Qin Yi declined to comment for the time being, saying, "I'll try some others."
During the southward migration, only five dishes were prepared. Qin Yi quickly tasted them all, swallowed them, and did not spit them out.
In the end, he chose to be honest because the consequences of lying through one's teeth would be bad.
"Moon, the kitchen isn't for you."
Southward Migration Month: "..."
She was quite shocked. She had followed the chefs' instructions exactly, so it shouldn't have tasted too bad, right?
It must be because Qin Yi is too picky about food!
With her last glimmer of hope, Nanqianyue picked up her chopsticks and ate a piece of fish.
"Um?"
"vomit!"
Nanqianyue vomited, and Zisu quickly stepped forward to wipe her mouth.
"Why does it smell so fishy!" Nan Qianyue's facial features contorted.
Qin Yi couldn't help but chuckle, reaching out to hug her and comfort her, "Actually, it's alright, I can eat it."
Nanqianyue looked up as if to cry, "You can eat this? Then you can eat it."
Qin Yi: "..." I really can't lie through my teeth.
Finally, the five dishes that looked good but were actually "more complicated than they seemed" were removed, and the kitchen sent over a new table of exquisite dishes.
As Granny Chang passed by, she brushed past a line of maids clearing away the dishes. Puzzled, she stopped one of them and asked, "Why are you clearing away the dishes without eating them?"
The maidservant reported truthfully, "It was the Princess's order, saying that... it wasn't done well."
Granny Chang leaned down suspiciously, sniffed the food, then picked up a piece and tasted it, "..."
She straightened up with a grim expression and looked towards Baiquan Residence. This princess really wasn't a considerate person.
How could the prince possibly bear having her serve him?
If only the prince could marry a considerate concubine soon.
.
Night falls.
Behind the gauze curtain, Nan Qianyue placed one of her jade-like feet on Qin Yi's chest, resisting his approach.
She said sullenly, "No, it's only been one night. If you're so unrestrained, who can stand it?"
Qin Yi, with calloused hands, gently rubbed her delicate feet, coaxing, "I'll be gentle."
Nanqianyue refused to believe it, saying, "It just won't work."
A hint of disappointment flashed in Qin Yi's eyes, and he relented, "Alright then, I'll just have to bear with it a little longer."
Nanqianyue then withdrew her foot, patted the area next to her pillow, and said, "Go to sleep."
A glint flashed in Qin Yi's eyes, and he suddenly pounced on Nan Qianyue.
"What are you doing? You cunning liar!" Nan Qianyue pushed him outwards with both hands against his chest.
Qin Yi's gaze was intense as he easily took her hand in his. He knew very well what Nan Qianyue was sensitive about, and it wouldn't be difficult for him to arouse her interest.
Two hours later, Nanqianyue collapsed weakly into Qin Yi's arms.
"Wash me clean..." she said, and then fell asleep.
Qin Yi replied to the sleeping woman, "Yes, sir."
Day and night alternate, and in the blink of an eye, the sun hangs high in the sky.
Sitting in front of the bronze mirror, Nanqianyue looked tired, but her face was unusually rosy.
"Your Highness, the Prince has gone to the Black Rider Camp and will likely not return until nightfall. You do not need to wait for the Prince to have his meal." A servant's voice came respectfully from outside.
Nanqianyue lazily lifted her eyelids and said, "Hmm."
It's best if they don't come back.
"Zisu, according to common sense, shouldn't I have my own courtyard?" Nan Qianyue asked, fiddling with a jade hairpin.
Zisu nodded. "Yes, Your Highness. According to etiquette, you should be in Lingxi Courtyard, while this is the Prince's Tianji Courtyard."
Nan Qianyue put down the jade hairpin and stood up. "Alright, move all my things to Lingxi Courtyard."
"yes."
In the corridor, Granny Chang watched the servants moving things back and forth, and randomly grabbed one of them, asking, "What are you all doing?"
The servant replied, "Reporting to Madam, it is because the Princess wants to move back to Lingxi Courtyard."
Granny Chang nodded thoughtfully. It seemed that this princess knew some manners and knew that it was not good to stay in the prince's courtyard all the time.
Standing in Lingxi Courtyard, Nanqianyue gazed at the rockery and pine trees that filled the garden and secretly marveled.
Is the garden in this prince's mansion all in the same style? Not a single flower is planted?
Its stiff, rigid style truly reflects its owner.
Butler Lu, observing Nan Qianyue's displeasure, said, "Your Highness, this old servant will immediately go and invite a gardener to redesign this garden. I wonder what Your Highness's requirements are regarding the varieties of plants?"
After thinking for a moment, Nanqianyue said, "There must be flowers in all four seasons. The fragrance should not be too strong, nor should there be none. The colors should not be too monotonous, nor should they be too messy and complicated."
Her gaze shifted to a clean pond. "Plant some lotus flowers in this pond, at least three varieties, and they cannot be mixed. I want to inspect them separately."
A bead of sweat appeared on Butler Lu's forehead as he listened to the Princess continue:
“Build another wooden bridge over the pond, place different varieties of flowers every three meters along the corridor, and place four different types of orchids at each of the four corners of the pavilion, all of which must match the garden's design…”
Nanqianyue talked on and on, and Steward Lu was sweating profusely, with beads of sweat dripping down his face. Even Zisu and Lüyi looked terrified.
Fortunately, this difficult task wasn't theirs.
The servants moved quickly and efficiently, and soon all the belongings of the person who had migrated south were moved over.
Standing by the large, round viewing window, Nanqianyue gazed at the neatly trimmed pine trees two meters away, a hint of worry in her eyes.
The attentive Zisu tentatively asked, "Your Highness, is something troubling you?"
Nanqianyue sighed softly, raised her hand to dismiss the rest of the servants, and touched her belly with worry, saying, "Zisu, I don't want to have a child yet."
Zisu's eyes widened in surprise. She quickly looked around to make sure no one was watching before saying, "Your Highness, you can't say things like that."
Nanqianyue dismissed it, saying, "So what if I talk about it? I just don't want to have children."
"Giving birth is too painful. What if my body is ruined after giving birth? Besides, I'm not ready to be a mother."
