She was so engrossed in her thoughts that she didn't even notice Qin Yi wiping her forehead.
"Now that you're awake, eat something before you go back to sleep," Qin Yi said somewhat coldly.
Hearing the sound, Nan Qianyue came to her senses. She tried to get up by supporting herself on the bed, but as soon as she moved, a piercing pain shot through her shoulder blade.
Qin Yi frowned, his heart skipped a beat, and he quickly and gently lifted the person up, not forgetting to scold in a low voice, "Don't move around, call me if anything happens."
Nan Qianyue took a couple of breaths, looked up at him, and asked, "How is my sister?"
Qin Yi: "..."
"Huh?" Nan Qianyue frowned.
Qin Yi moved his lips and said in a muffled voice, "He's fine now."
"That's good." Nan Qianyue lowered her head slightly, her eyes filled with complicated thoughts. The assassin was after her, and in the end, she was the one who dragged everyone down with her.
"Can I ask you a question?" Nan Qianyue looked at Qin Yi again.

Under the flickering candlelight, her black hair was loose and flowing, making her look so soft and charming. Her Zen robe was a little loose, and when she lowered her eyes, one could see the white skin under the collar.
Qin Yi felt a burning sensation in his abdomen. His gaze flickered, and he spoke softly, "...ask."
Nan Qianyue pursed her lips and said, "Is there a mastermind behind this group of assassins? The person leading them seems to know me and... hate me. I don't know if he's seeking revenge, being driven by someone else, or if it's a collaboration."
"Now you know to take it seriously?" Qin Yi lowered his eyes slightly.
Nan Qianyue blinked and looked away. She hadn't really paid attention before. The assassins outside the dilapidated temple in Fengdu City weren't just after Qin Yi. The bandits in the outskirts of the capital were all targeting her, but she had never cared about any of that.
She was preoccupied with how to travel back in time, but now it seemed she was already caught up in the situation, and as long as she was here, she couldn't remain calm.
