Nanqianyue wasn't buying it, and said slowly, "It's not funny at all."
The princess choked, a cold glint flashing in her eyes.
The Fifth Princess was furious. "Does it matter whether you think it's funny or not? You're so clueless—"
"Shut up!" Qin Yi ordered sternly. "Red Robe, take her back to Changchun Palace."
The woman in red nodded. "Yes."
"Royal Uncle..." The Fifth Princess looked pitiful, yet dared not refute.
"Fifth Princess, please." The woman in red extended her hand.
The fifth princess stomped her foot and left, looking aggrieved.
The eldest princess composed herself, smiled slightly, and said to Qin Yi, "Uncle, I have already booked a private room. May I invite you to admire the treasures with me?"
Qin Yi didn't even glance at her, and pulled Nan Qianyue's wrist, leading her inside.
The princess's face stiffened, her eyes swirling with dark currents, which finally turned into a fierce stare at Nan Qianyue's back.
Song Suihuan muttered, "She really has no sense of propriety, daring to flirt with the prince in broad daylight."
Nan Qianyue heard this, and the corner of her mouth twitched violently.
Are they blind? Who seduced whom?
Qin Yi looked down at her, "I will teach them a lesson."
Nanqian Yue gave him a cold look, "You don't need to tell me about your affairs."
Qin Yi felt a little stifled, but couldn't help replying in a low voice, "I'll say it anyway."
Southward Migration Month: "..."
In the premium private room, Nan Qianyue and Qin Yi sat on the stands, attracting a lot of attention.
Most people say that Yue was very capable when she moved south; with her stunning beauty, she actually managed to seduce Prince Anzheng.
Nanqianyue pretended not to hear, but couldn't help glaring at Qin Yi every now and then.
The auction began, and the items presented were indeed quite good.
Nanqian Yue's attention was drawn to him, and she stopped paying attention to Qin Yi.
But because she kept staring at the auction items, Qin Yi spent a fortune to buy everything she had looked at more than three times.
However, Nanqianyue did not think it was bought for her.
She and everyone else were very surprised.
"You're so rich?" Nan Qianyue asked casually.
Qin Yi smiled confidently, "A small amount of profit."
The forced smile of the southward migration month—what a Versailles!
Next up was a jade carving of a carp leaping over the dragon gate. It wasn't particularly outstanding, but it was still quite unique.
The moon, resting its chin on its hand, murmured with great interest, "If the forehead cannot become a dragon, it will return to be with ordinary fish."
Qin Yi's pupils flickered, and he turned his gaze to stare at her profile, assuming that she was only interested in the jade carving.
The eldest princess of the Silver Company has been keeping a close eye on the situation here.
A cold smile curled at the corner of her lips. She raised her hand and waved her hand, and the servant immediately quoted double the price.
She wanted to see just how good Prince Anzheng would be to the Southern Yue Kingdom.
Nan Qianyue looked up at the Silver Shop, just as the Princess was looking at her.
She remained expressionless, glancing at him only once before looking away.
Qin Yi turned and gave Qingyi a look. Qingyi nodded and stepped forward.
"Sky lanterns! The Gold Company has lit sky lanterns!" the crowd exclaimed.
Nanqian Yue was also taken aback and couldn't help but look at Qin Yi, "You like jade carvings so much?"
Qin Yi's expression stiffened. "Didn't you realize that I've been buying things for you all along?"
Nanqianyue's eyes widened even more. "Buy it for me? I didn't say I wanted it."
Qin Yi's expression darkened slightly. "I wish to give it to you."
Nanqianyue: "..." Oh no, going to the capital is going to be a trending topic again.
As she expected, the events that happened at the Xingtian Auction House today were exaggerated and spread like wildfire among the people.
Therefore, upon returning to the Prime Minister's residence, she was summoned to the Jingtang Hall by the Prime Minister's wife, who severely criticized her and punished her by making her kneel for an hour.
Even the Southern Prime Minister's attempts to persuade him were to no avail.
“Madam, Qianyue has only been back for a short time. We already owe her a debt, so we shouldn’t be too harsh on her.”
“Go and listen to what’s being said outside. If we don’t restrain them, what will become of us?”
“Oh, Madam, outsiders may be blind, but can’t we see clearly? It’s clearly Prince Anzheng who’s harassing Qian Yue. Qian Yue is innocent.”
“I know, but she made a mistake today. She should have returned to her residence immediately after encountering Prince Anzheng, instead of going to the auction house with him.”
Nanqianyue overheard the conversation outside, but remained unmoved.
After a while, the Prime Minister's wife came in.
She stood beside Nan Qianyue and spoke as calmly as possible, "I have already ordered someone to return the things that Prince Anzheng sent to him."
She paused for a moment, then added, "In a few days, Prince Anzheng will set off for the Eastern Territory. You should calm down and stop getting entangled with him."
Nanqianyue's eyes flickered slightly. Was Qin Yi going to the border again? And what about her?
She had no desire to stay in the capital; there was absolutely no clue here about how to travel back in time.
After much deliberation, she made up her mind that as soon as Qin Yi left, she would secretly slip away to the border.
...A few nights later, after taking a bath, Nanqian Yue dismissed the maids and took out a sketchbook to look through.
The summer night breeze carried a heat, but thankfully there were ice blocks inside to cool things down.
She lay sprawled on the soft couch, facing inwards, completely unaware of the dark figure standing outside the window behind her.
"You like looking at picture books?"
The sound came suddenly, startling Nanqianyue, who instinctively hid her sketchbook.
She stood up and looked out the window, her brows furrowed with anger. "Why are you here? Breaking into a young lady's boudoir at night, is this the style of Prince Anzheng?"
Qin Yi's eyes held a complex expression, concealing a trace of reluctance:
"I will set off for the Eastern Territory tomorrow."
Nanqianyue looked displeased. "You came all this way just to say this?"
A hint of disappointment flashed in Qin Yi's eyes. "Why are you so resistant to me?"
"Because you restricted my freedom," said the cold-hearted man who had moved south.
