Chapter 73 Miss Nan is my royal aunt

The moon, which had migrated south, stopped moving; the tree remained in the same place.

The servants who came to deliver the message looked at each other in bewilderment. The young lady was so unlucky; so many important people had come to invite her. How could she choose without offending anyone?

"Young lady, how should we reply?" the servant asked cautiously.

Nanqianyue looked at the sky; it was still early, so he could only ask Xiao Chen to wait.

"Just say that my wound is in a lot of pain and I can't go out."

After saying that, she turned and went back into the courtyard.

The servants had no choice but to run to the gate of the mansion under pressure and convey the original message to the three important figures.

The second prince's men were the first to leave, showing no sign of dissatisfaction.

The Fifth Princess's maid remained arrogant. Even though her mistress had just been released from confinement, she couldn't help but coldly rebuke her, "So spoiled."

The nanny sent by the Empress Dowager was much more composed. She said a few words of concern and then left.

But in reality, apart from the Fifth Princess's maid who had truly left, both the Second Prince's and the Empress Dowager's sides had people left behind to observe secretly.

The people sent by these two sides were not easy to fool; the servant from the Prime Minister's residence who came to report clearly had a strange expression on his face.

Sure enough, a carriage arrived outside the Prime Minister's residence a quarter of an hour later, followed by a woman wearing a veiled hat and an old nanny.

The woman boarded the carriage with the help of the old nanny.

Those who were secretly watching had a dark look in their eyes. They immediately sent someone back to report, while the rest secretly followed.

The Fifth Princess's maid arrived at the agreed meeting place, Heyang Lake, in a carriage.

A painted boat was moored on the lake shore, and the Fifth Princess stood beside it with a listless expression, not boarding the boat.

"Princess!" The maid rushed over, her voice urgent, "That Princess Nanqianyue is too difficult to invite. She said she can't come because her wound is hurting!"

The maidservant looked at her with disdain, "What's with this country bumpkin acting all high and mighty? I bet she's just making excuses. She wrote a few poems and now she's all high and mighty..."

"Shut up!"

The Fifth Princess kept giving her maidservants meaningful glances, but the clueless maidservant kept chattering away. She really wanted to kick her into the lake.

"Oh, Princess, why should someone of your noble status have to put up with a vixen? Does she really think she can seduce Prince Anzheng? How could Prince Anzheng possibly like someone from the countryside—"

"You know me very well?"

The air stopped moving.

The Fifth Princess covered her forehead and took several steps back. She had told the maid to shut up, but she wouldn't listen. Now, even the princess couldn't save her.

The maid's mouth was still open. She looked up blankly and saw Prince Anzheng, dressed in a black robe, standing at the bow of the boat, looking down at her. His aura was overwhelming!

"Your Highness...Your Highness, spare my life!"

The maidservant knelt on the ground with a thud, her body trembling like a leaf.

Qin Yi glanced coldly at the kneeling maid, his lips parted slightly, and he uttered a few merciless words, "Twenty strokes of the cane, and she'll be made a servant."

In short, the maid's fate was completely changed, turning her into hell.

"Spare me, Your Highness! I know I was wrong! I'll go apologize to Miss Nan right away! Please, Your Highness, have mercy!"

The maid kept kowtowing, not daring to stop even when her head was bleeding.

The Fifth Princess opened her mouth to plead for mercy, but as soon as she saw the Imperial Uncle's dignified and unapproachable face, she immediately cowered.

Qin Yi raised his hand, and several people flew out from the shadows and dragged the maid away.

"Your Majesty... Your Majesty, why don't we give her a chance to atone for her sins and apologize to Miss Nan?" The Fifth Princess mustered her courage and squeezed out the words, her voice pitifully soft.

Qin Yi's cold gaze moved to her face, "I don't want to offend her eyes."

The Fifth Princess was horrified. Her Imperial Uncle was indeed captivated by Nan Qianyue. She would never dare to provoke Nan Qianyue again, at least not until her Imperial Uncle was disgusted with her.

"You raised such a disrespectful and unruly child; you deserve to be punished," Qin Yi said coldly.

The Fifth Princess burst into tears and knelt down straight. "Uncle, please have mercy... I came here to help you arrange a date with Aunt. I deserve credit for my hard work..."

"What did you call her?" Qin Yi suddenly asked, his tone surprisingly less cold.

The Fifth Princess was stunned for a moment, thinking to herself, "Will this trick work?"

"Royal Aunt?" she called out tentatively, blinking her eyes and staring intently at Qin Yi's expression.

Sure enough, Qin Yi's lips curled up slightly after hearing this.

The Fifth Princess discovered the life-saving medicine and called out in her sweet voice several times, "Royal Aunt! Royal Aunt! Miss Nan is my Royal Aunt! Royal Aunt, Royal Aunt, Royal Aunt!"

——

Achoo!

Nanqianyue, who was in the carriage, sneezed for no apparent reason. She glanced down at her clothes.

That's quite generous.

"Young lady, we've arrived at Xiankelou." Wang Mama's voice came from outside the carriage.

After adjusting his hat and veil, he sneaked out of the carriage.

In his letter, Xiao Chen said that Xiankelou was just a transit point to cover up the truth, and the actual meeting place was Xiansige.

Yan Bo met her at Xiankelou.

Nanqianyue led Granny Wang directly to the private room on the second floor.

"Young lady, you are so thoughtful to come and collect the gift you prepared for the young master in person." Granny Wang said with a smile the whole way.

Nan Qianyue sat on the soft stool, looked up and smiled at Wang Mama, "There are no outsiders here, Wang Mama, please sit down and have a cup of tea."

"How can this be? This old servant will stand." Granny Wang was quite restrained.

Nan Qianyue stood up, walked to Wang Mama's side, and pressed her down, "Sit down, Mama, we'll choose together later."

Granny Wang nodded and smiled, no longer declining.

After the servant poured the tea, he left the private room. Nan Qianyue picked up the teacup, took a sip, and immediately praised, "This tea smells so good! Granny, you should try some."
