Chapter 107: Heading to the Capital Together
Yue Huai watched her eat with relish, then smiled and uncorked the wine, placing it in front of her.
"Try it, this peach blossom wine that I specially brought back from the capital."
Upon hearing this, Jingwu's eyes lit up. He picked up the wine and took a sip.
Sure enough, it tasted just like the one I had tasted before.
She picked up her wine glass, eating the roast chicken while drinking.
Yue Huai didn't say much, he just sat down and drank with her.
After a while, Jingwu finished the whole bottle of wine, her face flushed, and she felt a little dizzy, so she found a place to lean against.
Yue Huai was alright; he didn't get too flushed or drunk.
He thought for a moment and then said, "When I bought this wine, the princess mentioned you, saying that you would be going to the capital in a few days?"
Jingwu nodded: "My older cousin is going to take an exam, so I'll just go along and have some fun."
Yue Huai took the wine pot, tilted his head back and took a sip: "The princess will be very happy. It's a good opportunity to have her show you around the capital."

He did not appear by chance; he had only heard that Madam Jing had appeared in Pingyao County today, gone to see Ruan Chongyue, asked for ten taels of silver, and then left in a hurry.

Jingwu stared at his face for a moment, then smiled and turned to look at the horizon: "Yes, it's sunrise."

"Oh my god!" Ruan Chongyue yawned as she walked out the door, intending to go to the dining room for a meal. When she looked up, she saw two people on the eaves and was so frightened that she almost fell to the ground.
Upon closer inspection, when she realized it was her own niece and Yue Huai, an indescribable emotion welled up inside her.
Ruan Chongyue twitched the corners of her mouth, looked up at the two people, and said, "What are you two doing on the roof?"
Jingwu was a little confused, and it took him a while to realize what was happening: "Watching the sunrise, Aunt."
"Sunrise?" Ruan Chongyue murmured softly, looking up at the horizon, only to find that the sun was already hanging in the sky.
She forced a smile, but didn't expose their lie, and asked, "Are you two going down for breakfast?"
"Come on!" Jingwu stood up first, but after sitting for a long time and with the added effect of alcohol, he staggered, which startled the two people next to him.
Yue Huai immediately reached out to support her: "Be careful."
Jingwu laughed awkwardly, then stepped down from the roof and walked to his aunt's side.
Before she could even speak, Ruan Chongyue could smell the alcohol on her breath and couldn't help but frown.
"Ah Wu, how did you get so drunk?"
"No, I'm not drunk." Jing Wu stared straight at her, earnestly trying to explain.
"You're not drunk yet, but you can't even speak properly." Ruan Chongyue immediately helped her to the main room, babbling on and on as she took off her outer clothes and helped her lie down on the bed.
"Aunt, I'm not drunk." Jingwu sat up and earnestly explained.
"Alright, alright, you're not drunk." Ruan Chongyue pushed her back onto the bed, covered her with a blanket, and turned to fetch a basin of hot water: "Lie down and get a good night's sleep."
Jingwu opened her mouth, about to say something, when she saw her aunt come over with a handkerchief and wipe her face.
"Lie down for a while, I'll go make you some hangover soup."
As Ruan Chongyue spoke, she walked out the door.
As soon as she stepped outside, she saw the boy standing in the courtyard.
After hesitating for a moment, he walked up and tentatively asked, "Why are you drinking so early in the morning?"
"Last night I passed by here and saw her standing on the eaves, lost in thought. So I took some wine and roast chicken and had a long chat with A-Wu, which has lasted until now," Yue Huai said, his eyes squinting slightly as he spoke, the alcohol making him a little tipsy.
Ruan Chongyue understood instantly. Seeing that the person in front of her seemed a little weak, she asked, "Young Master Yue, would you like to go to the backyard to take a nap?"
Yue Huai couldn't hold on any longer, so he nodded and followed her to the backyard to sleep.
After settling him in, Ruan Chongyue immediately went to the kitchen to cook a hangover soup. By the time she brought it to Jingwu's room, he was already asleep.
She tucked the blanket around her, sighed softly, and then went out.
Jingwu slept very soundly and didn't wake up until the next morning.
She woke up feeling extremely hungry and immediately went to the kitchen to find something to eat.

Jingwu paused for a moment, then shook his head: "I'll just bring a few clothes."
“Great, perfect timing. Young Master Yue is also going to the capital. Come with us.” Shao Chengrui said with a smile.
