Chapter 10 Saving the Princess Cursed by the Wicked Witch (10)

Yan Li was stunned, staring blankly at Wen Ze in front of her. As if she had thought of something, she opened her mouth, "So..."

Wen Ze felt a surge of anticipation, thinking that although his words might frighten her, they should dispel her doubts.

However, Yan Li's mind was clearly very different from that of ordinary people. Under Wen Ze's expectant gaze, she calmly asked in return:

"So you said these same things to those princesses downstairs?"

Wen Ze was slightly stunned, clearly not expecting Yan Li to say such a thing.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, Yan Li pushed the person on top of her away and began to crawl out of the coffin.

She was incredibly glad that when she asked the butler for the chains, she specifically asked for two five-meter-long chains; otherwise, being tied to him right now would have been incredibly embarrassing for her.

"If I told you that I only said this to you, would you believe me?"

Seeing that Yan Li had already climbed out, and that the chains on her feet were starting to tug, he stood up and grabbed her hand:

"Is Ah Yan planning to just walk out like this?"

As Wen Ze spoke, he did not put down the iron chain he was holding, as if reminding Yan Li that he had forgotten something extremely important.

Yan Li was so angry she laughed. She glanced at the iron chains on Wen Ze's hands, then at the two men's feet, and said in a somewhat sarcastic tone:

"If even a lord can move objects remotely, how can there be no way to deal with a simple iron chain?"

Wen Ze, who had been subjected to Yan Li's sarcastic remarks, was not angry. Instead, he sighed with a hint of regret, "Ah Yan really thinks too highly of me."

"I've just lived a little longer than you; I don't have any extraordinary abilities. Since these chains can bind you, they can certainly bind me as well."

“If Ayan wants to unlock it, he needs a key.”

Wen Ze: He had finally gotten a chance, so how could he possibly let it go? Naturally, he wished she could be with him all the time.

However, Yan Li was not about to give Wen Ze that chance, and immediately pulled Wen Ze toward the door.

If she hadn't been locked up with him this time, she wouldn't have realized how big the room was, so big that she had to pull him along to open the door.

Wen Ze was extremely cooperative, letting Yan Li lead him around.

The door was pulled open by Yan Li, and there stood the butler, holding a golden key in both hands, with a beaming smile on her face.

"Miss Yan, you forgot to take your keys yesterday."

Yan Li: !

She genuinely forgot about the key, but did she genuinely forget to take it? Did the butler also genuinely forget to give it to her?

Without a second thought, Yan Li used what was probably the fastest speed she had ever used to snatch the key from the butler's hand.

She couldn't help but get excited. She squatted down and her hands, which were holding the keys behind her back, were trembling slightly, but she still forced herself to remain calm and unlocked the iron shackles on her feet.

"You can open your own."

Yan Li did not untie the chains on Wen Ze's feet. After standing up, she put the key into his hand and ran downstairs to her room.

Wen Ze smiled.

But only the butler saw it.

At this moment, he really wanted to shout out the words he had wanted to say for many years: "The lord has not laughed for many years, but after meeting Miss Yan, he has laughed again and again."

In reality, he didn't dare to open his mouth at all.

He was afraid the lord would think that reading those books had ruined his mind.

For a lord, a century of solitude meant a good night's sleep to dispel all his sorrows, while he, a steward who maintained a strict schedule and was on call 24/7, was naturally not entitled to sleep.

So he can only watch these things to pass the time, even though they are full of loopholes and follow the same formula.

After a long while, seeing the somewhat awkward atmosphere, the butler reached out and touched his nose, and said with admiration, "I didn't expect Miss Yan to have such good stamina."

A cold glint flashed over.

The steward trembled inwardly: Had he said something wrong? Had he hurt his lord's pride?

Did the lord fail yesterday?

Seeing that Wen Ze remained silent, the butler smiled kindly and said, "Lord, a new batch of goods recently arrived at the castle. Shall I get some for you to replenish your supplies?"

As he spoke, he squatted down, preparing to remove the object from Wen Ze's feet.

This thing is really damaging to the image of our lord.

Logically speaking, this thing shouldn't be able to trap the lord, unless he intentionally cooperates with that Miss Yan.

Before the housekeeper could even make a move, the foot in front of her took a step back. "No need, go downstairs and make some food to take to her."

The housekeeper froze for a moment, but quickly recovered and agreed, then rushed downstairs to the kitchen.

Meanwhile, back in her room, Yan Li collapsed onto her bed, panting heavily.

This is not a beginner's quest at all!

"Knock knock—"

A dull knock sounded at the door, but Yan Li didn't want to open it.

"Miss Yan, I've prepared some food and left it at your door," the butler's voice rang out from outside.

Yan Li breathed a slight sigh of relief.

Since the chains were useless, she decided to let things take their course.

Eat when you're supposed to eat, drink when you're supposed to drink, and lie down when it's time to die.

...

The third midnight arrived as scheduled, but Yan Li did not stand in front of the third crystal coffin as she had the previous two times.

In the dimly lit room, the colorful fluffy balls reappeared, gathering above Yan Li, circling around, and talking in circles.

That night, an unfamiliar guest arrived at the castle after a long absence. He had golden eyes and silver hair, and his skin was as white as winter snow. He had red lips and white teeth. His eyes were like stars in the sky. His beauty made people feel ashamed and dare not look at him.
