On the dark mountain path, someone was climbing the steps.
The night was already very deep, and even the small animals in the mountains had become much quieter, with only the occasional sound of the mountain wind rustling through the treetops remaining.
Master Tingyun felt uneasy. He never expected that he, as an external support officer, would not play any role and would have to accompany the two young people up the mountain overnight.
As he walked, he raised his vigilance to its highest level.
"Crack." In a state of high tension, he stepped on a tree.
The person at the front stopped. "What's wrong?"
"It's alright, it's alright."
Gu Xu turned to look at Daoist Tingyun.
Under the cover of night, his face remained calm and undisturbed.
In contrast, Master Tingyun and Xu Shanglou, who were standing next to him, had suffered a lot of torment and faced many dangers along the way.
First, they got lost, walking towards the edge of the cliff even though the path was right in front of them; then they heard strange howls, and Xu Shanglou was the most affected, almost strangling himself.
If it weren't for having to take care of the two of them, Gu Xu would probably have already reached the Imperial Palace Hot Spring Resort on the mountaintop by himself.
Master Tingyun had lived most of his life and considered himself the head of a sect. He had seen many people with pure yang constitutions who claimed to be immune to all evil, but he had never seen anyone like Gu Xu.
According to Zhuang Xun and his group of young people, Mr. Gu was simply a huge bug, and no magical attack was effective against him.
He will not fall into illusions, nor will he be corrupted by any evil or malevolent energy; he cannot see ghosts or evil spirits.
This kind of physique is certainly not suitable for cultivation; but on the other hand, it is so powerful that even ghosts are afraid of it.
I really don't know whether to be envious or regretful.
"We've arrived." Under the cover of night, the view of the front yard was unobstructed.
There was no one in sight, nor could one find a way into the backyard.
Gu Xu stood in front of a wall, a popular spot for taking photos. Rose vines covered the wall, and it was the peak blooming season, with the roses blooming profusely all over the wall.
For some reason, he always felt that there should have been a door here.
Just then, a series of noisy footsteps came from somewhere.
The sounds seemed to appear suddenly, and they seemed to be very close.
Master Tingyun and Xu Shanglou became alert at the same time. They had encountered many evil spirits along the way and were worried that this was another sneak attack.
Gu Xu suddenly spoke up: "Wait, it's Zhuozhuo—"
He could hear the sounds carried by the wind, and even discern a familiar rhythm from the chaotic footsteps.
Gu Xu looked up at the wall and took a few steps back.
With a loud "bang!", Mingzhuo kicked open the door, but he didn't expect it to collapse due to the force he used.
As plaster crumbled from the wall, Li Wenhe covered his nose expressionlessly, already accustomed to Ming Zhuo's violent style.
He glanced at the open wall, and suddenly his pupils contracted slightly.
"Mr. Gu, what are you doing here?" Ming Zhuo's eyes lit up when he saw the person standing in the moonlight!
The moon was high in the sky, shining brightly on the person in front of me. The moon was as bright as frost, and the person looked like a painting.
The moonlight softened the man's cold and handsome features. He stood quietly under the wall covered with roses, like a fairy under the moon.
Just as Ming Zhuo was about to step over the door, Li Wenhe suddenly squeezed through and stepped over first.
The people behind him were all wide-eyed in shock, never expecting that this refined and aloof young man would be so bold!
These people were terrified by the evil spirit. In their eyes, Mingzhuo had dealt with the evil spirit in just a few moves, making him even more terrifying than the evil spirit!
They subconsciously behaved themselves obediently in front of Mingzhuo, not daring to utter a sound.
After all, they had experienced the feeling of evil spirits being beaten to the point of death by Mingzhuo.
A group of people, fearing that Mingzhuo would be angry, rushed to clean the doorway, wishing they could lay out a red carpet to invite Mingzhuo over.
Xu Shanglou couldn't contain himself any longer, "Zhuozhuo, are you alright?"
Mingzhuo: "I'm fine."
She scrutinized Xu Shanglou for a moment and noticed that he looked somewhat disheveled. After all, he had been affected by a curse that altered his luck, but the curse had been lifted.
"Brother-in-law, you're alright now. When you get back, take the exorcism talisman and walk around the house, then burn the talisman's ashes and drink the water."
Master Qinglian originally wanted to say that he could perform an exorcism ritual for Xu Shanglou, but upon hearing this, he remained silent.
Mainly, he felt that his own methods might not be as effective as Mingzhuo's.
Although Mingzhuo's method sounds too simple and unsophisticated.
Xu Shanglou looked at Master Qinglian standing behind him and said, "Master, thank you."
He was about to bow again when Master Qinglian, startled, grabbed his arm. "Young Master, please don't do that..."
Elder Qinglian was somewhat embarrassed. The young master had clearly misunderstood. How could he explain that he was the one who had been taken care of?
The divination he performed before coming here, which indicated that there was good fortune amidst misfortune, referred to him and Chu Yuqi as the ones who were ...
With Mingzhuo involved, it might not even be considered a serious incident. With Mingzhuo's intervention, Xu Shanglou is absolutely safe.
Master Qinglian sighed. He didn't have the thick skin to try and embellish his own reputation.
"Actually, it was Ruan Mingzhuo who saved all of our lives tonight, and she also killed the evil spirit."
——
Chu Yuqi woke up groggily and heard those words.
She calmed herself for a few seconds, but decided to continue pretending to be asleep and first sort out her thoughts and situation.
When she was possessed, she wasn't completely unconscious; rather, the person was too powerful and easily took control of her body.
She still vividly remembers the fear and deep trembling she felt deep in her soul when she was being suppressed by the other party.
