Chapter 34: Making Trouble

"Uncle, I also learned it from reading books."

Chen Changyuan smiled and said, "I'll catch some wild rabbits in a few days and try it out. If it works, we won't have to worry about eating meat in the future!"

When the old man heard this, he immediately became interested:

"Okay! If this succeeds, it will be great! Then every household in our village will be able to eat meat!"

The two of them became more and more excited as they talked, and before they knew it, the three or two bottles of Shaodaozi were already finished.

"Waiter, give me three more!" shouted the old man.

The waiter came over and said with a smile:

"Comrades, would you like more wine? I think you've had enough. How about something else?"

"Another three or two taels of Shaodaozi!" The old man waved his hand. "I'm happy today, so I have to drink more!"

Chen Changyuan also said: "Some more peanuts."

The waiter responded and went to get the wine and peanuts.

At this moment, there was a commotion coming from the next table.

"What's going on?" Old Yuan turned around curiously.

I saw a few young men in shabby clothes gathered around a table, making loud noises.

"What do you mean? Do you want to dine and dash?" a waiter was arguing with them.

"Freeloader? Do we look like freeloaders?"

A young man said arrogantly, "We just think your food is not tasty and don't want to pay!"

"The food is not tasty? You said it was not tasty after you finished eating it?" the waiter said angrily.

"It just doesn't taste good! What? Are you not convinced?" The yellow-haired young man slammed the table and stood up.

Several other young men also stood up and surrounded the waiter aggressively.

Seeing this scene, Lao Yuantou frowned. It was obvious at first glance that these young people were not good people.

Chen Changyuan also noticed the movement here. His eyes flashed and a surge of blood rushed to his heart.

Since his rebirth, he has been cautious and tried his best to avoid causing trouble, but the arrogant behavior of these gangsters in front of him made him unable to sit idly by.

Lao Yuantou grabbed him and said, "Changyuan, don't be impulsive! These guys look hard to deal with."

Chen Changyuan patted the back of Lao Yuantou's hand, signaling him to rest assured, and then walked straight towards the group of young people.

"What's going on?" Chen Changyuan clenched his fists.

The yellow-haired young man glanced at him sideways: "Who are you? Why are you meddling in other people's business?"

Chen Changyuan ignored his provocation and turned to ask the waiter: "How much? I paid for them."

The waiter was stunned for a moment, then gratefully reported a number.

Chen Changyuan took out the money and handed it to the waiter, then looked at the yellow-haired young man again: "Now, you can go."

The yellow-haired young man didn't expect Chen Changyuan to be so straightforward and was stunned for a moment.

A younger brother behind him pushed him and said, "Brother Mao, this guy doesn't take us seriously!"

The yellow-haired young man came to his senses and became angry and said, "Boy, you are so arrogant! Do you know who I am?"

Chen Changyuan sneered:

"I don't care who you are. You should pay for your meal. It's only natural. Get out of here and stop embarrassing yourself."

"You fucking bastard..." The young man cursed angrily and punched Chen Changyuan.

Chen Changyuan was prepared and dodged the punch by leaning sideways. He then grabbed the yellow-haired young man's wrist with his backhand and twisted it hard.

"Ah!" The young man let out a scream. His wrist was firmly controlled by Chen Changyuan and he could not move.

Seeing this, several other young men rushed forward and wanted to teach Chen Changyuan a lesson.

Chen Changyuan sneered and dodged their attacks nimbly. At the same time, he seized the opportunity and beat these thugs with his fists and feet, making them cry for their parents.

Old Yuan was stunned watching from the side. He didn't expect Chen Changyuan's skills to be so amazing.

After a few rounds, the gangsters all lay on the ground wailing, and no longer dared to be arrogant.

Chen Changyuan clapped his hands, walked up to the young man, and looked down at him:

"Next time I see you bullying others, it won't be this simple."

After saying that, Chen Changyuan turned around and returned to Lao Yuantou.

"Changyuan, why are you paying for these little bastards?" Old Yuan asked in confusion. "They don't look like good people at first glance. That yellow hair shows that they are malnourished!"

Chen Changyuan smiled and said calmly, "Uncle, I think they're young and naive. Don't bother with them." But then he recalled a tragedy that had occurred in this state-owned restaurant in his previous life. It was around this time that a similar dispute had ultimately led to a murder lawsuit. Although he had been reborn, he didn't want to see this tragedy repeated.

Old Yuantou sighed and patted Chen Changyuan on the shoulder: "Changyuan, you are such a kind-hearted child."

The two returned to their seats and the waiter had already brought back the wine and peanuts.

"Changyuan, today's matter is all thanks to you. Come, let me toast you!" Old Yuantou raised his glass.

Chen Changyuan also raised his glass: "Uncle, you're too polite. This is what I should do."

The two clinked their glasses and drank it all in one gulp.

After three rounds of drinks, the old man started talking again: "Changyuan, how are you and that girl Xiaoya doing?"

"Uncle, Xiaoya and I...are not the same kind of people at all."

Chen Changyuan spoke in a low voice, his eyes wandering, as if he didn't want to talk more. "Besides, she's married to Zhou Dazhu now. I won't have any more contact with them in the future."

Old Yuan looked at Chen Changyuan deeply and nodded meaningfully:

"It's good that you can think it through. For the long term, let the past be the past. In the future, uncle will introduce you to some good girls. I guarantee that each of them will be better than Xiaoya!"
