Chapter 136 Why did Miss Nan think so badly of the Prince?

Qin Yi's cold gaze fell on Nan Qianyue, and he said word by word, "The third condition is that at any time and in any place, as long as I am here, you must stand by my side."

After saying that, he stretched out his palm towards Nanqianyue.

Xiao Chen seemed to have caught something amiss. He frowned and looked down at Nan Qianyue, "Nan Nan, what did you promise him?"

I was so annoyed by the move south; I should have repaid him in a different way.

"A life-saving grace," Nan Qianyue uttered in a muffled voice.

Upon hearing this, Xiao Chen's expression darkened. He glared coldly at Qin Yi and said sarcastically, "She also saved your life. What gives you the right to blackmail her?"

Nan Qianyue was stunned. She had saved Qin Yi's life.

However, Qin Yi remained unmoved. He kept looking at Nan Qianyue and spoke again, "If you don't come over, I will kill this spy on the spot."

"I'm here! Don't kill me!"

The people who migrated south took their first steps without any backbone.

This time, Xiao Chen surprisingly did not stop her.

Because stopping her would only harm her.

In this situation, she is only safe if she stands on the side of Dongling.

Nan Qianyue walked straight to Qin Yi's side and pleaded softly, "Can you release Uncle Yan?"

Qingyi heard this, and just when he thought the prince would compromise with Miss Nan again, he heard Qin Yi say a few words very firmly.

"He is a spy, how can we let him go?"

Nan Qianyue could clearly feel a cold aura surrounding her. She knew that Qin Yi was angry, so she had no choice but to keep quiet for the time being.

Qin Yi gave Xiao Chen one last look, a look that was chilling and menacing.

He withdrew his gaze, grasped Nan Qianyue's wrist, and turned to leave.

The guards then withdrew, and the courtyard returned to silence.

Xiao Chen stared in the direction they had left, his eyes filled with gloom.

"Who suggested bringing Nan Nan here?" he asked in a gloomy tone.

Ye Jian shuddered and answered truthfully, "It's Uncle Yan."

He paused for a moment, then added, "Uncle Yan was worried about the master, which is why he asked me to invite Miss Nan over. I thought it made sense, so I went voluntarily."

Xiao Chen's lips curled into a cruel smile. "You reap what you sow."

Ye Jian couldn't bear it and advised, "My lord, Yan Bo's actions were for your sake; he shouldn't die."

Xiao Chen sneered, "Acting on his own initiative, even if he isn't arrested by Prince Anzheng, I will still skin him alive."

Ye Jian's heart skipped a beat, but he didn't want to give up. "My lord, perhaps we can ask Miss Nan for help..."

"Shut up!" Xiao Chen shouted sternly. "He used to be in charge of several secret outposts, but now that he's fallen into the hands of Prince Anzheng, he can only die."

Xiao Chen looked up into the distance, his eyes filled with cold-bloodedness. "Uncle Yan's life is over. He knows what to do."

Qin Yi led Nan Qianyue through a series of alleys to a wide but quiet street, which seemed to have been deliberately cleaned up.

There was a large carriage made of ebony wood parked there.

Ignoring Nanqianyue's resistance, he lifted her onto the carriage.

Inside the carriage, Nanqianyue's hair was slightly disheveled, and she sprawled on the soft seat as if in a sorry state.

Since I can't win against it anyway, I might as well give up.

Qin Yi sat to the side, his expression cold, his aura heavy, and he remained silent.

The carriage stopped after traveling for half an hour.

Thinking they had arrived at the Prime Minister's residence, Nanqian Yue eagerly pushed open the carriage door and jumped off.

"Prince Anzheng's Mansion?"

Nanqianyue stood stunned at the foot of the solemn steps in front of the Prince's Mansion.

While she was still in a daze, Qin Yi pulled her along and walked into the mansion.

"Why did you bring me to the Prince's mansion? I... I still have embroidery homework to finish!"

Qin Yi ignored him, his expression remaining cold and indifferent.

He led Nanqianyue through various pavilions and towers, through a large garden without a single flower, until they arrived at a rockery.

He pressed down on a small stone on the artificial hill, and the large stone in front of him lifted up like a door.

A dark hole suddenly appeared in sight.

This is the entrance to the Prince's Palace's secret prison.

Qin Yi saw Nan Qianyue's fear, so he coldly uttered two words, "Dark Prison".

Then he pulled her inside.

The temperature in the dark cell suddenly dropped, and it was filled with an aura of death.

Since outside light couldn't penetrate, they could only use beams of fire for illumination.

Nan Qianyue followed behind Qin Yi, trembling, with one hand held by him and the other tightly gripping his sleeve.

This place is too gloomy and terrifying.

"Your Highness, everything is ready."

A man in green robes came out from inside. He had ridden at full speed and had imprisoned his spies here in advance.

Qin Yi nodded slightly and led Nan Qianyue into a dark room.

In the innermost corner of the dark room, Yan Bo's hands were bound by iron chains, his toes touching the ground, and his whole body was suspended by iron chains.

Before him, his bodyguards, whips in hand, had already left bloody welts on Yan Bo's body.

"Uncle Yan!" Nan Qianyue suppressed the urge to run over. She grabbed Qin Yi's arm and pleaded, "Uncle Yan isn't a bad person, please don't kill him."

Qin Yi's cold gaze fell on her face. "Am I a bad person?"

Without a second thought, Nanqian Yue exclaimed, "Of course you're a good person!"

Qin Yi scoffed coldly, "Since he's a good person, then what he did was a good thing."

“Use torture until he confesses to other spies.”

His cold voice fell, and the guards raised their whips again, the sound of which was piercing, but Yan Bo remained silent.

Nan Qianyue was extremely anxious. He had heard from Uncle Yan that he was in charge of several secret sentry posts and was one of the managers of the sentries.

Now that Qin Yi has arrested him, he will definitely force him to reveal the identities of other undercover agents.

She was from Dongling, so she should logically be on Qin Yi's side.

But she couldn't do it; she couldn't just stand by and watch Uncle Yan be tortured.

Qin Yi had no reason to bring her here. Why did he bring her? What was his purpose? To anger her? To intimidate her? Not necessarily.
