At the Prince Anzheng's residence, the sky gradually darkened.
Halfway through his southward journey, he lay on a soft couch by the window, lost in thought, clutching a white porcelain bottle in his hand.
Zisu, who knew the situation, looked worried. "Your Highness, Lord Bai said that this medicine should be taken at least four or five days later."
Nanqianyue's eyelashes fluttered, and she silently handed the porcelain bottle to Zisu with her head down, saying, "Put it away."
However, the outstretched hand was grasped by a slightly rough, large hand.
Nan Qianyue shuddered and suddenly looked up, meeting Qin Yi's dark, inky eyes.
Her pupils flickered slightly, and she said in an unnatural tone, "You're back. You must be very tired."
Qin Yi picked up the porcelain bottle, gently rubbing the body with his fingertips, his expression unusually calm. "I am a little tired."
Nan Qianyue pulled him down to sit, "Then let me massage your shoulders."
She knelt behind Qin Yi, placing her hands on his shoulders and gently pressing them. Thinking of her father's words, her brows instantly filled with sorrow.
“Father said you won’t take the Black Riders to Dragon Gate City.”
Qin Yi lowered his eyes slightly, not responding to her words, but instead raised the white porcelain bottle.
"What's this?"
Nan Qianyue paused, her fingers rubbing his shoulder, and after a few seconds of silence, she whispered, "Medicine."
Qin Yi's eyes darkened. "What medicine?"
Nanqianyue frowned slightly and sat back on the soft couch. "You should know by now, this is a birth control pill."
Silence fell in the room, and the atmosphere became somewhat stagnant.
After a long while, Qin Yi placed the porcelain bottle on the table, slowly turned around, and stared into Nan Qianyue's eyes.
His voice was low and husky, "Actually, I will respect whatever your wishes are."
Nanqianyue felt a strange pang of self-reproach. She looked up at Qin Yi and said, "I didn't mean to hide it from you, I..."
"I know." Qin Yi took her hand and held it, his handsome face showing a hint of weariness in the candlelight.
He said, suppressing his emotions, "If I don't want to have children, then I won't."
His thoughtfulness only made Nanqianyue feel more guilty.
Nan Qianyue pursed her lips tightly, as if she had made a major decision. She reached for the porcelain bottle on the table and threw it out the window.
She raised her eyebrows and smiled, "I won't eat anymore. If I get pregnant, it's fate."
Qin Yi's eyes reddened, and he pulled her into his arms, "Then tonight..."
Nan Qianyue cupped his face and pinched it, "You're leaving tomorrow, so tonight... it's up to you."
Qin Yi's pupils burned with intensity, and he was ready to engage in a thrilling battle as soon as he leaned in.
"Wait a minute." Nan Qianyue pressed her hand to his mouth and smiled. "Don't rush. Take a look at what I've prepared for you. If anything is missing, we'll add it."
Qin Yi didn't want to spoil her mood, so he went to the outer room as she asked.
Pointing to her luggage, Nanqianyue explained, "These are clothes, these are medicines for wounds, these are dried fruits and dried meat..."
"Check if there's anything missing."
Qin Yi smiled; this didn't look like someone about to head to the border for battle, but rather like someone going on a trip.
But he did not reject Nanqianyue's good intentions; instead, his gaze shifted and landed in a dark corner.
He walked over and took out a small box from a hidden drawer.
Nanqianyue leaned closer, "What's this?"
Qin Yi opened it, revealing a neatly folded jade-colored ruqun (a type of traditional Chinese dress).
"These are the clothes I wore when I traveled through time, and you actually kept them!" Nan Qianyue exclaimed in surprise.
Qin Yi's eyes were heavy. "As long as it's there, you're there."
Nan Qianyue was taken aback, but her mind worked quickly. "You mean... if I accidentally travel back in time, the clothes I brought with me will also disappear?"
Qin Yi nodded with lingering fear, "Two years ago, after you fell off the cliff, we searched for three days and three nights at the bottom of the cliff, but we found nothing."
"I miss you, so I took out the clothes you wore when you first appeared, but they were gone."
“I can’t understand it, and I even suspect that his people stole your clothes.”
"But everything became clear after I learned about your background."
Nan Qianyue frowned, stepped forward and hugged his waist, looking up at him, "Don't worry, I will wait for you to come back safely, I won't disappear."
Qin Yi put down the suitcase, hugged her, and said earnestly, "Then I'll bring it with me too."
Nanqianyue chuckled, "Whatever you want, you can bring the entire palace with you."
A smile crept across Qin Yi's lips as he bent down, scooped her up in his arms, and carried her toward the bed in the inner room. "Now, it's time to get down to business."
The candlelight flickered, casting intertwined shadows behind the gauze curtains.
Qin Yi cradled Nan Qianyue's neck, his muscles tense, and a certain indescribable sound grew increasingly rapid...
...In the middle of the night, Nanqianyue, nestled against Qin Yi's chest, asked with her eyelids open, "Are you really only taking your trusted men? Can't you find any other troops?"
Qin Yi pressed her head and kissed her, his voice hoarse, "Don't worry, Longmen City has 200,000 troops, that's enough."
He paused for a few seconds, then said, "After I leave, Red Robe will move into the palace to protect you."
Nan Qianyue instantly regained her senses, propped herself up and looked at him, "You're not bringing Hongyi? No, she has to come with you."
Qin Yi stroked her cheek, his eyes shimmering with tenderness. "I'm only taking Qingyi and a few trusted confidants with me; the rest will stay in the capital."
Nan Qianyue frowned deeply. "You're not taking Zhuo Yuanzhi and the others with you? No, no, this is too dangerous. You must take them with you."
Qin Yi rolled over, pinning her beneath him, and stroked her features with his fingertips. "I can do whatever you want, but this time, listen to me, okay?"
Filled with worry, Nan Qianyue's eyes reddened. "You've already sent so many guards to protect me, I'll be fine. The one in danger is you."
A dark glint flashed in Qin Yi's eyes. "I'm afraid he'll take you away again while I'm not around."
Nan Qianyue was stunned. "You mean... Xiao Chen?"
