The Prime Minister's Residence, Ningxiang Residence.
During the southward migration, the Second Prince's punishment was announced to everyone.
"...That's equivalent to being stripped of political power for life and spending the rest of his life guarding the imperial tombs. If the assassin they sent to kill Liang yesterday hadn't died, his crime would be even more serious."
Nan Yichu clapped her hands, "That's it! His arranged marriage with my eldest sister is completely off!"
Nan Kezhi sighed inwardly, "The royal family is so heartless."
"Second sister, you can't be soft-hearted! The Second Prince deserved his fate. He harmed the Liang family so much!" Nan Yichu said indignantly.
Nan Kezhi shook her head. "It's not that I'm soft-hearted, it's just that I feel Your Majesty... sigh."
Nanqianyue patted the back of her hand, "I understand how you feel, little sister. It's all in the past now, let's just live our own lives."
The Prime Minister's wife picked up her teacup, took an elegant sip, and said, "That's right. Since the marriage between the Second Prince and you is off, I will discuss with the other ladies and arrange a blind date for you."
Nanqianyue immediately lost her spirits. "Mother, I'm not in a hurry."
The Prime Minister's wife smiled calmly, "I'm not in a hurry. I'll help you choose slowly until you're satisfied."
Nanqianyue: "..." Then I'll never be satisfied.
"Young lady, there is a swordsman outside the manor looking for you." This time, the steward didn't come running; his tone wasn't as urgent as usual.
Even someone with their toes could guess who it was that migrated south.
She didn't hide it from her family and said calmly, "It's Ye Jian, a retainer of the Crown Prince of Nan Jing. I'll go take a look."
The Prime Minister's mansion gates, the moon over the threshold as the emperor moved south.
"Did you fly here?"
Nanqianyue glanced at the empty space around Ye Jian.
Ye Jian nodded and then shook his head, "There are flying, running, and walking."
Nanqianyue raised an eyebrow and said, "You must have had a tough time."
"Speak, what do you want?" Nan Qianyue asked casually, smoothing out her sleeves.
Ye Jian said, "I would like to see Uncle Yan."
Nanqian's eyes narrowed slightly. "So?"
Ye Jian said, "I beg Miss Nan to help me by taking me to see him."
A hint of unease flashed across Nan Qianyue's eyes. "What does Xiao Chen mean?"
Ye Jian shook his head, "It is I who want to visit Uncle Yan."
Nan Qianyue frowned slightly and told him the truth, "Uncle Yan won't die, don't worry. He will leave the Court of Justice in a few days and will need to live in anonymity."
"He revealed half of Prince Yu's secret agents in Nanjing, but did not betray Xiao Chen. In His Majesty's eyes, he is Prince Yu's man."
Ye Jian lowered his eyes slightly, "I know he won't betray his lord, I just want to go see him."
Nan Qianyue pursed her lips. "I can't take you in. Everyone knows you're Xiao Chen's man. Although Prince Yu is your enemy, you are still people of Nanjing. How can we let people from other countries into such a vital place as the Tingwei Mansion's prison?"
Ye Jian said, "I understand. Then, Miss Nan, could you go and see him for me? I don't trust anyone but my lord. I only trust Miss Nan."
Nan Qianyue noticed that Ye Jian was acting strangely today. "Has something happened?"
Ye Jian shook his head. "I'm just worried."
Nanqianyue sighed softly, "Alright."
Ye Jian smiled slightly, "Uncle Yan likes to eat braised pork hock from East Street, drunken chicken from South Street, braised pork belly pancakes from West Street, and roast suckling pig from Granny Wang's house..."
Nanqianyue chuckled, "You seem to understand Uncle Yan quite well; it's definitely true love."
She turned to the steward and instructed, "Steward, please help Ye Jian buy all the food, then prepare the carriage and call me."
The butler bowed and said, "Yes."
Nanqian Yuechao waved to Ye Jian, "I'll go in first, you go buy things."
As Ye Jian watched Nan Qianyue's relaxed figure, a hint of guilt gradually welled up in his indifferent eyes.
At Qingyun Courtyard, Wei Da was summoned during the southward migration.
"Please inform Qin Yi for me."
Wei Da straightened his back and said, "I've already notified them. The Prince is at the Court of Justice. Miss Nan can just go there directly."
The man nodded approvingly and encouragingly, "Your efficiency is good, you'll get a raise next month!"
Wei Da couldn't help but smile, but he still forced a serious and respectful expression. "Serving you, young lady, is my duty!"
Li Bing, hidden in the shadows, kept shaking his head.
Alas, the road to winning back his wife seems to be getting longer and longer.
We should inform the lord of what has happened here as soon as possible.
Green-clad, in a cheerful mood, came over carrying washed mulberries and plums coated in candy.
"Young lady, please try these. The mulberries are freshly picked, and the plums are freshly made."
Nanqianyue smiled and gestured for Green to sit down, saying, "Sit down and eat together."
"Alright!" The green-clad figure was unusually cheerful thanks to the southward migration of the moon.
Standing silently to the side, Ayu lowered her head in disappointment.
Now that's bad; the lord has fallen out of favor, and she has fallen out of favor as well.
"Ayu, come here too!" Nanqianyue waved and beckoned to her.
Ayu's eyes lit up instantly. "Oh! Your servant is here!"
Two maids sat on either side of Nan Qianyue, serving her fruit and tea with great attentiveness.
Green-clad glared at Ayu several times while she wasn't paying attention during the southward migration.
Ayu scoffed and rolled her eyes at her several times.
"Miss, are you angry with the lord?" Ayu asked cautiously.
Nan Qianyue wiped her mouth, her eyes filled with confusion. "Why should I be angry with him?"
Ayu was taken aback, then grinned and said, "It's because I'm not very bright, I asked the wrong question."
The woman in green said in a low, sarcastic tone, "If you're not thinking straight, then don't talk."
Ayu's smile vanished in an instant. "Who knew the toad was croaking?"
The woman in green curled her lip and said, "Who are you calling a toad?!"
Ayu shrugged. "Who should be talking about whom?"
