Chapter 125 The Imprisoned Guards of the Prince's Mansion (22)

Inside the new house, a suffocating atmosphere made it hard to breathe. Yan Li quietly watched Wen Shaoxing applying medicine to her without saying a word.

The night was quiet, and the red candle burned softly.

Wen Shaoxing stared at Yan Li, who offered no explanation, and the terrifying scene from just moments ago resurfaced in her mind. Had she been even a fraction slower, the black-clad man's sword would have surely slashed her neck.

Is she usually so careless about her own life?

Yan Li cleared her throat. "Actually, it's not that serious. Don't be too nervous. I'm perfectly fine, aren't I?"

It's just a minor injury, why settle scores with her at a time like this?

Her silence only fueled Wen Shaoxing's anger. He suddenly lifted Yan Li's chin, their eyes meeting, his expression darkening slightly.

"Has Ali considered what would have happened if you hadn't dodged?"

Yan Li was slightly taken aback, and subconsciously probed, "Will I die?"

Seeing her so decisive, Wen Shaoxing chuckled in anger, gritted his teeth slightly, and ultimately couldn't hold back his anger.

He leaned down decisively, turned his head, and bit Yan Li's red lips.

The sudden kiss made Yan Li instinctively want to back away, her heart began to race, and she could feel the strong, domineering scent of Wen Shaoxing in her nostrils.

Sensing the resistance, Wen Shaoxing wouldn't let her have her way. He wrapped a large hand around the back of her neck and pressed her against him without hesitation.

He was already furious that Yan Li didn't value his life, but now a kiss was more effective than a deadly sword.

Yan Li felt as if her lips were about to be bitten raw.

Wen Shaoxing, however, seemed reluctant to leave and gently kissed and licked Yan Li's neck.

“Ah Li, you’re not alone anymore. I don’t want to spend the rest of my life holding your memorial tablet.” He leaned on Yan Li’s shoulder, his voice light yet seemingly heavy.

Memorial tablet?

Isn't it unlucky to say such things on such a joyous occasion?

Yan Li's eyes flickered slightly as the thought that had been swirling in her mind took shape. Her fingers clenched tightly into a fist as she cleared her throat: "Aji... do you... do you want to be the emperor?"

She had thought it through. Rather than waiting for the palace to send assassins to kill Wen Shaoxing from time to time, she decided to take the initiative and let Wen Shaoxing take the throne.

But as soon as Yan Li finished speaking, she noticed that the hand on the back of her neck had tightened its grip.

"Ah Li wants to be the empress?" Wen Shaoxing didn't know why Yan Li would suddenly ask him this. He secretly pressed her body down on the bed and asked softly.

He had no idea that someone who constantly dreamed of escaping would actually want to confine himself to that cage.

Realizing something was wrong, Yan Li reached out and touched Wen Shaoxing's forehead, afraid he would kiss her again, and quickly explained:

"I think if Aji were in that position, no one would try to assassinate you every few days."

Wen Shaoxing's eyes darkened slightly.

So you were worried about him?

"Does Ah Li want to go to the palace?" He looked at Yan Li, whose eyes were sparkling, paused for a moment, then took Yan Li's hand, pulled it up, and asked in a low voice.

Yan Li naturally didn't want to, nor would she say it directly. She simply responded softly, hoping that Wen Shaoxing would make a decision.

Wen Shaoxing looked at Yan Li, who didn't even dare to make a lie, chuckled, and whispered in her ear, "Ah Li, you don't think that once you enter the palace, there's any chance of escaping, do you?"

Yan Li was surprised that her thoughts had been seen through. She slightly shifted her gaze and said in a show of weakness, "Can't I just leave the palace openly and honestly?"

She's neither a thief nor an assassin, so using the word "escape" would be too hurtful to her.

Trust between people should not be this weak.

The scent wafting towards her made her earlobes turn red, and Yan Li awkwardly moved her hand that was being held captive.

"Furthermore, are you going to let that emperor continue to assassinate you?"

She didn't believe that Wen Shaoxing was such a kind person who truly held no grudges.

Seeing the indignation in Yan Li's eyes, Wen Shaoxing chuckled lightly, then sat up slightly and placed his hand on his belt.

As Yan Li watched Wen Shaoxing begin to undress, her heart raced once again. Lying on the bed with nowhere to go, her gaze was fixed on the tips of his fingers.

Watching the dark red belt wrapped around his fingers, she couldn't help but push herself back slightly, opening her mouth to ask, "What are you doing?"

"Just talk, why take off your clothes?"

As soon as she finished speaking, Wen Shaoxing grabbed her ankles, pulled her towards him, wrapped her legs around his waist, leaned his upper body slightly forward, and looked at her with a calm but long-suppressed desire in his eyes.

"Ah Li, what do you think? Tonight is our wedding night. If we keep talking, it'll be dawn soon."

He met Yan Li's gaze, pinched her chin, and kissed her again before she could respond, refusing to have any verbal communication with her.

At the same time, another hand reached towards Yan Li's waist, unbuttoning her clothes and beginning to probe inside.

...

The curtains slowly fell, and Wen Shaoxing, holding Yan Li's hand that was trying to climb out, pulled her back again. Then, kisses with a smile fell intermittently on her back.

"Ah Li, once isn't enough."

Yan Li couldn't help but look up at Wen Shaoxing, who was about to kiss her lips again, and said bluntly, "This is the second time already."

The first time was a little short, and he felt embarrassed and didn't want to admit it.

Is it really necessary to fuss over such a small thing?

Clearly, this was not a trivial matter for Wen Shaoxing; rather, it was a major one. He gripped Yan Li's waist with both hands and, with a slight movement, switched places with Yan Li.

Yan Li couldn't help but speak up, completely unprepared for him to suddenly hand over control of this affair to her.

She couldn't help but look down at him, only to see that his eyes were as black as ink, and the desire in them showed no signs of fading, but rather had deepened.

"Ah Li, are you dissatisfied with your husband?" Wen Shaoxing asked in a hoarse voice, his fingertips occasionally kneading the soft flesh beneath his hand, as if he harbored a great deal of grievance.

"But I have a limp, which is inconvenient. If Ali is not satisfied, why don't we just leave it to Ali this time?"

"I will definitely cooperate fully."

Yan Li's pupils constricted involuntarily: Is this even human language? Is she dissatisfied? She is far too satisfied, perhaps even excessively so.

Wen Shaoxing didn't give Yan Li time to hesitate. He grabbed the back of her neck again, leaned forward, kissed her lips, and pulled her hand to his body, deliberately seducing her.

Yan Li was once again captivated, and couldn't help but sigh: It really does feel like a slave turning the tables and becoming the master.

However, this feeling did not last long.

Fairies are known to drain people's energy.

Yan Li couldn't understand how someone who usually needed to regulate her breathing after standing for more than an incense stick's time could last so long today.

He swallowed back the pleas for mercy that were about to escape his lips.

Before dawn, for one person, the night has barely begun.
