Seeing the military doctor's troubled expression, Nan Qianyue pulled the red-clad doctor's wrist and said, "Some injuries really can't be moved. Let's go inside."
The woman in red grabbed Nan Qianyue's arm and said, "Don't go in."
"Why?" Nan Qianyue looked equally puzzled as the military doctor.
The woman in red said helplessly, "The prince will be unhappy."
"Why?"
Why?
Nanqianyue and the military doctor both asked the same question at the same time, then looked at each other and saw a hint of embarrassment on each other's faces.
"Ahem." The military doctor lowered his eyes. "Since it is the marshal's will, then carry him out."
"Wait." Nan Qianyue stopped the military doctor from calling for help, and instead looked solemnly at the woman in red.
“I don’t know what strange temper your prince has, but in the wounded soldiers’ camp, the wounded should be the priority. He is the marshal, how can he delay the treatment of the wounded because of his own quirks?”
After saying that, Nanqianyue lifted the curtain and went inside.
The woman in red was unfazed by her disrespectful words, but the military doctor was terrified.
Everyone knows that the Marshal has a nickname of "Living Yama". Under his management, the Eastern Frontier is strictly disciplined. Anyone who dares to talk about the generals will be punished according to military regulations, let alone talk about the Marshal himself.
When she moved south, Yue walked confidently into the wounded soldiers' camp. Seeing the wounded soldiers dressed in very little clothing, she didn't feel awkward at all.
However, a stunningly beautiful woman suddenly entered the wounded soldiers' quarters, leaving the men both amazed and terrified.
"Whose leg bone is unable to be set?" Nan Qianyue asked loudly.
No one answered her, because everyone was curious about her identity, though they had guessed about 70-80% of it.
“Over there.” The woman in red who followed in frowned, and this time she took Nan Qianyue’s wrist.
Upon closer inspection, she seemed to be intentionally using herself to block the wounded soldiers' view of Nanqianyue.
The military doctor, who arrived a little later, also came over. His attitude became more respectful. "I wonder what insights the doctor has?"
During the half-month-long southward migration, she would squat down to examine the wounded soldiers' legs. There were no external injuries, just misaligned bones, which she could set. How could a military doctor have a problem?
Such an incompetent military doctor?
"What is the reason for the disconnection?" Nan Qianyue asked, raising her eyes.
The military doctor answered truthfully, "The doctor should also be able to see that this is just a common dislocation, which should be easy to put back in place, but I have tried several times and failed. I dare not use too much force for fear of damaging the bone."
"Try again." Nanqianyue gave up her spot.
The military doctor nodded, grasped the young general's leg bone with both hands, and used force to reposition it when it reached the corresponding position.
With a loud "crack," the young man, sweating profusely from the pain, endured the pain without making a sound.
The military doctor looked helpless. "Doctor, do you see? It can't be reattached at all."
"The sound seems off." Nan Qianyue frowned in thought. "It's like something's blocking it from inside."
"But there are no external injuries."
The military doctor was starting to doubt Nanqianyue's abilities.
Upon hearing this, the young soldier suddenly remembered something.
He hurriedly said, "I remember now. When I was a child, I fell on a pile of broken iron while playing, and a lot of iron fragments got stuck in the back of my knee. Because my family was poor and we couldn't afford to see a doctor, my mother used a needle to pick them out for me. There must still be some left."
The military doctor suddenly realized that if there were still iron fragments left in the back of the knee, it would make sense.
"Red clothes? Red clothes! The prince summons us. Come with me to the main tent immediately!"
A handsome major general rushed in, and was immediately startled when he saw Nan Qianyue standing next to the woman in red.
"How did you bring Miss Nan out? Does the Prince know?" he asked, clasping his hands towards Nan Qianyue.
The woman in red looked grim. "They probably already know. You go ahead, I'll take her back to her tent and then come right away."
The major general's eyes widened in terror. "You've grown quite bold, daring to make the prince wait for you?"
Nan Qianyue glanced at the major general and roughly guessed that he was Deputy General Qingyi.
She stood up, patted her arm in red, and said, "You go ahead. I'll just stay here and assist the medic. Come pick me up when you're done."
"No!" The woman in red refused quickly, pulling Nan Qianyue along as they headed outside.
Anyway, the reason why the young general's leg bone could not be set has been found, so there is no need for him to stay after the southward migration.
"Huh?" Nan Qianyue was a little confused.
Why was Hongyi so unwilling to let her stay in the wounded soldiers' camp? She wanted to sneak around and familiarize herself with the environment, but she missed a good opportunity.
The major general followed closely behind, saying, "The prince's camp is far from here, but the main tent is just ahead. Why don't we go listen to the mission first and then escort Miss Nan back?"
He kept nagging behind her, "Don't worry about the prince blaming you. As long as Miss Nan says some nice things, the prince will be happy and won't care about you."
The woman in red suddenly stopped in her tracks, and Nanqianyue, who hadn't stopped in time, bumped into her back.
She rubbed her chest in pain, thinking that the woman in red was really strong and worthy of being a woman who could go to the battlefield.
"This humble general pays his respects to Your Highness."
The red-clad woman's respectful voice was tinged with lingering fear.
The man in blue behind him immediately composed himself and hurriedly bowed to the newcomer, "Greetings, Your Highness!"
Qin Yi's appearance made the surrounding air seem to freeze; his eyes exuded an inherent authority that sent chills down people's spines.
"Do you know me that well?" Qin Yi's gaze passed over the woman in red, seemingly looking at either the woman in green or Nan Qianyue.
"This humble general admits his guilt!" The man in blue was so frightened that he immediately knelt down.
Nanqianyue hid behind the red-clad woman, clutching her waistband with both hands, feeling inexplicably nervous and afraid.
Qin Yi's calm voice rang out again, "What crime have you committed? You didn't say anything wrong. Get up."
Qingyi wiped a cold sweat from her heart. The prince really knew how to torment people. "...Yes."
That's right...
Nanqianyue felt strangely uneasy, as if Qin Yi's words were meant for her.
