"Song Leilei." Xu Jingzhi leaned against the door frame and glanced at her changed nightgown, the kind of white lace tutu nightgown that little girls like.
It looked very large on her.
He remembered that when Song Leilei was in junior high school, her father specially commissioned someone to make her a nightgown, and Song Leilei liked that style at the time.
I never imagined that after all these years, it would still fit.
He suddenly remembered that Song Leilei was a chubby girl back in junior high school, and he didn't know how she lost weight later.
“My dad wants you to come downstairs to eat something.” Xu Jingzhi put four bags of snacks on the carpet. “These snacks are in your room. My dad wants you to remember to eat them. I think he’s definitely treating you like a pig. You’re a girl, you should eat less late at night. I advise you not to go downstairs. I’ll go and refuse my dad for you.”
Not giving him a chance to go down, Song Leilei pushed him away and ran downstairs happily like a child.
She ran halfway down the stairs, even losing one of her slippers in the process, fearing that Xu Jingzhi would catch up and stop her from reaching the food.
Xu Jingzhi noticed that the nightgown was no longer suitable for her; from this angle, the loose fabric at the chest was billowing up, revealing everything.
"Song Leilei!" Xu Jingzhi hurriedly chased after her, worried that she might accidentally expose herself in front of others if she acted like this.
He chased after it quickly, and with his long legs, he caught up with it in no time.
Song Leilei felt a gust of wind and was then pushed against the wall.
Her eyes widened. "What's wrong with you?"
Xu Jingzhi braced himself against the wall with one hand to stop her from going downstairs. He opened his mouth as if to speak, but then held back.
To put it simply, it feels very strange, which means he just saw it.
No, you can't directly say that her nightgown doesn't fit properly, and you certainly can't say that the area around her chest is too loose.
So, Xu Jingzhi placed his fist in front of his lips and coughed lightly.
His gaze darted around, avoiding direct eye contact, and he said indirectly, "Go put on a coat, it's cold downstairs."
"Are you cold? The temperature difference in your house can't be that big." Song Leilei stared at him suspiciously, pointing her finger at him: "Are you sick? You feel cold, but I feel the temperature is just right. Goodbye."
As she spoke, she turned to the side, took a step, and one arm crossed in front of her chest, pulling her backward.
"What are you doing?" Song Leilei was forced back into the corner, frowning and looking at him in confusion.
Xu Jingzhi took off his own coat and put it on her personally, zipping it up. "Okay, this way you won't catch a cold."
He even found an excuse, raised an eyebrow and leaned closer to her, saying, "It's mainly because your nightgown is ugly. How old are you? Why are you still dressed like that? Don't let my dad laugh at you. You should thank your brother for helping you cover up your ugliness."
Song Leilei looked down at her eclectic outfit. "This doesn't look good at all. That nightgown is something I wore when I was little. It's not ugly at all; it's actually quite cute!"
“You looked cute in this when you were chubby, but sadly no one loved you.” Xu Jingzhi curled one corner of her mouth, her eyes carrying a hint of provocation. “But now, the outfit I put on for you is great, both warm and comfortable.” Most importantly, the chest area won’t be exposed.
Doesn't she ever look in the mirror? This nightgown could fit two petite women in it now.
Xu Jingzhi stepped aside, making way for her.
Song Leilei's fists hardened as she glared at Xu Jingzhi, completely forgetting about the delicious food.
To call a girl fat is like asking her to die.
With such a provocative attitude, Xu Jingzhi is asking for death.
She threw a punch, but it was caught by a large hand.
"You." Song Leilei gritted her teeth and threw another punch, which was intercepted again and enveloped in the large hand.
Xu Jingzhi easily grabbed her two embroidered fists. "You have a big appetite, and I didn't expect your courage to grow as well. You want to hit me, but I won't let you. You can't hit me at all."
Song Leilei wrinkled her nose and let out a low growl like a small animal, "I'll fight you to the death!"
Xu Jingzhi was ready to respond at any moment, but who knew that the next moment she shouted down: "Uncle Xu, help! Xu Jingzhi hit someone!"
Xu Jingzhi: "......"
“You always call me Dad, you know what’s wrong with you.”
Before he could finish speaking, Xu's father came up with a baseball bat. Xu Jingzhi's eyes widened, and he quickly let go of Song Leilei's hand and ran upstairs.
"Dad, please stop! I'm so old already, why are you still hitting me?" Xu Jingzhi ran away very fast, ran into the room, and was about to close the door when a baseball bat blocked the door, squeezing out a fist-sized gap.
He used his foot to block the door, preventing his father from coming in.
Song Leilei watched the play from a great distance, but still couldn't see it clearly, so she ran up after her.
She bent down to look at Xu Jingzhi through the crack in the door, covered her mouth, and smiled brightly without making a sound.
Mr. Xu: "No matter how old you are, you're still my son. When it's time to discipline you, age doesn't matter."
Xu Jingzhi hurriedly explained, "What did I do that you insist on hitting me? Don't listen to Song Leilei's side of the story, I didn't hit her at all."
Although his explanations were mostly useless.
But he still wanted to make it clear that before he died, he wanted to let those who had been wronged and suffered injustice cry out for justice.
"Leilei screamed so pitifully, and you still say you didn't hit her." Xu's father pried open the door with a baseball bat.
Xu Jingzhi held the last line of defense tightly; if the door broke through, his backside would be in serious trouble.
"Song Leilei, why are you just standing there watching the show? Explain yourself, or you'll lose your dear brother!" Xu Jingzhi was sweating profusely.
Song Leilei shrugged and smiled at him, but when Xu's father turned around to look, she revealed a mournful expression, "Uncle Xu, he just hit me on the back several times."
"You little rascal, you've got some serious skills." Mr. Xu released the baseball bat and kicked it into the doorway.
The door slammed shut from the inside the next moment.
Xu Jingzhi then slid down against the door and breathed a sigh of relief.
"Don't come out, or I'll break your legs. You can stay in there for the rest of your life." Xu's father, acting like a wicked stepmother, banged on the door a few more times before taking Song Leilei downstairs to eat.
As Song Leilei walked, she covered her mouth and laughed, thinking to herself: Little brat, you're still too green to play with me. With your uncle here, let's see how you can beat me.
Xu Jingzhi quietly opened the door a crack and threw the whole box of tissues at the back of Song Leilei's head. Song Leilei immediately turned around to look.
Xu Jingzhi opened his mouth and silently said, "You're dead."
Song Leilei understood what he was saying, shook her head and stuck out her tongue at him, sticking out her little finger in disdain.
In the middle of the night, Xu Jingzhi secretly opened the door to go out for a drink of water. Passing by Song Leilei's room, he turned on her door, pressed the light switch, and turned the light on and off repeatedly.
Song Leilei, who was in a light sleep, felt a beam of light appear and disappear intermittently, which startled her so much that she immediately opened her eyes and looked at the wall.
Xu Jingzhi was still pressing the switch, deliberately creating a terrifying atmosphere.
The flashing lights made Song Leilei's heart jump. Her gaze swept over the man standing there, and she was startled.
Her first thought was Xu Jingzhi, "Xu Jingzhi!! Is it fun?"
Having been wrongly accused that night, Xu Jingzhi now wants to get revenge.
He said, "I just saw a spider crawl into your room, so I kindly followed it in to see if turning off the lights would make it appear."
Song Leilei froze, her head spinning. "Spider? Where...where?"
Xu Jingzhi suddenly froze, and after two seconds said, "Don't move, it's climbing on you."
