Chapter 1 The Evil Ones Complain First

Chapter 1 The Evil Ones Complain First

"The Flower Kingdom auditions for "Extreme Survival" have begun!"

"After a year of waiting, I can finally watch "Extreme Survival" again."

"I hope the Flower Kingdom can produce one or two powerful figures this time."

"That's right. Last year, the contestants from my Flower Country were so badly defeated by the contestants from the Beauty Country."

In front of a barbecue stall, several young people were talking.

Lin Xi was not interested in what they said. She grabbed the thirty skewers of beef that had just been grilled and handed them to a man with a flat head. "It's grilled. A total of ninety yuan."

The flat-headed man took the beef skewers with one hand and fished out his phone from his trouser pocket with the other. Suddenly, a sharp voice came from not far away, "Run! The city management people are coming—"

Lin Xi had already formed a conditioned reflex. When she heard the sound, she picked up the basket with one hand and the small table with the other and ran away.

Lin Yuan reacted faster than her. While she was still bending down to pick up the table, Lin Yuan had already run forward pushing the barbecue rack.

Someone from the City Appearance Management Office got out of the car and chased after him, shouting, "Stop! Don't run!"

The two sisters ran even faster and disappeared from sight in a moment.

The remaining Flathead Brother was holding a beef skewer in one hand and a mobile phone in the other, staring at the two young men next to him.

Several people divided the beef skewers and ate them while walking. The flat-headed brother ate with his mouth full of oil, and he didn't forget to mutter, "It's not that I don't pay——"

Lin Xi and her sister Lin Yuan hid in a small alley. They looked at each other and Lin Xi sighed softly, "Sister, I didn't have time to collect the ninety yuan just now."

Lin Yuan hissed, as if he had a toothache. "I finally got a big customer, but tonight's work is all for nothing."

She stuck her head out and looked into the distance. "Auntie Liu's stall has been closed, and those people are still wandering around the square. Forget it, there's no business to be done today, let's go back."

Lin Xi picked up the table and carried the basket, while Lin Yuan pushed the barbecue grill. They crossed the alley, came out from the other end, turned a few corners, and stopped in front of a bungalow.

This is a courtyard house with one entrance, but the door has been replaced with a security door.

Lin Xi put down the things in her hands and was about to use the key to open the door when the door suddenly opened inwards. A little boy about ten years old rushed out from inside. The little boy was a little fat and rushed in a hurry. He almost bumped into the barbecue grill. Lin Xi reached out and pulled him, thus avoiding a possible accident.

The little fat man stood firm, took a good look at Lin Xi and Lin Yuan, and spat fiercely, "You two little bastards are blocking my way!"

Then the fat boy kicked the barbecue grill, and it fell to the ground. Some of the burning charcoal inside spilled out, and sparks flew everywhere.

Lin Xi quickly pulled her sister to avoid the flying sparks. Then she looked at the little fat boy, who was holding his feet with both hands, jumping on one leg to avoid the charcoal fire, and screaming like a pig being slaughtered, "Ahhhhh - it hurts so much!" He kicked his big toe when he kicked the barbecue grill just now.

Lin Xi sneered, it’s all your fault!

She was about to bend down to lift the grill when a woman suddenly rushed out from the door.

The woman reached out and grabbed Lin Xi's hair, cursing, "You little cousin, you have no mother to teach you, how dare you bully my son?"

Lin Xi quickly dodged and sneered, "I don't know who is this person who has no mother's education. He is mean and annoying. He will be beaten to death sooner or later."

Huang Juan failed to catch Lin Xi, so she raised her hand and slapped Lin Yuan next to her.

Lin Yuan was not a pushover either, and grabbed Huang Juan's wrist.

Huang Juan waved her other hand towards Lin Yuan again.

Lin Xi picked up the fallen tongs, picked up a piece of burning charcoal and waved it at the woman, "If you dare to touch my sister, try it—"

Huang Juan's hands were grabbed by Lin Yuan. She struggled to free herself, stared at the burning charcoal, took a step back, and suddenly yelled at the top of her lungs, "Liu Dongsheng, are you deaf? Why don't you come out? Your wife and son are going to be bullied to death by your daughter. Oh my God, there's no way they can survive—"

Huang Juan's shouting caused several nearby neighbors to open their doors and stick their heads out to see what was going on.

Huang Juan saw the neighbors all craning their necks to look over here, so she reached out and hugged the little fat boy, pretending to wipe away her tears. "Everyone, please judge for yourself. How could they have the heart to harm such a young child? He's my brother after all. How cruel!"

The neighbors gradually gathered around, but no one paid any attention to Huang Juan's words. They all watched silently.

Seeing that Huang Juan was the first to complain, Lin Yuan angrily said, "Stop talking nonsense. It was your son who kicked over our barbecue grill. He screamed because his foot hurt. What does it have to do with us?"

The neighbors remained silent. This was not a matter that should be interfered with. The grudge between the two families could not be sorted out or explained in a short time.

At this time, a bald and fat man walked out of the door. The man was of medium build, wore glasses and a black jacket.

He had a gloomy face and slapped Lin Xi on the head as she was facing away from the door as he walked down the stairs.

The man's hand was so strong that Lin Xi staggered forward and her head was buzzing.

She covered her head and turned around to see that it was Liu Dongsheng. New and old hatreds surged up in her mind, and she threw the piece of burning charcoal in her hand at him.

The two men were close to each other, and Liu Dongsheng couldn't dodge. The burning charcoal fell on his shoulder, and his synthetic jacket immediately caught fire.

Liu Dongsheng felt like he was electrocuted. He jumped and shook off the charcoal and slapped it several times before extinguishing the spark on his shoulder.

He turned his head and looked at Lin Xi with a ferocious expression, "You are a rebel. How dare you fight with me?" Then he raised one leg and kicked Lin Xi.

Lin Xi dodged quickly, picked up a piece of burning charcoal from the ground and threw it at Liu Dongsheng.

Liu Dongsheng was middle-aged and overweight, and his movements were not very agile. He finally dodged awkwardly and almost twisted his ankle. The fat boy shouted in his mother's arms: "Dad, beat her, beat her to death, beat this little cousin to death——"

His son's words seemed to give Liu Dongsheng a stimulant. He turned around, went into the door, and rushed out with a stick as thick as a bowl.

Lin Xi sneered, pulled her sister, and spun around flexibly.

Liu Dongsheng waved his stick repeatedly but didn't even touch their shadows.

The onlookers were also affected and hurriedly moved away, trying to stop the fight. "Dongsheng, forget it, forget it. He's just a child after all. A stick this thick could kill him."

Just as there was a commotion at the door, a woman with a sallow complexion and skinny bones came out of the yard tremblingly and walked to the door.

She seemed to have exhausted all her strength, leaning limply against the door frame, waving a kitchen knife feebly. "Liu Dongsheng, you... you beast, if you bully those sisters again, believe it or not, I will kill your entire family first, and then commit suicide. I don't have many days left to live anyway."
