Chapter 15 The Vanished Prescription

Qin Yi noticed something was wrong with the person beneath him, and he looked up at her face.

He glanced at it once and then looked away, not daring to look any longer.

That empty look in his eyes terrified him.

He clenched his fist, and most of his anger was instantly extinguished.

"...Don't cry."

Qin Yi rolled up his sleeves and wiped Nan Qianyue's face haphazardly, then quickly dressed her again.

I didn't dare look at her face the whole time. After I tidied her up, I picked her up and carried her back to camp.

Snap—

An unusually loud slap landed on his face.

Then, a trembling, resentful voice rang out from the person in her arms, "Qin Yi, you deserve to be abandoned."

What woman would like such a domineering person?

These words were like a sharp knife piercing Qin Yi's heart.

He didn't say anything, and continued carrying her forward...

The next day, no one came to urge Nanqianyue to get up, and when she woke up, she didn't even know what time it was.

Looking at the toiletries laid out and the steaming food on the table, Nan Qianyue remained calm and composed.

When she stepped out of the tent, she bumped into Bai Shu, who had come looking for her.

"Ah Yue, you're finally awake," Bai Shu said teasingly.

Nanqianyue returned with an extremely faint smile, "Sorry, I overslept."

Bai Shu approached and was slightly taken aback when he saw her appearance. "A-Yue, why are your eyes so red? Didn't you get enough rest?"

Nan Qianyue's eyes flickered unnaturally. "...Maybe."

"Then why don't we rest a little longer? Anyway, the plague is under control." Bai Shu looked at her with concern.

Nan Qianyue smiled and said, "If I sleep any longer, everyone will laugh at me. Let's go help out at the pharmacy."

"All right."

As soon as the two arrived at the pharmacy, they encountered a military doctor who had returned from a centralized medical treatment camp.

The military doctor walked over with a guilty look on his face as soon as he saw Nan Qianyue.

"What's wrong, medic? Did something happen in the treatment area?" Nan Qianyue asked hurriedly when she saw that the medic's expression was off.

The military doctor awkwardly clasped his hands. "Don't worry, Dr. Nan, the situation over there is improving and there's no problem. The problem is... I... I lost the prescription you wrote."

"I have searched carefully, but I really can't find it. Please don't be offended, Dr. Nan."

Upon hearing this, Nanqianyue immediately burst into laughter, as if it were something serious.

"It's alright, medic. Losing it is fine. What's in your head will never be lost."

The military doctor immediately smiled and bowed deeply to Nan Qianyue, saying, "Thank you for your understanding, Doctor Nan."

"It's alright, it's alright." Nan Qianyue quickly helped the military doctor up.

"This matter cannot be handled casually," Bai Shu interjected solemnly.

During the southward migration, the military doctor looked at him blankly, "Brother Bai, why do you say that? It's just a prescription, isn't it?"

Bai Shu shook his head and looked at the military doctor with a serious expression, "May I ask where the prescription is kept?"

The military doctor thought for a moment and answered with certainty, "In the table box inside the tent."

"Store separately?"

"No, all the prescriptions are kept in the same box on the same table."

"Only what A-Yue wrote was lost?"

"...Yes, yes!" The military doctor finally realized that it was not just Dr. Nan's writing that had been lost.

Bai Shu frowned. "There's something fishy about this. We must inform the Prince."

Nan Qianyue's expression immediately turned cold. "So it was stolen. Spreading the prescription might not be a bad thing. Consider it an act of kindness. What's there to report?"

"Doctor Nan is kind-hearted, but not everyone is like that. If the prescription is stolen by someone with a bad heart, it could cause trouble, and then the blame could be placed on the Dongling Army, which would be bad."

The military doctor is now even more remorseful. He was the one who lost the prescription, and he would be held responsible for any problems that arose.

Judging from Nan Qianyue's expression, Bai Shu, being as clever as he was, probably guessed something. He feared that the prince had secretly sneaked into the southern district last night and angered A-Yue.

"Ah Yue, wait for me here, I'll be right back." Bai Shu knew the importance of this matter and knew it had to be reported.

Nan Qianyue turned her back coldly and casually waved her hand, "Go ahead."

Inside a certain camp tent.

The two women, dressed in green and red, were reporting the situation in Fengdu to Qin Yi.

"Your Highness, the spy has successfully planted a seed of suspicion in Yang Hua's heart. Now he disagrees with the Lord of Fengdu City and suspects him of using the people as human shields. His repeated proposals for peace talks have all been rejected," said the man in red.

The man in green quickly added, "Now that we've captured the old man's son, I don't believe he won't surrender."

"By the way, Your Highness." The man in green became serious. "According to the report from the secret guards, the man in black who slipped out of Fengdu City that day disappeared in Xiqiu. It seems that Xiqiu Kingdom is unwilling to let go of Fengdu, this lucrative prize."

Qin Yi looked up; the room was unusually quiet.

Disappearing in Xiqiu does not mean one is from Xiqiu; deceiving others is a common trick used by someone from Nanjing.

He didn't believe that person was unaware of Yue'er's appearance.

"Continue to proceed as planned."

"Yes." The two nodded at the same time, their movements almost identical, clearly indicating that they had been specially trained.

"Report! Marshal, news has arrived from the southern region," a soldier reported from outside the tent.

Qin Yi slightly raised his hand, and the man in green immediately turned around and went outside the tent to take the note handed to him by a soldier.

"Your Highness." The woman in green didn't open the note but handed it directly to Qin Yi.

Those were white characters, and the content written on them was about the loss of the prescription written by the Southern Migration Month.

Qin Yi glanced at it briefly, and his eyes immediately darkened.

The first person he thought of who could sneak into the Southern District and steal the medicine formula without being seen by the secret guards was Ye Jian, a retainer of that person.

Only that person would have a reason to steal the prescription, probably to verify Yue'er's authenticity through her handwriting.

"Your Highness, has something happened to Miss Nan?"
