Chapter 53 Helping her regain her memories

Startled, Yue jumped up from her seat. "Who?"

The vermilion curtain was lifted by a large hand, revealing a cold and handsome face.

"Qin Yi?!"

Nanqianyue emphasized the words "Southward Migration," her eyes flashing with anger. "How dare you break into a woman's room so late at night! What kind of behavior is this!"

Qin Yi just watched her quietly.

Nan Qianyue got goosebumps from his gaze. She rubbed her arms and shooed him away irritably, "You better leave now, I'll pretend I didn't see you."

Qin Yi's dark eyes flickered. "Come with me obediently, or I'll knock you out. Choose."

"What nonsense are you talking about? Who wants to go with you? Where are you going at night?" Nan Qianyue looked at him like he was mentally ill. "If you don't leave, I'll call for help!"

Without hesitation, Yue opened his mouth as if to shout.

But it couldn't outrun Qin Yi's hand strike.

Her vision blurred and she fainted.

...When I woke up again, I was still in bed, an unfamiliar bed.

Red chestnut bedding, beaded brown curtains, wood incense...

Nan Qianyue rubbed the back of her neck, frowned, and sat up, Qin Yi's cold face flashing through her mind.

Qin-Yi-!

What exactly is he trying to do?

The curtains were not closed, and Nanqianyue could see the unfamiliar room clearly by turning his head. The candlelight was dim, but he could still make out the general shape.

The room was spacious and sparsely furnished, exuding a sense of depth and composure.

As she moved south, Yue lifted the covers and got out of bed. Suddenly remembering something, she looked down and saw that she was still wearing that milky white nightgown, neatly made.

She breathed a slight sigh of relief and walked quietly towards the outer room.

As you approach the screen door, your gaze passes through the openwork wood carvings on it, and you can vaguely see a man in black sitting at a table in the outer room.

Nan Qianyue's gaze suddenly turned sharp and piercing. She yanked open the screen door and strode toward the man.

"Qin Yi! What exactly are you trying to do?" She glared at him across the table.

Qin Yi slowly raised his eyes, his gaze traveling from her slender waist upwards to her indignant brows and eyes. His expression appeared calm, but beneath the surface, a turbulent undercurrent surged within.

He asked, "When did you meet Xie Yanzhou?"

Nanqianyue's brows furrowed even more. "You arrested me just to ask this?"

Qin Yi's gaze was like that of a predator in the forest at night, aggressive and oppressive, making one feel tense to the point of suffocation. "Answer properly, or I'll take care of you."

A look of terror flashed in Nan Qianyue's eyes, and she instinctively backed away, "You...you're a madman."

She turned and ran towards the door, pried open the latch with both hands and pulled hard, but it wouldn't budge; it was locked from the outside.

Nan Qianyue was terrified, her heart trembling. She bit her lower lip and turned around, only to be met with Qin Yi's broad chest.

She flinched in fright, but quickly composed herself.

She looked up and met Qin Yi's cold gaze, only to hear him ask again, "When did you meet him?"

"How would I know?" Nan Qianyue said, her fear rising with a hint of anger. "I already said I have amnesia, no matter how much you force me, I can't tell you."

Qin Yi placed his hand on the door, slowly bent down and leaned closer to Nan Qianyue, his dark eyes fixed on her brows and eyes. "Since you've forgotten everything, why are you all smiles and laughter with them, but... avoid me like the plague?"

"Is that so hard to understand?" Nan Qianyue met his oppressive gaze without backing down. "Don't you have any self-awareness about how rude, arrogant, and disrespectful you are?"

A hint of hurt surfaced in Qin Yi's eyes, "Have you forgotten that we already..."

He didn't finish his sentence, and the pain in his eyes grew even stronger.

Nanqianyue carefully pondered his words, wondering if what he meant by "already" was actually what she was thinking.

"What do you want to do with me after kidnapping me?" Nan Qianyue certainly didn't think he just wanted to question her about her relationship with Xie Yanzhou.

Qin Yi lowered his gaze, picked up Nan Qianyue in his arms, turned around and sat down at the table.

Nan Qianyue was pinned to his lap and unable to escape. He placed the items on the table in front of Nan Qianyue and said in a deep voice, "This is the Jie Si Dan. Eat it."

Jie Si Dan... You Xian Zhen?

It turns out that Qin Yi captured her to help her regain her memories.

"you……"

"Stop talking, just eat." Qin Yi's voice softened.

Nan Qianyue pursed her lips, picked up the dark brown pill with two fingers, and slowly put it into her mouth.

It smells so fishy.

She frowned uncomfortably, picked up the herbal soup on the table, and swallowed it along with the pills.

After she finished eating, Qin Yi picked her up and carried her into the inner room.

As she approached the bed, Nan Qianyue realized that the pillow on the bedside table was the Immortal's Pillow from the Xingtian Auction House, something she hadn't noticed before.

Qin Yi placed her on the bed, covered her with a blanket, and then sat on the edge of the bed with his back to her. "Sleep. Someone from the Prime Minister's residence is impersonating you. I will send you back before they find out."

"You're not going to stay by my side forever, are you?" Nan Qianyue shrank deeper into the blankets.

Qin Yi closed his eyes. "Of course."

The first person she sees after regaining her memory must be him.

He wanted to question him carefully about why he had abandoned him...

That bowl of medicine was a calming soup specially made by Bai Shu. Nan Qianyue fell into a deep sleep after lying down for only half a moment.

—The dream began.

Nanqianyue is currently filming a scene of falling off a cliff.

In the drama, she is the beloved junior sister of the Snow Mountain Sect. Her second senior sister is jealous of her and lures her to the Cliff of Extinction, where she strikes her in the heart and plunges her into the abyss.

Tragically, the wire snapped, the stunt turned into reality, and she really fell off the cliff…

When I opened my eyes again, I was not in the gates of hell, but in a place of green hills and clear waters, with a small river flowing between the straight, arrow-like peaks.

She was lying by the river.

"Am I not dead?" Nan Qianyue propped herself up and looked around.
