In late autumn in City A, the temperature plummeted. Just a few days ago it was so hot that people were still wearing short sleeves, but a few days later it was so cold that people could wear cotton-padded coats.
After a busy period, Chen Du has had some free time and finally remembered the project with Jiang's family.
He took out his phone and called Jiang Che.
Jiang Che had just finished a meeting when he received the call.
"Hello? Adu?" Jiang Che was somewhat surprised that he hadn't received a call from Chen Du for a long time.
A deep, resonant voice came from the other end of the phone: "When are you coming back? There's a project the company wants to discuss with you."
Jiang Che pondered for a few seconds and said, "Soon, in the next couple of days. I'll contact you when I get back."
"Okay, you've been abroad recently?" Shen Du hadn't seen Jiang Che for a long time, so he asked a rare question.
Jiang Che paused for two seconds before answering, "No, I'm in Shangyang, working on this tourism project."
Upon hearing this, Shen Du fell silent for a moment before asking, "Does the Shangyang project still require your personal supervision?"
Jiang Che, without batting an eye, slowly said, "Yes, this area has great development potential. I'll feel more at ease if I keep an eye on it myself."
Chen Du remembered that he had sent someone to Shangyang to investigate before, but when he went on a business trip, the project was kicked out by the group's senior management in a meeting. How did it become so valuable to Jiang Che?
He was just wondering if his subordinates were not careful enough, and didn't think much of it. He simply said, "Okay, then contact me when you get back."
"good."
Jiang Che had just hung up the phone when he heard Mu Xu call out, "Miss Ye."
He turned around and found Ye Zhao standing not far away.
Jiang Che looked at her ankle and asked, "No need for bandaging anymore? How's the recovery going?"
Mu Xu, being quite sensible, waved goodbye to Ye Zhao and left with a stack of documents.
Ye Zhao smiled and stretched her ankle, replying, "It's almost recovered. I just need a few more days of rest."
After saying that, she looked at the Jiang Group employees who had just left and asked, "Just finished a meeting? Are you busy today?"
Jiang Che nodded and said, "Not busy. What brings you here today? Is something the matter?"
After Ye Zhao injured her foot, she rarely came to Maple Forest.
Ye Zhao smiled and said, "Are you leaving in the next couple of days?"
Jiang Che was somewhat surprised, as he had always thought Ye Zhao hadn't paid any attention to this matter. He nodded and said, "More or less. There are still some tasks to finish up in the next two days."
Ye Zhao's smile widened: "Then I've come at just the right time. If you're not busy, let's have dinner together tonight?"
Jiang Che joked, "What's the occasion? Boss Ye is treating us to dinner."
Ye Zhao joked, "Of course it's a farewell dinner for President Jiang! Who else would give us that kind of face?"
Jiang Che smiled, his eyes curving slightly. His deep eyes were like a clear pool of water, looking bright and clear.
"It is my honor to have Mr. Ye spend money on me."
"It's settled then. You go ahead and get busy. See you at Green Field later."
"good."
Ye Zhao wore a white dress today, her long hair flowing over her shoulders. As she walked, the wind blew her dress and hair in an extremely graceful arc. Against the backdrop of the fiery red maple forest, her white, flowing figure was as beautiful as a painting.
Jiang Che stood there for a long time, watching until the figure disappeared before turning and leaving.
...
Ye Zhao had just picked up her bandages that morning, but she was already thinking about inviting Jiang Che to dinner.
Jiang Che has helped her a lot during his time in Shangyang. Now that he is about to go back, she doesn't know when they will meet again, so Ye Zhao wants to treat him to a meal.
Since Jiang Ze returned from Jiashui, he often seemed absent-minded. Ye Zhao asked him about it once, but seeing that he didn't want to talk about it, she didn't ask any more questions. However, she would try to find some interesting things to distract him, but nothing worked as well as Yuanbao.
Ye Zhao returned from her trip to Maple Forest to find Yuanbao playing with Jiang Ze's newly bought dog.
Jiang Ze went out yesterday and brought back a Border Collie, which Yuanbao loves. He spends all day circling around it.
"You jerk, let me touch you, just once..."
Yuanbao's voice came from the side. Ye Zhao stopped and looked over, asking with a questioning look, "What did you call him?"
Yuanbao looked up at her and replied in a childish voice, "You're a scumbag, Uncle Aze."
Ye Zhao's expression was somewhat indescribable. So she hadn't misheard. Why did he choose such a name? Was he afraid people wouldn't know he'd been dumped?
She knelt down and patted Yuanbao's head, saying softly, "Baby, be good. Let's not call him that for now. We'll change his name later."
Yuanbao looked at her with some confusion: "Why, Mom? Uncle Aze said this name is quite good."
Ye Zhao patted his head again and said, "Good boy, listen to your mother. Your Uncle Aze is illiterate, so his name is not good."
"Nonsense! I'm a top student who studied abroad, how can you ruin my reputation like this?" Jiang Ze, wearing slippers, lazily came down the stairs.
Ye Zhao looked at him with disdain: "Listen to the name you chose. What? Are you afraid people won't know you were dumped by a man? Is that all you've got?"
Jiang Ze swaggered over: "What do you know? I'm just making sure I remember this lesson, so I'll never fall for a scumbag's tricks again!"
Yang Juan came out of the house and overheard this. She scoffed and said, "You're really something, to suffer a loss just by negotiating one thing like this."
Jiang Ze glared at her and retorted, "At least I've dated before. Have you ever dated?"
He saw Yang Juan glaring at him angrily and even letting out a defiant sneer.
Yang Juan shouted at him, "What do you know? I'd rather have nothing than something bad!"
Although Yuanbao didn't understand, he exchanged a glance with Ye Zhao, covered his mouth and chuckled secretly, then whispered to Ye Zhao, "Mom, I don't think Uncle Aze is very smart."
Seeing that Jiang Ze and Yang Juan were arguing more and more fiercely, Ye Zhao quickly covered Yuan Bao's mouth, which was adding fuel to the fire, and whispered to him, "Yes, so we have to give in to him a little."
After arguing for a long time, the dog's name was still not changed.
Ye Zhao looked at the Border Collie and sighed slowly. So what if he's a scumbag? As long as he likes it, she won't call him that anyway.
Ye Zhao was very sincere and wanted to invite Jiang Che to dinner, so she didn't bring anyone except Yuanbao that night, and went to Jiashui with the two brothers.
They had tried almost every restaurant in Shangyang, and Ye Zhao really didn't know what to eat next.
As Jiang Che got on the bus, he saw Xiao Lin carrying Yuanbao out, and for some reason, he suddenly asked, "Where's that friend of yours from the other day?"
Ye Zhao didn't react immediately: "Which friend?"
As she finished speaking, she turned her head and met Jiang Che's gaze. For some reason, she suddenly remembered: "You mean Ji Xiao? He's gone."
Jiang Ze had just fastened his seatbelt when he looked up at the two of them, looking completely bewildered, and asked, "Who is Ji Xiao?"
