Chapter 65 Mountain Rocks Blocking the Road

"Young lady, the carriage can only pass if we move the stones," the steward suggested.

"Wait a minute."

The moon, moving south, had a solemn expression as it intently observed its surroundings.

She felt something was off. The place where the rocks rolled down wasn't steep. If it hadn't been rained down for several days, making the soil soft, how could so many large rocks have fallen down for no reason?

It hasn't rained for almost ten days, and it's springtime, so even if it does rain, it's very light.

"Why do those stones keep falling? They just happen to be piled up together," the butler couldn't help but complain under his breath.

Nan Qianyue's eyes narrowed. The steward was right; even if these stones had fallen, they couldn't have been piled up like this.

Was this done intentionally? Who? And why?

"Qianyue, how is the situation?" came the voice of the Prime Minister's wife from inside the carriage.

Nanqianyue frowned. "Mother, you and your younger siblings shouldn't come out for now. There's too much mud outside."

"Young lady, let the guards move the stones," the steward said respectfully.

"Young lady, have you discovered something?" Lin Fei rode up to Nan Qianyue's side.

Nan Qianyue looked at Lin Fei and said, "Go ahead and check if there's anything unusual. Be careful."

Lin Fei clasped his hands and said, "Yes!"

Lin Fei rode his horse forward, while Nan Qianyue kept a close eye on him.

After a while, Lin Fei returned.

“Young lady, there are signs that the rocks have moved,” Lin Fei said.

The housekeeper guessed, "Perhaps other passersby tried to move the stone but failed."

Nan Qianyue then looked at Lin Fei, "Have you sensed any unusual aura around us?"

Lin Fei looked around and shook his head. "Not for now."

Nanqianyue nodded, "Then let's send half of the guards to move the stones."

"yes!"

The stones blocking the road were large and numerous. Half of the guards, which numbered only five, would need some time to move them.

"Big sister!" Nan Yichu popped out.

Nan Qianyue frowned. "Didn't I tell you to stay in the carriage? What are you doing out here? Go back inside."

Nan Yichu pouted, "It's just rocks blocking the road, big sister, you're making a big fuss over nothing."
