"Come, move that box next to the eldest daughter," the Prime Minister's wife ordered proudly.
Who can blame her for having such an outstanding daughter?
Looking at the box that had been moved to her feet, Nan Qianyue's lips twitched for a long time but she couldn't manage a smile.
She suspected the Prime Minister's wife was trying to slack off, but she had no proof.
The weather was warm and sunny, which should have been perfect for leisure and relaxation, but instead, I had to complete a box of homework during my southward migration month. I never experienced this back in my school days.
Fortunately, she used her superb intellect and racked her brains to finish, completing the task ahead of schedule when the Prime Minister's wife had only completed two-thirds of it!
“Mother, I’ve written down all the questions. Um… um, can I go around and wander around? I’ve been looking at these ledgers too much, and the numbers are all over my head. I’m getting dizzy.” Nan Qianyue pretended to have a headache and pressed her temples.
The Prime Minister's wife couldn't help but laugh at her appearance. "Go on, go on, you must be tired today."
Nanqianyue stood up delicately, curtsied, and said, "Then my daughter is leaving."
The Prime Minister's wife chuckled and shook her head, continuing to flip through the account book.
After the Southern Migration Month ended, a gatekeeper ran over, whispered a few words in the steward's ear, and then left.
The steward pondered for a moment. Minor matters naturally didn't need to bother the madam, but this guest was of great importance, and the madam happened to be here, so he should speak to her about it.
"Madam, the gatekeeper reports that Prince Anzheng will be visiting the manor today, but the exact time is yet to be determined."
The Prime Minister's wife paused as she flipped through the account books, her brows furrowing. Why would Prince Anzheng come to such a place frequented by literati and scholars?
Could it be for the purpose of moving the moon?
She put down the ledger, looked up and instructed the steward, "Since they come, they are guests. Go and make preparations to welcome them. Also, tell the eldest young lady about this, and add, 'You know what to do.' Go."
The butler hesitated for a moment, but dared not ask any further questions. He bowed and said, "Yes."
