Su Qingli, I let you go

Su Qingli, I let you go

Seeing her distraught look, Fu Xuechen hesitated for a moment, rubbing his knuckles and said, "If you want to sleep with Qingdai all the time, I'll go back to Yangxin Palace."

How could he look like an emperor with his lowered brows and submissive look?

Qingdai said that this was all because he loved her deeply.

Su Qingli's heart softened, and she called him, saying awkwardly, "No need, you...you come here."

Fu Xuechen said nothing, but walked straight towards her with firm steps, forcing Su Qingli to step back.

One step, two steps...

Until her back hit the hard edge of the table and there was no way to retreat.

"Why are you standing so close to me?" Su Qingli leaned against his chest and turned her head away.

"I'm sorry, I..." Fu Xuechen suddenly stepped back, holding his forehead helplessly, "I just wanted to follow your wishes, but..."

He looked tired, as if he wanted to say something but hesitated.

Su Qingli stared at him in a daze, but the man concealed his emotions, turned around and said dumbly: "I don't know how to please you anymore."

Su Qingli raised her hand and was about to touch the injured back, but Fu Xuechen had already calmed down, turned around, and unbuttoned her clothes as a routine.

Su Qingli's voice was so weak that it was almost inaudible: "Wait... wait a minute... I, I haven't showered yet..."

Fu Xuechen picked her up, came to the bathtub, and stepped back. "You take a bath first. I'll wait for you outside."

The corner of his clothes was gently pulled, and Su Qingli lowered his head, "Help me."

Fu Xuechen closed his eyes, suppressed the dark tide surging in his eyes, and sighed helplessly in his heart.

Finally, he turned around, carefully untied her belt, then picked her up sideways and stepped steadily into the warm pool water.

Su Qingli leaned on his shoulder, feeling the thrilling caress.

His jade-like, slender fingers stirred up layers of waves, full of primitive tension.

Her consciousness fell into a warm blank, and she could only feel the delicate and warm touch from her fingertips.

After hanging on him and breathing deeply, Su Qingli looked at him with unfocused eyes, only to see Fu Xuechen washing his fingers slowly and methodically.

"Fu Xuechen."

Fu Xuechen paused, and just as he was about to look at her, her lips were suddenly grabbed by him.

He endured without responding until she got bored and let him go.

Su Qingli didn't understand why he was like this, she just looked at him with a pair of eyes full of loss and stubbornness, her eyes were full of confusion, as if she was silently questioning him.

But he was reluctant to say a word, letting the silence lie between the two of them.

She pushed him away suddenly, and Fu Xuechen was caught off guard. He hit the hard edge of the bathtub backwards, and felt a sharp pain in his back.

Su Qingli's pent-up emotions erupted, and she stepped on his crotch.

His reaction was even more shocking than she had imagined, but why did he...

Fu Xuechen raised his head, his gaze falling on her like a heavy shackle, as if something in that gaze was completely shattered and could never be put back together again.

He closed his eyes and struggled to stand up, using up all his strength.

"Su Qingli, I... will let you go. You can leave the palace tomorrow."

Su Qingli didn't come back to her senses until Fu Xuechen's figure disappeared.

She swayed like a candle in the wind, but ultimately remained nailed to the spot. Her soul seemed to have been pulled out along with the departing figure, leaving only an empty shell.

A trembling, intense pain came from the deepest part of her heart. She pounded her chest in vain, trying to stop the tearing pain, but every heartbeat only made the pain worse.

Su Qingli stayed awake all night, staring blankly at the window frame as the light changed from dark to dim.

When the morning light completely soaked through the window paper, Qingdai pushed the door open and came in. She was sitting straight on the edge of the bed, her face as pale as paper, her eyes dark blue.

Qingdai was startled and exclaimed, "Miss, what's wrong with you?"

Su Qingli blinked her dry eyes blankly, and before she could say anything, a line of hot tears silently rolled down her cheeks.

"Fu Xuechen, he...he asked me to leave the palace today. He doesn't want me anymore..."

Qingdai stepped forward and hugged her trembling body, soothing her softly, "Miss, Qingdai will take good care of you from now on. Don't you have a pastry shop on the outskirts of the city? Let's focus on running it well from now on. There will always be hope for the future."

"Pastry shop..." Su Qingli murmured, "But I only rented it for a month, and it's probably abandoned now."

"Yes, Your Majesty. He has been helping you manage this." Qing Dai said truthfully, "It's to leave you a way out."

These words exploded in her ears like thunder, shaking her soul.

A bitter feeling suddenly rushed into her nose, and Su Qingli understood something. "So your entry into the palace was planned? Was it him... was it him who asked you to take me away?"

"Yes, His Majesty has entrusted you to me. From now on, Qingdai will be your only relative."

When Su Qingli heard this, a trace of extremely bitterness appeared on the corner of her mouth.

He had already arranged everything for her, even leaving her family to accompany her, except... only he himself was not included in the plan.

She should have been happy to leave, but why...what filled her chest was not relief, but a bitterness that was more intense than ever before.

Qing Dai stood up and gently but firmly interrupted her dazed expression: "Miss, let me help you pack your clothes. If it gets late, it will be difficult to travel."

Su Qingli picked up an old piece of clothing and was lost in thought. "Did he tell you anything else?"

"His Majesty told me to take extra care of your health and said he won't bother you again." Qingdai said softly, secretly glancing at Su Qingli's face. "I'm afraid you won't see each other again after you leave the palace this time."

A sharp pain exploded from her heart. Su Qingli stuffed a piece of clothing into the box with force, and her knuckles turned white.

Seeing that she looked unhappy, Qingdai comforted her, "After we leave the palace, let's go to the old shop at the entrance of West Street to buy your favorite cakes, okay?"

Su Qingli's long eyelashes trembled, and she tried her best to suppress the tears that were welling up in her eyes.

"Okay, let's go buy...buy a lot."

After packing up the clothes, the palace maid brought lunch, which were all the dishes that Su Qingli liked in the past.

Her gaze would occasionally fall outside the palace, and every time she looked, a barely perceptible light would light up in her eyes, which would then quickly dim due to disappointment.

Qing Dai carefully placed a few of her favorite side dishes in front of her and said softly, "Miss, please eat more. The journey is long and you will need some strength."

Listening to Qingdai's gentle words, watching her carefully serving the dishes for him, and thinking that this might be the last palace meal in his life...

Su Qingli quickly lowered her head, and silently scooped the food into her mouth with the salty taste of tears.

After the meal, Qingdai stood up with her packed bag and walked over to support Su Qingli, "Miss, let's go."

Su Qingli nodded. She couldn't help but look back again, her eyes sweeping deeply over every object in the hall, as if she wanted to engrave all of this into her bones and carry it with her for the rest of her life.
