There were more and more people around, but not everyone was as polite as the four girls Wen Ran met at the beginning.
Some were too far away from Wen Ran, and were anxious to take a photo, so they squeezed in regardless of everything.
For a moment, the sounds of cursing, shouting of pain, and screaming... were like thunder.
The normal order of the mall was completely disrupted.
The news spread quickly, and gradually, more and more passers-by poured into the mall, and even the security guards at the door couldn't stop them.
Wen Ran was stuck in the middle, unable to leave, and even moving was difficult.
"Sister, what should we do? We can't get out." Jiang Yiyi stood next to Wen Ran. Because of the crowded crowd, she felt chest tightness and lack of oxygen.
Wen Ran stood on tiptoe and looked around. There were crowds of people everywhere. It was almost like he had arrived at the train station during the Spring Festival travel rush.
Wen Ran was wondering whether to call the police or his company.
At this moment, I suddenly felt the phone in my pocket vibrating.
Wen Ran quickly reached for his cell phone, subconsciously hoping that it was Shang Jingchi calling.
I picked it up and saw that it was true.
Because it was too noisy around, Wen Ran could only feel the vibration of the phone but could not hear the ringing.
Wen Ran pressed the answer button as quickly as possible.
Shang Jingchi on the opposite side heard the chaotic sounds coming from the phone and frowned involuntarily.
A calm voice asked: "Where are you?"
Wen Ran had to turn on the speaker to hear Shang Jingchi's voice. She bent down and blocked her other ear with her fingers.
"Jingchi, I'm blocked by fans in the mall and can't go back now." Wen Ran answered loudly.
Shang Jingchi could feel how chaotic the situation was here just by listening to the sounds.
He picked up the car keys and strode towards the villa's parking lot.
He continued to ask, "Which mall are you in?"
"In the Global Shopping Center." Wen Ran emphasized, "I'm on the second floor now!"
"Wait!"
Shang Jingchi said two words and hung up the phone.
Wen Ran looked at the screen of his mobile phone, and felt a sense of security in his heart because of Shang Jingchi's two short words.
There was a smile on the corner of his mouth that he didn't even notice.
About half an hour later, the police's voice came from the mall radio overhead, shouting at everyone to leave the mall in an orderly manner and not to linger.
Many police officers also rushed into the mall entrance.
When the police showed up, everyone naturally didn't dare to stay any longer. They took a few photos as souvenirs and left one by one along the evacuation route indicated by the police.
The huge shopping mall quickly became empty.
Wen Ran saw Shang Jingchi, wearing a black suit, among a group of police officers.
He turned to Jiang Yiyi and said, "Yiyi, come with me. Jingchi and I will take you home."
Jiang Yiyi shook her head like a rattle, "No, no, Mr. Shang came specially to pick you up, not me."
Jiang Yiyi didn't want to be a third wheel, so she hugged her handbag in her arms and quickly ran away from the scene with the last crowd.
"This child." Wen Ran smiled helplessly.
She took a step and walked towards where Shang Jingchi was.
Today she was wearing high heels, which were ten centimeters high. After standing in the mall for so long, even her foot bones were aching.
He walked very slowly, even limping.
Shang Jingchi was originally standing there with his arms folded, waiting for Wen Ran to come over with interest.
When he saw that Wen Ran's walking posture was not right, he almost instantly lowered his arms, took two steps at a time and walked towards Wen Ran.
He walked up to Wen Ran and looked down at his legs with a frown, "What's going on?"
"My feet hurt." Wen Ran answered honestly.
As soon as he finished speaking, Wen Ran felt his feet lighten and was picked up by Shang Jingchi.
Wen Ran took the opportunity to put her arms around Shang Jingchi's neck, holding a handbag containing perfume in her hand.
"Don't wear high heels when you go out in the future." Shang Jingchi hugged Wen Ran and walked towards the door.
Seeing several policemen standing there, Wen Ran buried his head in Shang Jingchi's chest in embarrassment.
The leading police officer was Chief Li Xinshu. He glanced at Wen Ran, then raised his gaze to Shang Jingchi and asked, "Is anyone injured?"
Shang Jingchi looked at the person pretending to sleep in his arms, suppressed a smile and said: "No, I'm just sleepy."
Li Xinshu said "Oh".
He added, "Ms. Wen is a public figure now, and very popular. You must be fully prepared when you go out in the future. At least you can't go out alone."
Shang Jingchi didn't reply, so Wen Ran could only reply without moving, "I understand. Thank you, police officer."
Li Xinshu didn't say anything else.
Shang Jingchi exchanged a few words with him and went to the parking lot. He put Wen Ran in the passenger seat and fastened her seat belt.
Seeing what Wen Ran was holding, he casually asked, "What are you holding?"
"I bought you perfume."
Shang Jingchi froze, and suddenly looked up at Wen Ran, asking uncertainly: "Did you buy it for me?"
Wen Ran simply handed the handbag directly to Shang Jingchi, "I think this suits you very well. I wonder if you like it."
Shang Jingchi fastened his seat belt, took the handbag, opened the bag and looked inside, and a smile appeared on the corner of his mouth.
The perfume was beautifully packaged in several layers, and Shang Jingchi was not in a hurry to unpack it.
He coughed to cover up his awkwardness, closed the door on Wen Ran's side, went to the other door, opened it, and sat in the driving seat.
He put the handbag into the groove under the car door and started the car.
Wen Ran lowered her head and fiddled with her fingers. She waited for a long time but Shang Jingchi didn't comment on the gift she had given him.
