Chapter 128 Ineffective Flattery

But she wouldn't be sincere, she was just using her as a stepping stone.

This woman in the mask is really amazing.

Zhou Shuo still doesn't know what her true face is. On the one hand, he covets Mu Ci, and on the other hand, he doesn't want to let Luo Bing go. He has such a big heart!

Duan Si was very enthusiastic and chatted with Luo Bing from time to time.

Zhou Shuo knew that Second Brother wouldn’t be able to taste the dishes she cooked today!

When Luo Bing left, Duan Si pushed Song Nan to see her off and forcibly grabbed Zhou Shuo, preventing her from taking another step forward.

After walking out of everyone's sight, Song Nan finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Luo Bing said calmly, "Miss Song, please stay."

Song Nan smiled and said, "Please allow me to see you off a little longer, otherwise my aunt will nag you again when we get home."

Luo Bing didn't know what to say.

Song Nan sighed softly, "As long as I don't get married and you don't marry me, I guess my aunt will never stop fantasizing about you."

Luo Bing smiled and said, "Otherwise, I'll tell Madam Mu clearly next time that neither you nor I have such intentions."

Song Nan stopped and looked at Luo Bing.

Luo Bing didn't understand what was going on, so he stopped and looked at Song Nan.

Song Nan's eyes were covered with mist: "What if I do have it?"

Luo Bing was stunned.

Song Nan smiled sadly, "Is it my wishful thinking? How could someone like me be worthy of you? Only my aunt is confused. She thinks that just because I have the support of the Mu family, I will be accepted. How is that possible? Who would want to marry an orphan?"

Her tears fell at just the right moment.

Luo Bing frowned, "Don't think so. You will definitely meet someone who truly loves you. It's just that fate hasn't arrived yet. The elders like to worry about things, so just ignore them."

Song Nan carefully wiped away her tears and forced a smile, saying, "Look at me. I don't know why I've been so easily sad lately. I'm sorry to have embarrassed you. It's okay. My emotion is just a momentary feeling. You're right, it's just that our destiny hasn't arrived yet."

Luo Bing nodded.

Song Nan laughed and said, "Did my aunt scare you today? You couldn't even enjoy Zhou Shuo's cooking properly."

Luo Bing said calmly: "It doesn't matter, Junior Sister's skills are all in my memory."

Song Nan couldn't help but sigh, "Your brothers and sisters have such a good relationship. I envy you so much. You have brothers and sisters, as well as brothers and sisters. Unlike me, I'm always alone."

Luo Bing couldn't help but ask, "Didn't you and the Mu brothers grow up together?"

Song Nan smiled bitterly: "It's natural to see it that way from outsiders, but - never mind, I'm an adult now, and my childhood is over."

Luo Bing looked at Song Nan deeply.

I don’t know if it’s because he’s read too many scripts, but he always feels that Miss Song is a textbook green tea character.

However, he was not a master of tea appreciation and had no interest in her at all. What happened to her had nothing to do with him.

After seeing Luo Bing off, Song Nan stood there for a long, long time, letting the chilly evening breeze mess up her hair and chill her heart.

She even began to doubt Luo Bing's sexual orientation.

How could such a stubborn man exist? Did he lack even the slightest empathy?

Song Nan gritted his teeth, all his passion was wasted!

Duan Si felt that she had finally gotten into the Shen family and couldn't give up Luo Bing. This was her best destination, didn't she know that?

However, she had tested Luo Bing again and again.

No matter she was an intellectual, elegant, mature and independent woman, or a poor orphan with a miserable life who lived under the care of others, Luo Bing had no interest in her.

He just doesn't like her, no matter how she behaves!

Zhou Shuo stood on the terrace, looking at Song Nan, who was standing still after seeing Luo Bing off, and murmured, "Does Song Nan really like Second Brother?"

Mu Ci, who was pruning branches nearby, looked outside upon hearing this and said, "What are you worried about? Luo Bing doesn't like her anyway, and everyone can see it."

Zhou Shuo turned back to look at Mu Ci, "So, I don't have to worry about her liking you, because you don't like her anyway?"

Zhou Shuo tilted his head and looked at Mu Ci with a smile.

Mu Ci paused, then put down the scissors, stood up, reached out and pulled Zhou Shuo into his arms: "Little devil!" Then he kissed her lips hard.

When Song Nan looked up, he saw this lingering scene under the flowers and the moon. He couldn't help but clench his fists. His fingertips pierced into his palms but he didn't feel any pain at all.

Why is it so difficult for her to get things that others can easily obtain?

What makes her worse than others? Is she not working hard enough, or is she not good enough? Why do the men around her not even want to look at her?

Song Nan lowered her eyes, tears streaming down her face.

Zhou Shuo pushed Mu Ci away, panting heavily, and said angrily, "Hateful!"

Mu Ci, however, held her waist tightly, pulling her close to him, and nuzzled her nose with his. "Have you learned to be naughty?"

Zhou Shuo glared at him. "That's right. She likes you, anyone can see it. I don't care because I know you don't like her! She always does little things behind my back, trying to make me sad and upset, trying to make me mind that you two grew up together, humph!"

Mu Ci laughed and let go of Zhou Shuo, "So my little Zhou Shuo is jealous. That's right, knowing how to be jealous means you've really grown up."

He took Zhou Shuo's hand and walked into the room.

Zhou Shuo wanted to push the wheelchair, but Mu Ci signaled that it was not necessary.

"Then if you walk in like this, they--" Zhou Shuo was a little worried.

Mu Ci said calmly, "They'll have to know eventually, so let them get used to it first."

Zhou Shuo didn't know what Mu Ci was planning to do, but she supported him no matter what he wanted to do.

When she was a child, her master told her that if she got married in the future, she should either follow the chicken or the dog, or try her best to turn the chicken into the dog she likes, or turn the dog into the chicken she likes!

She didn't quite understand what this meant, but she was too lazy to think about it. Now that she was married to Mu Ci, she decided to just follow the simplest first half of the sentence: marry a chicken, follow the chicken; marry a dog, follow the dog.

When Song Nan came in, he saw Mu Ci and his friend walking down the stairs hand in hand, and he was shocked.

The person who was stunned in the other direction was Duan Si.

"Mu Ci, your legs--" Duan Si could hardly find his voice.

Mu Ci looked down at his feet and said calmly, "Yes, my legs are much better now. I can take a walk every day and walk more."

Duan Si's eyes looked as if she had seen a ghost. She was so shocked that she couldn't say a word. She just watched the two people walk past her hand in hand.

It wasn't until Song Nan walked over to her and supported her that she came to her senses. "Song Nan, did you see that? Did you see that? It can't be my illusion, right? Mu Ci can actually, actually walk now!"

Song Nan held onto Duan Si's fingers and tightened them, "Yes, Auntie, I saw it."

Duan Si lost his voice and said, "What about Mu En?"

Song Nan was speechless.

How could a mother treat her two biological sons so differently?
