Chapter 10 Amnesia

Qin Yi didn't want to explain too much, so he took a big step, grabbed Nan Qianyue, and hoisted her onto his shoulder.

"Ah! Qin Yi! You madman, put me down!" Nan Qianyue roared again, her limbs thrashing and struggling.

She'd completely forgotten her promise to feign compliance for the time being.

Snap—

Qin Yi slapped Nan Qianyue on the buttocks, not hard, and said in a deep voice, "Shut up if you don't want to be laughed at by the whole army."

"You little bastard, how dare you spank her in public!"

It's best if he doesn't fall into her hands, otherwise she'll strip him naked and hang him in the street as a public spectacle!

Nanqianyue was both ashamed and angry. She clenched her fist behind Qin Yi's back and started pounding it, intending to hit his butt but she couldn't reach it.

The white-clad man outside the marshal's tent turned his head and saw this dramatic yet strangely familiar scene.

"Your Highness." The man in white nodded slightly.

Qin Yi nodded in response with a cold face, and carried Nanqian Yue into the camp first.

The man in white followed Qin Yi inside with a calm expression, seemingly already used to Qin Yi's aloof and arrogant demeanor.

"Take a look at her head." Qin Yi put Nan Qianyue down, his voice somewhat cold.

As soon as the moon set in the south, she tried to push Qin Yi away, and she did so with all her might.

However, Qin Yi didn't move an inch, but she herself lost her balance and fell backward.

Qin Yi shook his head helplessly and pulled her back, pressing her against his chest and looking down at her indignant brows. "There's probably something wrong with your brain. Let Bai Shu take a look at you, otherwise I won't feel at ease."

Nanqianyue almost laughed in anger, "You're the one with a problem! You're the one who needs to get your brain checked, as well as your eyes, your ears, your nose, your heart. You're an idiot, there's something wrong with your whole body. You should get yourself checked out!"

To mistake someone you like for someone else is utterly idiotic.

Qin Yi's eyes were dark, and his suppressed anger transformed into a terrifying aura, causing the patrolling soldiers passing by outside to tremble involuntarily.

"puff……"

An untimely laugh successfully broke the deadlock. Bai Shu shook his head and smiled. He looked at Nan Qianyue, who was spewing harsh words and had a stubborn expression, and said gently, "A-Yue is still as free-spirited and unrestrained as ever."

Nan Qianyue withdrew her gaze from Qin Yi and turned to look at the white-clad man who spoke very gently and politely.

She wore a pure white robe, clean and elegant, with delicate features, like a figure in a painting, and bright, gentle eyes.

They are completely opposite to Qin Yi.

He called her A-Yue?

Then this is someone the daughter of the Southern Prime Minister knows.

"Don't you remember me, A-Yue?" Bai Shu asked with a light laugh.

With a listless expression, Nan Qianyue replied coldly, "You've mistaken me for someone else. I am not the daughter of the Southern Prime Minister."

Bai Shu still wore a faint, gentle smile as he looked at Qin Yi, "So what Your Highness said was true."

Qin Yi lowered his eyes. "Let her take a look."

After saying that, he pressed Nan Qianyue into a chair and sat her down, while he stood beside her to prevent her from not cooperating.

Bai Shu nodded, took out a medicine box, and took out a row of bright silver needles.

Silver needles?!

Nan Qianyue was a little scared. "What are you going to do?" She made a move to get up and run away.

But Qin Yi held him down firmly, saying, "Don't move, it won't hurt."

Bai Shu held a silver needle in his hand. Even with his gentle smile, he looked terrifying in Nan Qianyue's eyes.

Qin Yi frowned slightly and simply reached out to press Nan Qianyue's acupoints, rendering her unable to move or speak.

She could only watch helplessly as silver needles pierced her brain and neck.

This technique is clearly different from acupuncture; in any case, she couldn't understand it.

After about half an incense stick's time, Bai Shu retrieved the silver needles, his expression solemn.

He said, "Just as Your Highness guessed, A-Yue has lost her memory."

Amnesia?

Nanqianyue's speechlessness could not be conveyed by her expression. Didn't she know whether she had lost her memory or not? She was not from this dynasty at all, how could she be the daughter of the Southern Chancellor?

These ignorant ancient people would rather believe she has amnesia than doubt that there is something wrong with their eyes and brains?

Qin Yi's slightly complicated expression made it impossible to tell what he was thinking. He stared intently at Nan Qianyue for a long time before finally speaking, "I understand. You will stay in the military camp for now, and the guards outside will take you to your tent."

Bai Shu smiled and said, "Alright, I'll go and look through some ancient medical books to see if I can find a way to restore my memories."

Qin Yi lowered his eyes and simply hummed in agreement.

After Bai Shu left, Nan Qianyue raised her eyes and glared at Qin Yi, conveying with her eyes: Now you can release the acupoints, right?

Qin Yi did not do as instructed. Instead, he squatted down in front of Nan Qianyue, held her hand, and stared at her cold and distant face with eyes full of affection and pain.

"I was planning to punish you properly, but you've completely forgotten about me. Shouldn't I be the one punishing you?"

Southward Migration Month: ...This is illogical and absurd.

Qin Yi kneaded her hand and continued, "But I just can't bear to. I can't bring myself to hate you. Whenever I see you, I want to hold you in my arms, kiss you, and pour out my heart..."

Southward Migration Month: ...So you just act like a hooligan.

"Moon, please don't abandon me again, okay? I'll help you find those lost memories, little by little, okay?"

Qin Yi's eyes gradually reddened, his voice trembling with pain and pleading, his pupils reflecting the smiles and frowns of his beloved.

Nan Qianyue's eyes darted around involuntarily, and she suddenly felt as if she had been pricked by a needle in her heart.

She lowered her eyes and thought, just how much Qin Yi loved that daughter of the Southern Prime Minister. The love and pain in his eyes touched her deeply.

Qin Yi took her hand and kissed it gently, a gesture unlike his previous haphazard kisses.
