Chapter 10 Who Do You Think You Are?

A clap of thunder suddenly erupted from the ground.

The receptionist even suspected that there was something wrong with her ears.

The receptionist stared at Jiang Yue in disbelief. Was she alright?!

Is she really alright? Does she even realize what nonsense she's spouting?!

Maybe he really has gone mad.

In the lobby on the first floor, countless curious eyes quietly turned to look in this direction.

The receptionist took a deep breath, a cold smile creeping onto her lips. Her tone became increasingly rude: "Madam, you're already disturbing others. If you continue like this, I'll have to ask security to remove you."

Jiang Yue smiled, her eyes cold: "Then call security over, give it a try."

The receptionist was quite intimidated by her imposing manner.

He opened his mouth to call security, but she stared at him so intently that he dared not move.

On second thought, why should she be afraid of her wife?

In the past, when wasn't she always the one who got kicked out?

The abandoned woman, known to all.

The receptionist mustered her courage and was about to call security when the general manager's assistant, a man in a suit and tie, happened to pass by. He stopped and asked, "Madam?"

Jiang Yue turned around, glanced at him indifferently, and recognized him as the assistant who followed the so-called male lead. He looked respectable, but he was just an accomplice and lackey.

She nodded slightly, exuding an air of nobility.

Assistant Shen was also somewhat surprised. Jiang Yue was not very bright and was particularly good at offending people.

However, she wasn't too hostile towards the men who worked with her husband; she would always harass them with phone calls, demanding they reveal her husband's schedule.

What brings you here today?

“I’m looking for Zhou Ji.” Jiang Yue raised her hand, pointing her slender, fair finger at him, and said imperiously, “You, take me upstairs.”

Assistant Shen was taken aback. As expected of a well-traveled and knowledgeable high-achieving student, he paused for a moment before saying, "Sir is in a meeting this afternoon."

As soon as he finished speaking, Assistant Shen looked up and met the lady's dark eyes. His heart skipped a beat. Her eyes were dark and indifferent, calm but with a hint of innate arrogance.

Assistant Shen swallowed hard and had to change his words: "I'll take you upstairs."

He was also afraid that his wife would make a scene in public.

It will be the gentleman who loses face.

Jiang Yue followed Assistant Shen into the elevator. The high-rise building, dozens of stories high, was truly impressive.

Every staff member inside looked very serious and tense.

When Jiang Yue arrived, the employees on the 52nd floor all opened their eyes wide and looked towards the corridor.

They were fully aware of what happened downstairs in the group chat.

The wife is here again.

They used to come and cause trouble, but today they're trying to keep me here.

She looked much prettier, with fair, glowing skin, long, silky black hair that was easily tied up with a single jade hairpin, and a slender, long neck adorned with an exquisite and expensive necklace.

Nobility emanates from within.

Stunning at first glance.

Her face is still the same, but her overall demeanor seems to have changed.

The employees in the office were whispering among themselves:

"Your wife seems to have become more beautiful."

"Yes, yes, she's so beautiful. When she turned her head to look at us just now, I was so stunned by her beauty that I gasped."

"Did she get plastic surgery? Her aura is completely different now."

"Even though she's beautiful, I still vividly remember how she used to pull Secretary Wu's hair and call her a slut."

"Yes! I remember it too! The scene was incredible! My goodness, Secretary Wu was crying her eyes out, and the president looked particularly grim that week after returning from abroad."

The group began to discuss amongst themselves.

They even wished they had X-ray vision so they could see what was happening in the CEO's office.

Assistant Shen led Jiang Yue to the president's office, knocked on the door, and a soft voice came from inside: "Come in."

Assistant Shen slowly pushed open the door.

When Zhou Ji saw Jiang Yue behind him, he raised an eyebrow, but his surprise quickly dissipated.

A moment later, Zhou Ji said to Assistant Shen.

"Go out first and close the door."

"yes."

The office door closed again.

Zhou Ji looked calmly at Jiang Yue. He hadn't paid attention to her for a while and had almost forgotten that she even existed.

The man tapped the table absently with his fingertips. After a while, he seemed quite patient. "What is it?"

Zhou Ji had just hung up on her, and he knew why she had called.

He knew she was in trouble at work.

This is not surprising at all.

Zhou Ji had also seen the video of her arrogantly slapping a female celebrity backstage.

She didn't care about the consequences when she hit people.

Someone was filming a video, and she arrogantly walked over and snatched the person's phone.

With this kind of behavior, losing his job is only a matter of time.

Zhou Ji knew, but pretended not to.

He had no intention of intervening or helping.

Jiang Yue gazed at the man's delicate, fair face, with its well-defined features and high nose bridge; he was indeed incomparably handsome.

She stared at him, a cold laugh curling her lips.

The woman slightly raised her chin, her expression haughty, but her dark eyes held a hint of sternness.

She looked down at him condescendingly: "Hang up on me."

Zhou Ji: ?

He gave a slight smirk, his tone indifferent: "Just for this?"

Jiang Yue felt his tone was indifferent. "What's your attitude?"

This time, Zhou Ji really smiled.

He couldn't quite understand Jiang Yue's current approach.

What's going on here?

"I'm in a meeting this afternoon and can't answer the phone."

"Why did you hang up on me?"

"..."

Who do you think you are?

These questions, though calm, sounded aggressive.

Zhou Ji was unwilling to waste time on this kind of thing with her, nor did he want to expend too much emotion on her.

"Then I'm sorry?"

He said sorry, but his tone was very indifferent, and you couldn't tell how sorry he was. It was just a perfunctory excuse.

The man casually raised his eyes and continued, "Nothing else? I'll have Assistant Shen take you to buy a few bags?"

If you have time to spend money, you won't have time to cause trouble for him.

Jiang Yue thought he was a hypocrite. She sat lazily in the chair opposite him and said, "Yes."

Zhou Ji raised an eyebrow, not surprised.

Every time she sought him out, it was because she needed something from him.

It's not about needing more money, it's about dealing with work-related problems.
