Chapter 23: Alien Race (2) No one can destroy him and the Hero's...

Yitulan looked at Wei'an's shocked face, a heavy and cold feeling surging in the depths of his light blue eyes. He tightened his grip on Wei'an's hand slightly and tried to form his words.

"The alien races, you know, are those monsters completely devoured by ∞ matter, leaving only the instinct for destruction. They are the public enemies of all order and civilization." Yitulan's voice was steady but metallic. "But the 'remnant race'... is another matter."

Ituran paused for a moment before continuing, "The Remnants are descendants of other intelligent races who, like the Zerg, struggled to survive the catastrophe that swept across the universe. But they... were far less 'lucky' than us."

"The ∞ substance has also contaminated their spiritual seas and their genes. They too suffer from a torment similar to the mental turmoil of female insects. Because their group lacks the antidote available to male insects, their situation is even more desperate than ours."

"Many remnant civilizations have degenerated and are struggling to survive in the fringe star regions, unable to obtain even the most basic inhibitors stably."

After saying this, Yitulan sighed softly.

Wei An held his breath. He already understood what Yitulan meant.

For them, a male insect that can effectively heal mental trauma and even prevent insect transformation...

Yitulan looked towards the darkness beyond the distant mountains and felt a chill running down his spine. His lord had unknowingly become the center of the storm.

"How would they know? I just..." Wei An's voice was a little dry.

"Hero Lord,"

"The Northern Territory Military Region isn't airtight. I'm truly grateful and respectful of everything you've done here, but the spread of news is inevitable."

The Lord's actions in the Northern Territory couldn't be concealed, but the timing of this wave of exotic beasts was strange. Thinking of the female soldier he'd captured yesterday, Yitulan's fingertips trembled with fear. The Northern Territory was strictly regulated. How had the remnant tribe gotten in? Who within the clan had harbored disloyalty? He had to personally take action to prevent future trouble.

Yitulan looked at Wei'an's pale face, his eyes more determined, but his voice soft, "My Lord, I'm not telling you this to add more worries to your heart. The Northern Territory is our territory. If I want to attack you, I'll have to be dead."

Yitulan looked at Wei'an with tenderness and comfort in his eyes, but there was a sense of tyranny in his heart. Anyone who dared to hurt or covet the lord should not be alive.

Alien races, remnant races, dare to collude with each other? Regardless of whether they really noticed the Hero or had other intentions, they deserved death. Anything that wanted to harm the Hero should not appear in front of the Hero and dirty his eyes.

No one can destroy his and the Lord's current life.

His nerves were like strings stretched to the point of breaking, and he was enveloped in strong emotions. However, Vian was still by his side. Yitulan put his hand, which could not stop trembling, behind his back, with a gentle expression.

Vian was still a little weak, and Yitulan was reluctant to leave him alone, so he prepared dinner for him, fed him himself, and then took care of him until he lay down.

Faced with Yitulan's meticulous behavior as a young wife, Wei'an hesitated for only a second and then happily accepted it. His wife really loved him too much.

Yitulan guarded Wei'an for a long time. Seeing that the person on the bed was already asleep, he carefully tucked the corner of the quilt for him before turning off the light and leaving.

Today is destined to be a long night in the Northern Territory.

The moment Yitulan carefully closed the door, all the hostility and coldness he had deliberately suppressed burst out without restraint. Standing outside his residence, the light from the street cast a shadow on his hard-lined profile. His silvery eyelashes drooped, his eyes unclear, a sinister look.

He needs to be absolutely calm to plan every next step.

That female soldier who sneaked in,

Anyone who participated, knew about it, or even failed to do his duty must pay the price.

When he raised his eyes, Yitulan's eyes were filled with cold and dead silence without any emotion.

Outside the isolated interrogation room, Ryan was already waiting, his expression grim. Upon seeing Ituran, he immediately stepped forward and whispered, "Admiral, the criminal's original name is Carl Linton. She has a clean enlistment record and was transferred to the Northern Territory's Fourth Army three years ago. Her performance has been average, with no apparent abnormalities. However, preliminary biometric scans and residual mental energy testing revealed extremely weak non-Zerg energy activity within her, as well as residual traces of a new type of mental shielding device. These are extremely subtle, and routine military testing would be nearly impossible to detect without specialized inspection."

Yitulan's gaze fell through the one-way glass onto the female soldier who was shackled and firmly bound to a chair. He still maintained his pale and frail appearance, even his eyes held just the right amount of confusion and fear. His acting was perfect.

Too lazy to say anything more, he pushed open the door to the interrogation room and walked in. A heavy pressure instantly filled the small space. Yitulan didn't sit down, but simply looked down from above, the pressure of the S-rank female insect slowly pressing down like a substance.

"Who sent you?" Yitulan's voice was calm, but with a biting chill.

"Admiral! I don't understand! What did I do? I'm just an ordinary soldier!" Carl struggled, his shackles rattling, his expression aggrieved and panicked.

"You disturbed my lord." Yitulan's voice was still calm, and even when he said the word "lord", it sounded a bit tender, but the coldness in his eyes was enough to freeze the soul.

"I'm giving you one last chance. Tell me about your accomplices and how you can contact them. Otherwise, you don't have to speak anymore."

Carl's pupils suddenly constricted as Yitulan's leather-gloved hand gripped his neck. Yitulan's attitude was too cold, not like he was going to conduct a proper interrogation. Finally, a crack appeared in Carl's disguise, and fear filled his eyes uncontrollably.

"I... I don't know... They just gave me money... and asked me to keep an eye on that gentleman's movements... Especially when he uses his mental power..." He began to explain incoherently, "The contact... is through a one-time encrypted channel... The location is different every time... I really don't know who they are..." Carl's voice began to tremble and distort with fear.

......

As Yitulan walked out of the interrogation room, the cold air couldn't dispel the lingering smell of blood. There were still many targets that needed to be "cleaned up," and tonight, no one could be spared.

When Wei An woke up, Yi Tulan was guarding him by his bed.

The morning light shines through the gaps in the curtains, casting a soft glow on the cold and hard profile of Yitulan's face.

"Awake?" Yitulan immediately noticed Wei'an's movements. When his light blue eyes turned, those emotions were hidden and instantly replaced by gentle concern. He leaned down and gently brushed Wei'an's hair with his fingertips. His voice was full of concern.

"Did you sleep well? Are you feeling unwell?"

"I'm fine." Wei'an's voice still carried the laziness of someone who had just woken up, but his eyes were clear.

"You've been guarding here all this time? Why don't you take a break?"

"No, I'm not tired." Yitulan wrapped Wei'an's hand in his palm. "My Lord, are you hungry? Breakfast is ready."

Wei An was distracted by his lead and sat up.

"Okay, I'll go clean up and be right out."

The breakfast table was peaceful and sunny, and Yitulan had baked a small cake for Wei'an, its sweet aroma filling the room.
