A smile unconsciously crept onto Xie Ming's face, though he himself was completely unaware of it.
"Okay, I'll keep my promise after I eat."
Lin Yu replied, "Okay, see what you want to eat, and we'll go tomorrow."
"Then I won't stand on ceremony."
Xie Ming was still very upset when he remembered being stood up on their formal blind date. He held a grudge and was now finally able to get revenge. He was quite pleased with himself, but he didn't expect that he would still be tricked by Lin Yu.
The night before, he told Lin Yu which restaurant he wanted to eat at. The next day, when it was time to eat, Lin Yu simply sent him the restaurant's location without saying anything.
Xie Ming still held a grudge against her for standing him up before. He hadn't originally planned to go, but this was also a way of getting revenge. However, for some reason, he started to feel uneasy even before it was time to eat. He opened their chat window, but Lin Yu hadn't sent him a single new message.
After hesitating for a while, he suddenly thought that it was pointless for a grown man like him to argue with her about this, so he drove to the restaurant anyway, arriving just in time for their agreed-upon dinner time.
"It's alright, I'm not too late." He glanced at the time, subconsciously straightened his clothes, and then went inside.
As soon as you enter, a smiling waiter greets you: "Hello, how many are in your party? Do you have a reservation?"
Xie Ming looked around as he said, "I'm looking for Lin Yu."
The waiter immediately said, "Are you Mr. Xie? Miss Lin has already given her instructions. This way, please."
Xie Ming nodded and followed behind her, but for some reason, the further they went, the more nervous he felt.
Actually, he had met Lin Yu before their blind date. Their families knew each other and occasionally interacted, but the two of them didn't communicate much. Moreover, they hadn't seen each other for a long time, and since they were on a blind date, it was normal for him to be a little nervous.
"Mr. Xie, please come in!"

The large private room was empty except for a table full of steaming dishes that looked freshly made and served. They even started ordering before he could wait, which made Xie Ming frown.
The waiter raised an eyebrow in surprise and asked, "Miss Lin? She didn't come. She said she made a reservation for you and she's already paid."
Xie Ming reacted almost immediately, his face darkened instantly, and he turned and walked out, calling Lin Yu on his phone as he did so, ignoring the waiter's calls from behind.
Lin Yu was eating in the hospital cafeteria when she saw Xie Ming's call and laughed. The next second, she answered the phone.
"Hello, Mr. Xie."
Xie Ming's voice carried a hint of anger: "I don't know what Dr. Lin means by this?"
Lin Yu said slowly, "Didn't I ask you to have a meal? I was very sincere. I let you choose the restaurant and ordered the most expensive dishes. Was it not good? I'll change it for you."
Xie Ming laughed in exasperation: "Fine! You're really something!"
After hanging up the phone, Lin Yu belatedly felt a little guilty and slowly realized that what she had done seemed a bit excessive. However, she was too embarrassed to apologize to Xie Ming right now, so she hesitated for a while and did not take any action.
Meanwhile, Xie Ming was so angry that he didn't eat. After a while, he wondered if Lin Yu would think he was petty. But he also felt that Lin Yu was going too far. It was one thing to stand him up once, but she kept going on and on.
Ye Zhao knew nothing about the two of them. Jiang Che had a meal with her and several experts and doctors today. After the meal, he saw them off and the two of them went to the hospital.
Ye Feng is in good condition after the surgery. If he recovers well, he should wake up in the next few days. Ye Zhao finally breathed a sigh of relief. In any case, it's good that he's alright.
After seeing Ye Feng's condition, Jiang Che said to Ye Zhao, "Are you relieved now? Let me take you back to your hotel to rest for a while. I have some things to take care of and need to go back to the company."

The hospital wasn't far from the hotel, only a ten-minute walk away. Ye Zhao didn't plan to take a taxi; she strolled back slowly, making a phone call to Yuanbao along the way.
Yuanbao has never been away from Ye Zhao for so many days since he was born. Recently, he has been calling Ye Zhao with a pitiful expression, afraid that she will not come back.
Ye Zhao also missed him very much and would call him whenever she had free time.
"Mom, when are you coming back? Yuanbao misses you so much!"
Ye Zhao smiled gently: "Mom misses Yuanbao too, but Grandpa is having surgery in the hospital, so Mom has to stay with him."
Little Yuanbao pouted, looking aggrieved: "Then why didn't Mom take me with her?"
Ye Zhao smiled and explained gently, "Because it's inconvenient, baby. Mommy has to take care of Grandpa and is afraid I won't be able to take care of you."

This morning, Wang Shuo was forced by his family to take that woman to her prenatal checkup. It wasn't even certain whether the child was his. Wang Shuo was very unwilling and was quite impatient all morning. He only felt a little better after the checkup was completed and he took her home.
He was sitting in the car, about to invite He Jie and the others out for a drink that evening, when his gaze suddenly stopped as he looked out the window. His eyes widened in surprise, and he quickly took out his phone while telling the driver to stop immediately.
The driver couldn't stop the car in time and drove a bit too far. By the time Wang Shuo got out of the car, Ye Zhao was no longer there.
He exclaimed in surprise, "Wow, that's Ye Zhao!"
He looked around again, still not seeing the figure from before, before finally giving up and getting into the car.
Ye Zhao suddenly wanted some fruit, so she turned into a fruit shop on the street. By the time she came out, Wang Shuo's car had already driven quite a distance. She had no idea that she had narrowly escaped a disaster.
Jiang Che may seem to have a light workload, but he actually makes time to spend with Ye Zhao. He gets incredibly busy as soon as he gets back to the company, with all sorts of meetings and countless documents waiting for him. He's completely immersed in his work as soon as he gets back, though he occasionally chats with Ye Zhao for a bit.
There were too many things piling up, and he started working as soon as he got back. It wasn't until the afternoon of the next day that he was finally able to finish and leave the Jiang family.
