(204) Hong Baobao cooked herself

After Jing Pei followed, he quickly realized that something was wrong.

After realizing something was wrong, Jing Pei originally wanted to go back, but unexpectedly, she found herself in a maze-like situation.

Finally, for some unknown reason, Jing Pei suddenly felt everything go black before her eyes, and she fainted, knowing nothing more.

When Jing Pei woke up again, all he saw was Hong Baobao.

Hong Baobao was driving when she asked Jing Pei a couple of questions. Once she confirmed that Jing Pei was alright, she was completely relieved.

Jing Pei noticed that Hong Baobao was driving in a direction that wasn't the way they were going home, so he asked her, "Baobao, this isn't the way we're going home. Where are we going?"

Because she needed to focus on driving, Hong Baobao didn't turn around and said, "I'll take you to the hospital for a check-up."

Upon hearing that Hong Baobao wanted to take him to the hospital for a check-up, Jing Pei frowned and said, "Baobao, I'm really fine. I don't need to go to the hospital. I want to go home now."

Jing Pei genuinely felt that there was nothing wrong with her body.

Therefore, he felt that he had absolutely no need to go to the hospital.

He knows his own body better than anyone else.

"Are you sure there's really nothing wrong with your body?" Hong Baobao asked, still worried.

Jing Pei said with certainty, "Yes, I'm sure, there's really nothing wrong with my body."

Jing Pei is certain of this.

Since Jing Pei had said so, Hong Baobao had no choice but to respect his wishes and take him back with her.

“Okay.” After Hong Baobao finished speaking, she turned at the next intersection and, when she could turn around, she chose the road that would take her home.

On the way back, Jing Pei kept talking, telling Hong Baobao about the woman he met that day who looked exactly like Hong Baobao.

Upon arriving at Jingpei's house, Hong Baobao parked the car in the underground garage and then helped Jingpei into the house.

Jing Pei's door has a fingerprint lock. After opening the door, Jing Pei suddenly said to Hong Baobao, "Baobao, please enter your fingerprint."

After hearing this, Hong Baobao paused for a moment and said, "I guess I won't need it."

In Hong Baobao's opinion, as long as Jing Pei is not at home, she probably won't come into Jing Pei's house.

Therefore, she genuinely felt that there was no need to input fingerprints for the time being.

Jingpei, however, thought differently. He felt it would be better to input Hong Baobao's fingerprints instead.

That way, the baby can come in anytime in the future.

After Jing Pei's repeated insistence, Hong Baobao finally agreed to let Jing Pei register her fingerprints.

Jing Pei was in a good mood. He thought to himself that in the future, there would be more and more things related to the baby in this family.

Eventually, the baby will move in too.

As Jing Pei pondered, his thoughts drifted further afield.

It wasn't until Hong Baobao spoke to Jing Pei that Jing Pei's wandering thoughts were brought back.

When Jing Pei was thinking about the future, he didn't even realize that he had a silly grin on his face.

Hong Baobao was quite puzzled when she saw Jing Pei grinning foolishly. She wondered what Jing Pei was thinking that made him grin like that.

Upon hearing Hong Baobao call his name, Jing Pei finally realized what was happening. He coughed lightly as if to cover it up and said, "Well, let's go in."

After Jing Pei finished speaking, he pushed open the door and let Hong Baobao help him inside.

Hong Baobao helped Jing Pei sit on the sofa. Then, she straightened up and asked Jing Pei with some concern, "Are you really alright?"

Jing Pei nodded firmly and said, "Yes, I'm sure, I'm fine."

Jing Pei was absolutely certain of this.

Hong Baobao said "oh" and asked Jing Pei a few more questions. She then cooked a bowl of noodles for Jing Pei herself.

Hong Baobao's cooking skills are actually not very good.

All she does is help Zhang Ma whenever she has free time.

If Zhang Ma helps out with things like that, she'll pick it up from a young age and gradually learn a little bit.

The noodles Hong Baobao made weren't exactly delicious, but they certainly weren't bad either.

As Hong Baobao busied herself in the kitchen, Jing Pei watched her working tirelessly and couldn't help but think that the two of them really did look like an old married couple.

Jing Pei really liked this feeling. He thought it would be great if things could continue like this forever.

Hong Baobao was busy in the kitchen. Although she didn't turn around to look at Jing Pei, she could feel that Jing Pei's gaze was always on her.

Hong Baobao felt that Jing Pei was practically turning into a statue of a wife-waiting rock.

Honestly, I just don't understand how he could be so patient as to keep staring at her.

Hong Baobao shook her head, sighed, and then continued making noodles.

Because Hong Baobao wasn't particularly skilled, her speed was somewhat slow.

However, although Hong Baobao's speed was somewhat slow, it actually didn't take too long.

While Hong Baobao was cooking in the kitchen, Jing Pei kept a close eye on her.

It wasn't until Hong Baobao finished making the noodles, brought them out of the kitchen, and placed them on the table for Jing Pei to eat that Jing Pei finally managed to tear his gaze away from Hong Baobao.

"Peipei, let's eat first," Hong Baobao said.

Hong Baobao made two bowls of noodles in total, one large and one small.

As for the smaller one, it's naturally for myself.

Jing Pei hummed in agreement. He lowered his head, brought the bowl closer, took a sniff, and said, "Just the smell is enough to whet my appetite."

Hong Baobao was quite happy after hearing what Jing Pei said.

After all, when you cook something, you naturally want others to think it tastes good and to hear praise from them.

"You haven't eaten yet, why don't you eat first?" After saying this, Hong Baobao started eating.

Hong Baobao hasn't eaten yet, but judging from the smell, it should be about right.

After taking a bite, Hong Baobao felt that the taste wasn't too bad.

Although it wasn't particularly delicious, it was still edible.

Hong Baobao isn't a picky eater, so she ate what she thought was delicious.

As for Jing Pei, seeing that Hong Baobao had started eating, he also began to eat.

After taking a bite, Jing Pei praised it highly, saying it was delicious, which made Hong Baobao even happier.
