Xiao Bao celebrated his birthday in the beautiful city of Licheng.
There was no party.

Fu Yanci pitched the tent.
As darkness fell, the tents were brightly lit.
The barbecue grill under the canopy was filled with delicious aromas.
When Ye Li ran back to the tent like a thief and fiddled around for a while before coming out again, Xiao Bao's smile became even brighter.
Ye Li held in her hands a roasted potato that she had dug out of the mud pit.
A dandelion, trembling as if about to fall apart, was stuck into a potato.
On the dark potato skin, crooked glow-in-the-dark words read: Happy Birthday, Mu Zhi! May you be happy every day!
Turning back, Fu Yanci pulled a Gatling gun with fireworks out of the trunk.
The air was filled with the booming sounds of fireworks exploding, and the dark night sky was illuminated by a dazzling array of colors.
Before me were Fu Yanci's gentle features and Ye Li's radiant smile.
Xiao Bao closed his eyes, made a wish, and blew away the dandelions with a whoosh.
Eating.
Drinking.
They chatted.
They talked about the kindergarten interview that Xiaobao would be attending after he went back home.
Let's talk about the competition that will start shortly after Ye Li starts school.
