After an unknown amount of time, Yan Li groggily woke up. She was about to sit up to check her situation when she heard the clanging of chains.
Without a doubt, she was imprisoned.
?
Looking at the iron chain on her foot, Yan Li fell into a brief moment of contemplation.
Wen Shaoxing is really sick.
He's not just sick, he's insane.
After a mere three seconds, she drew her conclusion.
Yan Li looked around and found that the place where she was locked up didn't even have a window, but an oil lamp hung on the wall in the distance, giving the whole room a dim light.
But the flickering flames seemed to mock her foolishness.
Yan Li stared at it for a while before her eyes gradually adjusted to the dim light. She looked around and found the room empty except for the bed beneath her.
Yan Li couldn't help but feel a headache coming on. She thought to herself that she shouldn't have told Wen Shaoxing. She could have just acted first and informed him later. As for who would become the emperor, it didn't matter, did it?
If he doesn't want to be in that position, then he doesn't have to be. It doesn't matter who sits in it instead, as long as that person doesn't intend to kill him, that's enough.
If all else fails, she can do it herself.
When a person has nothing, they should learn to lie down; if they lack nothing, that's even better, as they can lie down openly and honestly.
Unfortunately, her new husband didn't understand this principle, and even locked her up, forcing her to lie in a different way.
Thinking of this, Yan Li sighed and lay down in a more comfortable position.
Perhaps it was because this room was originally a dark room, so quiet that even the slightest footstep could be heard clearly.
A moment later, Wen Shaoxing's voice reached Yan Li's ears, "Does A Li like it?"
"Would you like it if I locked you up?" Yan Li didn't intend to play the innocent; she simply opened her eyes slightly and looked at Wen Shaoxing, who was standing beside the bed.
When do you plan to let me out?
No one was worse off than her; she was locked up right after her wedding night.
Wen Shaoxing seemed not to hear him. He sat down and reached out to turn Yan Li's face towards him, his eyes dark and deep. "Look at me, A Li."
"Isn't it better to stay here?"
"It won't take long, just three days, only three days."
"After three days, no one will be able to bother us anymore."
Yan Li didn't say anything more, but calmly looked at Wen Shaoxing in front of her: "Wen Ji, what are you going to do in the next three days?"
Wen Shaoxing didn't intend to tell Yan Li the truth. He simply leaned down and kissed her lips, then her eyebrows and eyes, and her fair skin, wanting to leave his mark on every inch of her body once again.
But not yet.
He needs to clean up the mess and deal with those upsetting things.
The kiss, which ended abruptly, stopped on her neck. Wen Shaoxing slowly raised his eyes and asked, "Ali, besides wanting to redeem yourself, do you have any other wishes?"
"A wish that, once fulfilled, will stay by my side willingly."
"I will agree to whatever Ali proposes."
What's the meaning?
Yan Li was somewhat dazed from the kiss. Just as he came to his senses, he heard Wen Shaoxing whispering something about wishes and willingness in his ear.
Wen Shaoxing, however, was not pleased with Yan Li's absent-mindedness and bit her shoulder again: "Ah Li, you'd better think this through carefully."
Let him think carefully about what wish his Ali might make.
Should he declare himself emperor, or should she be released?
Wen Shaoxing's mind was too sharp; Yan Li hadn't thought of this at all, and after staring at him blankly for a few seconds:
"Hmm, can I be a little greedy and ask for a few more wishes?"
