"This man must be made of stone," Nanqian Yuexin thought.
Qin Yi squatted down and reached out to touch her feet, but she slapped his hand away.
"It's none of your business!"
Nanqianyue stood up and, without thinking, jumped onto the black horse next to her.
The surrounding Black Rider generals all widened their eyes. She actually dared to ride the prince's mount, and the key point was that Xuan Chi did not resist.
The Xuan Chi only obeys the prince; no one else dares to approach it.
But right now, it actually let Miss Nan sit on it, and it looked extremely composed, even obedient.
Even Qin Yi showed a hint of surprise in his eyes.
Nanqianyue noticed the stares from those around her and muttered, "What's wrong? Is this horse sick?"
As soon as she finished speaking, Xuan Chi immediately raised its horse's head, as if in protest.
Qin Yi's eyes crinkled with a smile, his gaze growing increasingly intense as he looked at her. "You're not sick."
He pulled over a chestnut horse that had been prepared for the Southern Migration Month, mounted it, raised his hand slightly, and his authoritative voice rang out, "Let's go."
The massive procession moved slowly forward. General Du stood on the sentry post in the camp, looking at the two figures ahead of the procession, and nodded with a slight smile.
His voice, as clear as an ancient bell, rang out, “I thought you, this block of iron, would never find love in your life, but now it seems that Heaven has finally taken pity on you.”
...Three days later.
The group that migrated south arrived in Shicang County.
From afar, one could see a middle-aged man standing outside the county town gate, standing on tiptoe and looking at the black-clad cavalry, his expression excited.
Nan Qianyue guessed that he was the Southern Prime Minister, and her brows furrowed involuntarily.
However, when she saw Nan Xiang's appearance clearly, she was stunned. Her vision was instantly clouded with tears, blurring Nan Xiang's features.
Qin Yi noticed her unusual behavior and asked softly, "What's wrong?"
Nanqianyue ignored him and dismounted to run south.
She ran very fast, calling out in a tearful voice, "Daddy!"
"You old bastard! So all of this was your plan?" She cried and complained, hugging Nan Xiang.
Overwhelmed with emotion and guilt, Nan Xiang was also somewhat bewildered and at a loss. "My dear daughter, it is your father's fault that you have been living away from home for eighteen years."
Nanqian Yue let go of him, her moist eyes glazed over. "What are you talking about, you old geezer? What do you mean by being away for eighteen years? We've only been apart for two or three months."
Nan Xiang looked completely bewildered and was speechless for a moment.
Nan Qianyue looked at Nan Xiang's beard strangely, "Didn't you say you didn't like growing beards? Is that true?"
She grabbed it and pulled hard.
Nan Xiang cried out in pain, "Ouch, ouch, ouch! My dear daughter, please stop!"
Nanqianyue was even more bewildered, exclaiming, "Is it a real beard?!"
"Something's not right!" Nanqianyue noticed something amiss.
She stared at Nan Xiang's physique, then swung her fist and punched him several times in the chest and stomach, exclaiming, "You're not a stinky old man! A stinky old man isn't as weak as you!"
Nan Xiang clutched his chest and stomach, his face contorted in pain. "My dear...my daughter, it's your father's fault. Hit me if you want, I won't blame you."
The moon tree that migrated south remained in the same spot, its eyes gradually losing their luster.
Qin Yi walked over and explained to Nan Xiang in a calm voice, "She doesn't remember anything from before."
Upon seeing Qin Yi, the Prime Minister's face darkened. "This old minister is already aware of the matter. Thank you, Your Highness, for finding my daughter."
After saying that, he changed his expression in a second, looking at Nan Qianyue with affection, "Qianyue, quickly come with your father to the inn to rest for a while. We will set off back to the capital early tomorrow morning."
Nan Qianyue looked at him, then at Qin Yi, and finally decided to follow Nan Xiang.
...The carriage was slow, so it took five days for the Southern Emperor and his party to arrive in the capital.
The Black Riders had already returned to their camp, located thirty miles outside the capital, two days prior.
At the main gate of the Prime Minister's residence, the Prime Minister's wife, along with her children and concubines, waited.
As the carriage arrived, the steward personally stepped forward to help the Prime Minister, saying, "Prime Minister, you've had a long journey."
Nan Xiang waved his hand, "It's not hard work, I'm extremely happy."
He turned around and called to the carriage behind him, "Qianyue, come out quickly and pay your respects to your mother."
Nanqianyue clutched her handkerchief tightly and stepped off the carriage with trepidation.
Facing the gaze of the crowd, she composed herself and walked forward confidently.
When she saw what the Prime Minister's wife looked like, she was stunned.
How could someone look so much like her?
Nan Xiang patted Nan Qianyue's back kindly, "Qianyue, aren't you very surprised? You and your mother look like you were made from the same mold."
Nan Qianyue smiled and nodded slightly to the Prime Minister's wife, "Mother."
The word "mother" felt somewhat awkward to her.
The Prime Minister's wife's eyes were slightly red, but she remained dignified and did not show the same excitement as the Prime Minister.
She nodded gently. "Let's go inside."
As Nan Qianyue obediently followed, she noticed out of the corner of her eye that a young man was casting an unfriendly glance at her.
She looked up, and the boy immediately looked away, pretending nothing had happened.
The southward migration didn't bother Yue; for her, finding a way back was the key.
...I thought that after moving into the Prime Minister's residence, life would be peaceful.
But the southward migration was naive.
The Prime Minister's wife had been very attentive to her a few days ago, but a few days later she began to scold her in various ways, mostly saying that she had problems with her manners.
I started by teaching her manners every day; that was one thing.
Secondly, his younger brother, who was taken advantage of, would come to cause trouble every now and then.
She threatened not to acknowledge her as the eldest sister, and played all sorts of pranks on her, such as catching bugs and dressing up as a ghost.
Thirdly, led by the Fifth Princess and the Eldest Princess, they led noble ladies to ridicule and belittle her.
Most people say she was shameless and used her looks to seduce Prince Anzheng.
