Chapter 89: The two men meet, the atmosphere is tense.

Xiao Chen calmly met his gaze, and the two confronted each other; the silent struggle had already begun.

Nan Qianyue could clearly sense the different auras from both sides. She clenched her fingers and spoke again, but without much force, "This is the Prime Minister's manor. If you kill someone here, aren't you just tarnishing the Prime Minister's reputation?"

Qin Yi's expression was almost completely bleak. Her repeated defense of Xiao Chen was like stabbing him in the heart again and again.

He suppressed the surging magma in his chest and said, word by word, "I will have the blood wiped clean."

Xiao Chen smiled dismissively, "That depends on whether you have the ability."

Qin Yihan raised his eyes, placed his palm on the table, and sent a surge of internal energy along the table toward Xiao Chen.

Xiao Chen's eyes turned cold, and he retaliated almost simultaneously with a palm strike.

The two internal forces clashed against each other through the table, causing the bowls and plates on the table to make a loud banging sound.

Thinking this, Nan Qianyue did just that. She picked up the trembling sword on the table, nimbly got up, and dodged to the side.

Bang--!

The table was broken into pieces.

Nanqianyue was startled and gripped her sword even tighter. Luckily, she dodged quickly; it was terrifying.

"Nan Nan, are you alright?" As soon as the table broke, Xiao Chen stepped over and checked her arm.

Nanqianyue feigned composure, tilted her head back, and said, "It's nothing. I'm also skilled in martial arts. It's all just a small matter."

Xiao Chen was slightly taken aback, then chuckled, "It's good that you're alright."

Qin Yi lowered his hand, concealing it in his sleeve, before using his inner strength to reopen the wound on his wrist, a result of being distracted during the raid on the assassins' hideout last night.

He looked at the two people standing together, struggling to suppress the urge to kill.

"If you want him to live, come with me now." Qin Yi lowered his bottom line even further.

He genuinely intended to kill.
