Chapter 234 Why did he insist on staying at the border? Was it because of the Crown Prince of Nan Jing?

The river was swift and deep, and the southward-migrating moon was quickly submerged.

One by one, the guards in green jumped into the water to search for the person.

In the water, Nanqianyue held her breath, closed her eyes, relaxed her body, and let herself sink, letting the river carry her away.

But she waited a long time, until she felt discomfort in her lungs, and her body was still immersed in the water. The dizziness of the time-space shift never came.

She thought that perhaps when she swam up, she would see the modern environment, and maybe when she opened her eyes she would find herself in her own swimming pool.

With this in mind, Nanqianyue no longer allowed her body to be swept away. She moved her limbs and, according to the changes in the river's speed, used her agile swimming skills to slowly rise to the surface.

"Ah Yue!"

"Miss Nan is over there!"

The guards on the shore and in the water all moved southwards.

Nanqianyue stared blankly at them, feeling utterly cold inside.

Oh no, she didn't get back in time. Does this mean she'll have to stay in this feudal and outdated dynasty forever?

"Ah Yue, grab the rope quickly!" Bai Shu shouted urgently from the shore.

Nanqianyue snapped out of her daze and quickly composed herself. "No need, I can get up here by myself."

She tossed the rope to the guard who was clearly having difficulty breathing, and then swam towards the shore, swinging her limbs.

However, while swimming, I caught a glimpse of Qingyi struggling. He kept his forehead exposed, and his features were submerged in the water.

Nanqianyue immediately noticed his abnormality; he must have gotten his feet tangled in the water plants.

Without hesitation, she tilted her head back, took a deep breath, and plunged back into the water, swimming towards Qingyi.

On the shore, Bai Shu and the others were extremely anxious, watching helplessly as the moon, which was migrating south, disappeared into the water, and they also noticed that something was wrong with Qingyi.

"Lieutenant General Qing has drowned!" a guard shouted.

Bai Shu grew increasingly anxious and ordered the guards to swing ropes to find long sticks, but it seemed they were too late; Qingyi had already drowned.

After surfacing to catch their breath, the guards who hadn't yet reached the shore plunged back into the water to search for the missing person.

Just as everyone was in a state of panic, the woman in blue who had just been submerged in the water was lifted up by someone.

Then, Nanqianyue's head popped out of the water, shouting, "Quickly, throw the rope over here!"

Bai Shu waved his hand quickly, "Hurry!"

The rope swung out, and Nanqianyue tied the woman in blue to it. "Pull!"

The guards worked together to pull Qingyi ashore.

The southward-migrating moon also successfully swam to the shore using its own abilities.

"Ah Yue!" Bai Shu quickly pulled her up. "Are you alright?"

Nan Qianyue shook her head and walked towards the woman in blue lying on the ground. "I'm fine. He's the one who's in trouble. He must have drunk a lot of water. We need to help him vomit it up."

As she spoke, she squatted down beside Qingyi and pried open his mouth to check for any foreign objects.

Bai Shu realized what was happening and hurriedly grabbed her, "I'll take care of her, A-Yue, you rest!"

Nan Qianyue looked at him suspiciously, "Do you know how to perform artificial respiration and CPR?"

Bai Shu nodded, "I can, I can use a needle to force him to vomit water and revive his heart."

Nan Qianyue breathed a sigh of relief, "That's good, hurry and save him."

Bai Shu nodded repeatedly, wiped the sweat from his forehead, and took out the silver needles he always carried with him.

He was still shaken; thankfully, he stopped it in time, otherwise he would have had a hard time explaining himself to the prince.

As the silver needles were inserted, Qingyi spat out several mouthfuls of water, coughed a few times, and then fainted again.

Nan Qianyue frowned and reached out to feel his pulse. "Qingyi doesn't seem to be very good at swimming."

Bai Shu nodded. "Indeed, he was ordered to protect A Yue. When he saw you jump into the river, he lost his composure and jumped in after you."

Nan Qianyue pursed her lips, her eyes filled with guilt.

"Your arm is injured!" Bai Shu suddenly grabbed Nan Qianyue's wrist.

Looking down, Nanqianyue noticed blood seeping from his forearm.

She didn't feel any pain until she noticed it, and then her face fell. "I must have been cut by a rock in the water."

...Back to the military camp.

The group of people, soaking wet, attracted the attention of the guards, but no one dared to look at Nanqianyue for more than a second.

Bai Shu brought Nanqian Yue and the unconscious Qingyi to the pharmacy and ordered someone to fetch dry clothes.

"Take a look at Qingyi first. My injury is nothing serious." Nan Qianyue waved her hand casually, her eyes devoid of any luster.

Bai Shu didn't understand her thoughts either, so he said gently, "A-Yue, nothing is more important than life. I hope you can think more positively."

Nanqianyue gave a bitter smile, "I'm not trying to figure things out, but many things are just hard to understand..."

"Southward Migration Month!"

A voice, tinged with suppressed anger, suddenly rang out.

Nanqianyue frowned and turned her head, only to see Qin Yi striding towards her with an angry expression.

His gaze swept hurriedly over Nan Qianyue's body, finally settling on her forearm.

"Why wasn't it bandaged?" he asked Bai Shu reproachfully.

Bai Shu hurriedly brought over the medicine and placed it on the table. "I'm sorry to trouble you, Your Highness. Qingyi has drowned. I'll go see him first."

Qin Yi looked grim, but his movements were swift. He rolled up Nan Qianyue's sleeves and began cleaning, applying medicine, and bandaging.

Nanqianyue did not resist, sitting expressionlessly as if nothing could attract her attention.

After the bandaging was finished, the woman in red brought over dry clothes.

With a cold expression, Qin Yi picked up Nan Qianyue and carried her into the inner room of the pharmacy.

"What are you doing?" Nan Qianyue struggled to get down. "I can walk by myself, put me down!"

Qin Yi ignored her, carried her into the inner room, put her down, and took the dry clothes handed to him by the woman in red and placed them on the table. "Change yourself. I will come in in half an hour."

After coldly remarking, Qin Yi turned and left, closing the door behind him.

Nan Qianyue stood there blankly, cursing Qin Yi in her heart while quickly changing her clothes.
