Chapter 23 She really has amnesia

The southward migration left Yue stunned.

Could this be another case of two women who look alike causing a romantic entanglement?

“I am not the Nan Nan you are talking about. Although I am also called Nan Qian Yue, I am not the Nan Qian Yue you know. I came to see you today because the contents of the note are from my hometown, and I want to know who wrote it.”

Nanqianyue spoke calmly, afraid of provoking the red-eyed monster into doing something as beastly as Qin Yi.

The man's expression was somewhat strange, but more so one of pain. His pleasant voice was almost choked with sobs, "Nan Nan, did you use some advanced medical technology to erase me from your brain?"

What is he saying? He has quite the imagination.

"My lord, news has arrived from Dongling." Yan Bo's voice rang out from outside.

The man composed himself slightly and moved his lips, "Present it."

As soon as he finished speaking, something resembling a dart flew in with a whoosh, gliding past Nan Qianyue's ear and being caught by the man with his bare hands.

Tsk tsk, another master with profound inner strength.

These lookalike sisters have great taste, but they're also incredibly audacious, constantly attracting troublesome people.

As Nan Qianyue sighed, the man had already opened the note and read its contents. He immediately looked up at Nan Qianyue, his eyes filled with shock.

"You have amnesia?"

The Southern Migration Month was taken aback; so this was the news.

"Qin Yi had his doctor examine me, and the conclusion was indeed that I had amnesia."

Nanqianyue answered truthfully, but then refuted it, "But the truth is, I am not the Nanqianyue he knows, nor have I lost my memory. I do not know him, nor do I know you."

The man suddenly laughed.

He said slowly, "You are you, and there are never two months of southward migration."

Seeing the bewildered look in Nanqianyue's eyes, he continued, "The contents of the note are what you once wrote to me. You are from another time, you come from the future."

The southward migration was filled with trepidation; her heart was pounding so hard it felt like it would burst out of her chest. Could it be that the sister who looked exactly like her was also a time traveler?!

Her somewhat sluggish thought process was immediately brought back on track by the man's next words.

"In the future, you are a female celebrity who accidentally travels through time while filming a rescue operation for a woman who has fallen off a cliff."

Female celebrities...

A female celebrity with the same name? Impossible!

...It turns out that none of this was a coincidence.

Nan Qianyue's legs felt weak. She looked into the man's eyes and asked, "What else do you know?"

The man put his arm around Nan Qianyue's shoulder and said, "Your father's name is Nan Jinchuan."

Upon hearing this, Nan Qianyue immediately collapsed, but thankfully the man caught her in time, crying out, "Nan Nan!"

If her name, identity, and habits are coincidences, then what about her father?

The southward migration month had to face a reality.

She really has amnesia. The person Qin Yi is talking about is her, and the person the man in front of her is also talking about is her.

The man carried Nan Qianyue to a cushion next to the table and poured her a cup of hot tea. "Nan Nan, have some hot tea first."

Nan Qianyue looked up at him blankly, "How do you know so much? Is it all... what I told you before?"

The man had completely suppressed his resentment, and he smiled happily, "Yes, you told me little by little. At first, I didn't understand, so you wrote it down on paper and explained it to me slowly."

"Nan Nan, this is a secret between us." There was even a hint of pride in his tone.

After drinking hot tea during the southward migration, a sense of warmth helped to alleviate some of the panic and confusion.

"What...what's your name?" Nan Qianyue asked him calmly.

The man's eyes darkened, revealing a hint of hurt.

“Xiao Chen,” he said.

"Xiao Chen... what did you mean when you said that I chose you, and then I lied to you?"

Nanqian Yue thought she had to quickly regain her memories, and the fastest way was to listen to other people's accounts.

Xiao Chen lowered his eyes, as if he was thinking about something. "Nan Nan, I'll tell you about what happened in the past slowly later. Why don't you come back to Nanjing with me first, okay?"

They refused to talk.

However, the fact that she was able to tell Xiao Chen her true background in the past must mean that she trusted him extremely.

Going to Nanjing with him first is not a bad idea.

However, she still wanted to visit Fengdu.

To find a way back, she must retrieve her previous memories, and right now, she also needs to carefully study the location where she woke up this time.

"Can I go to Fengdu first?" Nan Qianyue asked tentatively.

Xiao Chen paused, a strange glint flashing in his eyes. He chuckled softly, "Why does Nan Nan want to go to Fengdu?"

After thinking for a moment, Nan Qianyue concluded that based on the men's behavior after seeing her, they definitely didn't want her to leave.

“I lost something very important there. It’s a piece of jade that I’ve had since I was a child. It’s very important to me.” She started to put on an acting performance, and her eyes welled up with tears as soon as she finished speaking.

She did have a piece of jade that her grandfather gave her when she was born. She wore it with her every day since she was a child, but she lost it two years ago.

Is this it?

With unusual composure, Xiao Chen took out a piece of imperial green jadeite inlaid with gold and diamonds from his pocket. He smiled, his eyes full of tenderness.

"This is a gift from you. So... it was you who raised it from childhood." His smile became even gentler.

God?

Nanqianyue was stunned; the jade that had been missing for two years was actually in this man's hands.

What was she thinking before, giving away something so important?

"Besides this, there's more." Nan Qianyue composed herself and said very seriously, "There are other things as well."

"What is it?" Xiao Chen wasn't easily fooled.

During the southward migration, she readily told a lie: "It's an outer garment, a jade-colored ru shan, a spirit world modified version that my good friend spent a year tailoring for me. I can't lose it."
