Chapter 203: Divine Power

Chapter 203: Divine Power

Yue Huai's expression darkened. He refused to confront him and instead formed hand seals, unleashing a tremendous surge of nether energy that shot straight towards the ghost.

The thousand-year-old vengeful ghost was startled and immediately cast a barrier to protect itself.

At first, I casually used one hand to resist, but unexpectedly, the force grew stronger and stronger, forcing me to use both hands to resist.

He clicked his tongue twice, his tone somewhat sarcastic: "Oh, it's been a thousand years, and your temper has grown quite a bit. I never saw you get this angry when I destroyed the Book of Life and Death before."

Startled, her gaze fell on Jing Wu, who was half-sitting on the ground, a hint of teasing in her eyes: "You're probably not doing this because of her, are you? She is..."

Before he could finish speaking, the power of the underworld broke through his barrier, severely injuring him.

Yue Huai impatiently withdrew his hand, walked up to him, looked down at him with disdain in his eyes.

This disdain completely enraged the man on the ground. He suddenly stood up, gathering all his strength, wanting to fight the person in front of him to the death.

But the next second, a wave of pressure hit him, and his legs involuntarily bent down, his incorporeal soul kneeling on the ground.

Yue Huai coldly stared at the person in front of him, without even raising his hand; it was the oppressive aura emanating from him that was exerting pressure.

"A thousand years have passed, yet your skill has not improved. It seems that the eighteen levels of hell have weakened your technique."

He smiled, ignoring the madness of the ghost in front of him.

"If you're so capable, then obliterate me! You don't dare, you're afraid of the divine realm's wrath." Jing's lips curled into a sneer, a hint of disdain flashing in his eyes: "Even if I committed heinous crimes back then, the divine realm didn't dare do anything to me, they only destroyed my physical body! Do you dare to obliterate me?"

Yue Huai looked at his face, caught a hint of provocation, and then chuckled.

Why should I let you off so easily? Why should I let you escape the punishments of the eighteen levels of hell?

Jing's expression changed upon hearing this.

For thousands of years, he has been subjected to the daily frying in oil, the burning of volcanoes, and the crushing of stone mills.

He had had enough and longed to be wiped out. But alas, he couldn't escape either. He finally waited until Yue Huai's accident occurred, and the power of the formation weakened.

Jing then joined forces with another vengeful ghost to overturn the formation and escape. They intended to flee to the human world, but before they could even begin, Yue Huai returned.

He was filled with rage; if it weren't for him, he wouldn't have been imprisoned in this underworld!

Seeing the ghost glaring at him fiercely, Yue Huai stopped talking nonsense and waved his hand, sending the ghost back to the eighteenth level of hell.

Immediately, he quickly formed hand seals and chanted incantations, using his own blood essence as a catalyst to reinforce the formation once again.

Let him go back to the eighteenth level of hell and suffer torment every day.

After finishing these tasks, Yue Huai hurriedly went to Jing Wu's side to check on her injuries.

A large patch of her clothes on the back was corroded by the evil energy, and the exposed skin was a bloody mess.

Jingwu felt something burning intensely in her heart. She frowned and tried to suppress it with magic, but found that she couldn't suppress it no matter what she did.

She curled up silently on the ground, her forehead beaded with sweat, her face contorted in pain.

Seeing this, Qi Qiyun and Yun Zhaohui were extremely anxious, but apart from feeding her painkillers, they had no other options.

Yue Huai grabbed her wrist and examined her internal condition.

The next second, he was detected, and a surge of malevolent energy was injected into his body.

This malevolent energy rampaged through her body, relentlessly devouring her meridians, spiritual power, and cultivation, causing her immense pain.

After Yue Huai sensed this malevolent aura, he frowned deeply, trying to force it out with his Netherworld Power.

However, Jingwu's current body cannot withstand the power of the Netherworld. If he were to forcefully expel this malevolent energy, his life would be in danger.

Yue Huai was in a state of utter confusion, his fists clenched tightly, his mind racing.

Jingwu was in extreme pain from the torment. She curled up on the ground, several scenes flashing through her mind.

A woman held a booklet in one hand and a cup of tea in the other, reading and sipping as she occasionally muttered to herself.

Jingwu didn't know why this image appeared in her mind, but for some reason, the scene felt very familiar. She tried hard to see the woman's face clearly, but whether it was because of the pain or something else, she couldn't make out her face at all.

A sharp pain shot through her head, and a jumble of chaotic images flashed through her mind.

Jingwu tried to grasp something, but he grasped nothing.

Suddenly, she saw a booklet that looked very similar to the one the woman who had claimed to be an ancient tree spirit had given her.

Jingwu subconsciously took out the booklet, but before he could speak, he heard the boy beside him exclaim in surprise.

How did you get this booklet?

"ah?"

Jingwu was in so much pain that he had no strength left. He could only make sounds subconsciously as he listened to what he was saying.

The next second, she noticed that he had taken the booklet from her hand.

As I frowned and looked over, I saw Yue Huai silently reciting something in front of the booklet.

"What are you doing?" Jingwu asked, enduring the pain, looking at him with confusion.

No sooner had he finished speaking than he saw a blue light rise from the booklet and head towards him.

Jingwu only sensed a powerful force entering his body, flowing from his meridians to his heart without stopping.

This force within his body clashed with the malevolent energy, causing pain a hundred times greater than before.

Jingwu rolled on the ground in pain, his hands clenched into fists, veins bulging on his forehead, and he even made whimpering sounds.

"What did you do? What did you put inside A-Wu's body?" Qi Qiyun saw his disciple in so much pain, walked up to him and roared.

Yue Huai held the booklet in his hand, his brows furrowed tightly: "This is her own thing, it's just being returned to its rightful owner."

His gaze was fixed on the girl on the ground, and his heart was pounding.

Thousands of years ago, I foresaw that she would face a calamity, and if she could not overcome it, she would be reduced to ashes and never be seen again.

So he tricked her into storing a power in this booklet, and then placed the booklet in the ancient tree for future use.

However, since everything had been peaceful and uneventful for thousands of years, she hadn't thought of it until she took out the booklet.

Yue Huai stared intently at the person in front of him, hoping that the divine power could devour the evil aura.

Qi Qiyun was confused by what he heard and wanted to ask for more clarification, but the person in front of him did not seem to want to speak again.
