There was a wall in front of him and to his side, and his path was blocked by a ghost behind him.
He Wangyao steadied herself, pretending not to notice anything amiss, and asked casually, "What are you talking about?"
The ghost moved closer, brushed aside the hair, and asked, "Could you remove that thing from my face?"
He Wangyao's palms were sweaty. He calmly took out a talisman, thinking to himself that he had watched too many ghost movies and had very little practical experience.
You dare to scare me with your ghost face? I'll stick a talisman on you until you're dead!
He tried to look at the other person calmly while sticking the talisman on their forehead.
After doing all that, he barely stopped and turned to run.
The female ghost seemed stunned, took two steps back, and stood there blankly. Two seconds later, she suddenly let out a heart-wrenching scream.
The thing she was holding fell to the ground with a thud, rolled twice, and then she squatted down and frantically scratched her face.
He Wangyao swept up something that had fallen to the ground. It was a bowl, a white bowl with vertical stripes and a black line along the rim.
He slowly stopped, feeling extremely puzzled.
I've been on many missions with Mingzhuo and seen many ghosts, but I've never seen a ghost with this kind of art style.
Holding a bowl, what are you planning to do? Are you doing role-playing?
Li Wenhe was the first to arrive at the scene. "What happened?"
"I don't know." He Wangyao shook his head. This scene made it seem like he was bullying a ghost, but in reality, he was almost scared to death.
Hearing the sound, the female ghost stopped screaming, raised her head, and revealed a bloody, mangled face.
He Wangyao was caught off guard and saw it all; her heart nearly stopped beating from fright.
He knew it! These ghosts love to use those close-up attacks! He admitted he was completely terrified!
Li Wenhe's eyes narrowed. With its face so mangled, this ghost must be filled with resentment.
Just as he was about to draw his sword and stab, someone grabbed his shoulder.
"Ah Xu!" He Wangyao turned around and saw Gu Xu, and hurriedly said, "There's a ghost here!"
“I saw it,” Gu Xu said.
The female ghost looked up blankly at the half-open door, and suddenly rushed in, screaming "Ahhh!" a few times.
The three hurriedly chased after her and saw the female ghost holding a mirror and looking at herself.
The room was dark, with only the dim light from the city's streetlights shining in.
The scene before her eyes was extremely bizarre. The female ghost looked in the mirror, and her bloody and mangled face slowly returned to normal. She touched that face and smiled happily.
As he laughed, two lines of bloody tears suddenly rolled down his cheeks.
He Wangyao couldn't see clearly through the mirror. He took a few steps forward and suddenly froze: "You're Liu Manling?!"
The female ghost in front of me is none other than Liu Manling!
"So you were here." Li Wenhe also realized that the ghost the puppet had caught earlier was obviously not normal; it was indeed not the real ghost, but just a trap.
No wonder the puppet was so restless before; those people went to great lengths to capture Mingzhuo.
Li Wenhe looked at the female ghost warily: "What do you want to do?"
A terrifying night of resurrection – is there really a wrongful accusation?
However, the puppet's death was inextricably linked to the other party's death. It's just unknown whether the other party took their anger out on them and wanted to kill them.
"Someone help me! I've caught a ghost! Hurry!" Pei Di's voice suddenly rang out.
He Wangyao hurriedly ran out and saw Pei Di standing in front of a mirror in the other corridor, pulling at something.
He ran over and saw that he had indeed grabbed something – a person's arm.
But that shouldn't be a person; he'd never seen anyone walk into a mirror before.
"I felt something was strange when I passed by this mirror. There was actually a ghost hiding inside! When the ghost realized I had spotted it, it tried to run away. I hurriedly tried to grab it, but my hand actually went through the mirror!" Pei Di said excitedly.
The ghost was clearly no match for Pei Di. The two were pulling at each other like in a tug-of-war, and in the end, Pei Di gradually pulled it out of the mirror.
Upon hearing this, He Wangyao quickly stepped forward to help pull, and the two of them worked together to pull the ghost out!
The ghost let out a wail and covered its face.
Pei Di carried the ghost to meet up with Gu Xu and Li Wenhe.
Inside the room, Li Wenhe gripped his sword, ready to strike at any moment.
Upon seeing the ghost Pei Di had captured, Gu Xu suddenly asked, "What's that?"
Only after being reminded did He Wangyao realize that the ghost was holding something in its hand. Worried that it might use underhanded tricks, she immediately became vigilant.
But then he realized something was wrong. Why did the thing in the ghost's hand look so much like a yellow talisman?
Moreover, this stacking method seems somewhat familiar...
Gu Xu walked straight over and ripped off the yellow talisman.
The ghost seemed startled and let out a scream, as if it were about to attack Gu Xu.
The other three felt a chill run down their spines and were about to make their move...
“Wait a minute, he’s a human, not a ghost,” Gu Xu said. He picked up the talisman and examined it. “It’s clean, but it doesn’t seem to be a protective talisman.”
Looking at the trembling ghost and the ghost admiring its own face in the mirror, Gu Xu had an answer in her heart.
He took out a bronze mirror, bit his fingertip, dripped blood onto it, and then looked at the male ghost.
The male ghost stopped trembling, touched his face, and raised his head.
Only then did everyone realize that this was an acquaintance.
"Cheng Jiangkai!!"
Cheng Jiangkai was overjoyed and murmured, "I'm out? That's great, I'm finally out!"
Turning her head, she saw Liu Manling looking in the mirror and screamed again, "A ghost!!"
