order. Then, he cautiously walked out of the office and carefully closed the door, as if to isolate Gu Jisui's determination and orders from that space.
Gu Jisui watched his assistant leave, knowing that this man would be the key to his next move. He decided to meet this man in person to see if he was truly capable of becoming his partner.
Gu Jisui's gaze returned to the document, his fingers tapping lightly on the table, as if he was thinking about how to pull this man into his camp. He knew that this man had an extraordinary background and strength, and seemed to have similar goals and ambitions to himself.
He suddenly recalled his days in the business world, and an inexplicable emotion welled up in his heart. He knew that this man was no ordinary opponent and that he would need to use more sophisticated and cunning means to deal with him.
"I need to make a more detailed plan." Gu Jisui said to himself.
He slowly stood up and walked steadily to the window. Outside, the evening glow spread like a soft hue across the city. His deep gaze, through the transparent glass, fell on the bustling scene, as if recalling something.
The ringing of his cell phone, like the sound of a bird chirping, broke the brief silence. He frowned slightly, pulled his cell phone out of his pocket, and answered the call.
On the other end of the phone, his assistant said excitedly, "Boss, I've made an appointment to meet you at the Blues Cafe at 1:00 PM tomorrow."
A hint of satisfaction flashed in his eyes, and he said in a calm but powerful tone: "Well, you did a good job."
After saying that, he hung up the phone and turned his gaze back to the city outside the window.
A barely perceptible smile crossed his face, as if he was pleased that his plan was about to come true.
Gu Jisui stood by the window, immersed in the bustling city. The evening lights came on, like stars scattered across the vast universe, covering the city with a golden glow.
He looked at the people rushing around, all running for their own lives...
His eyes were filled with deep thought.
The next day, on a bright, sunny afternoon, the interior of the Blues Café appeared exceptionally refined under the sunlight. Gu Jisui sat by the window, his neatly tailored suit and exquisite tie revealing his elegance and taste. His stern face, shrouded in light and shadow, seemed a little lonely, like the air atop a snowy peak, cool and lofty.
His eyes were deep and bright, like the brightest stars in the night sky, emitting a determined light. His hands gracefully held the coffee cup, his fingers slender and powerful, as if he could seize the opportunities of life at any time.
As he waited quietly, a wealthy woman, dressed in luxurious attire, walked into the cafe. She was adorned with gorgeous clothing and jewels, looking like a proud peacock. With a proud smile on her face, she walked towards Gu Jisui with confident steps.
"Hello, handsome guy, are you alone?" the rich woman asked in a charming tone.
Gu Jisui frowned slightly, a hint of displeasure flashing in his eyes. He shook his head gently, his tone polite but cold, "Sorry, I'm waiting for someone."
The rich woman's expression changed slightly, but she didn't give up. She sat down and looked at Gu Jisui nonchalantly, "Waiting for someone? It seems your wait was worth it. You're dressed so handsomely, are you going to meet someone important?"
Gu Jisui did not respond, but just looked at her indifferently, the expression on his face as cold as an iceberg.
The rich woman felt a little embarrassed. She stood up and straightened her gorgeous dress. "Okay, I won't bother you anymore. Go wait for your important person." After that, she turned and left the cafe.
