After seeing off the production crew, Mingzhuo got up and went to Luowu Residence.
It is the season when osmanthus blossoms are in full bloom, and the air is filled with their rich fragrance.
Mingzhuo stopped under an osmanthus tree and couldn't resist taking a few photos with his phone.
Someone walked up behind her, broke off the osmanthus branch she was taking a picture of, and handed it to her.
“Ah…” Mingzhuo called out subconsciously, then realized something was wrong and turned to look at the person who came in, “Wenwen.”
Seeing that she didn't take it, Li Wenhe stuffed the flowers into her hand. "Don't you like them? Take them. I don't think Mr. Gu would be so stingy."
He paused, then asked casually, "Who did you think it was just now?"
Mingzhuo: "I didn't think it was anyone. The sachet you're wearing smells of Chinese herbs. I could smell it as soon as I smelled it."
She was only in a daze when she felt that the scene just now was somewhat familiar, as if Gu Xu had also picked the most beautiful flower from the branch and placed it in her hand.
Li Wenhe's lips curled up slightly. He looked at Ming Zhuo and asked gently, "Are you alright?"
Although he was fine and his unconscious state didn't last long, he couldn't help feeling tense and worried.
I have a feeling that Mingzhuo is overdrawing something.
"What could possibly happen to me?" Mingzhuo felt that Li Wenhe was being overly cautious.
Then, looking worried, she asked, "But what about Ah Xu? How is he today? Has his chest tightness eased at all?"
After two seconds of no response, Mingzhuo glanced at him and said, "Forget it, there's no point in asking you. I'll go and see for myself."
Li Wenhe stood there, watching her walk away, and subconsciously broke off a sprig of osmanthus.
——
Gu Xu was sitting at his desk in the study signing documents.
As the weather cooled down, the assistant opened the window a crack, and a gentle breeze brought in the fragrance of osmanthus blossoms that filled the room.
He had just finished signing a stack of documents and handed them to his assistant when he saw Mingzhuo walking into the courtyard. He quickly stopped writing, got up, and went to greet him.
Just as he stepped out of the study and into the living room, Mingzhuo walked in, and the two almost bumped into each other.
"Ah Xu, are you alright?" Ming Zhuo grabbed his hand and checked on him.
Gu Xu let her hold his hand, and after a moment he whispered, "I'm much better now."
“But your voice sounds a bit off. Could you be injured somewhere?” Mingzhuo was still not convinced and checked again.
Gu Xu coughed and said in a low voice, "It's probably because it's flu season and I've caught a bit of a cold."
Mingzhuo subconsciously leaned closer, tiptoed to touch his forehead, and asked, "Do you have a fever?"
Gu Xu's breath hitched for two seconds. He suddenly stepped back, avoiding Ming Zhuo's movements as if he were fleeing.
His hands clenched into fists, his heart pounding. He was about to say something when he suddenly looked up at the person who had walked in.
Li Wenhe looked at them through the door frame: "Zhuozhuo, I need to talk to you."
Mingzhuo glanced at Gu Xu, who said, "You guys go ahead."
Mingzhuo nodded and turned to leave with Li Wenhe.
Gu Xu stood in the living room watching the two figures leave. A gust of wind blew, and the osmanthus blossoms on the branches fell to the ground.
The assistant came out of the study and said in surprise, "Mr. Gu, why are you standing here? Your cold is just getting better, be careful not to catch a chill again."
Gu Xu turned around and went back to his study, continuing to work at his desk.
He kept reassuring himself not to rush things.
Li Wenhe knew perfectly well what he was going to do. Young and passionate, he always thought that as long as he expressed his feelings, he would get a response.
But some things can't be accomplished with just effort and enthusiasm.
A moment later, he suddenly stood up.
The assistant looked at him in surprise, "Mr. Gu..."
Gu Xu said hurriedly, "That's enough for today. Arrange a driver, I need to go out."
——
Mingzhuo and Li Wenhe entered a coffee shop, where the person they were meeting was already waiting.
"Master!" The girl sitting in the seat stood up abruptly.
Mingzhuo walked over and asked casually, "Are you possessed?"
She glanced at the girl, then her gaze fell on the young man who was holding hands with her.
The two were about twenty-four or twenty-five years old. The one who had the accident was the man, whose eyes were dark and who was surrounded by a sinister aura.
The girl looked anxious and opened her mouth to say something, but Mingzhuo raised his hand and said, "Wait a minute, let's make this clear first, you have to pay me to solve your problems."
The girl paused for a moment, then subconsciously looked at Li Wenhe: "Didn't you say it was free?"
This was clearly something Li Wenhe had promised before. Mingzhuo said calmly, "You can ask him for free, but you must pay me if you ask me."
"How much?" the girl asked immediately without the slightest hesitation.
The man became much more wary: "Is there anything different?"
It wasn't that he didn't trust Mingzhuo; it was just that Mingzhuo looked too beautiful and didn't seem like a cultivator.
On the contrary, Li Wenhe seemed much more composed and reliable, and should have some real skills.
Mingzhuo: "Nothing's different, everything can be resolved. But my name is Ruan Mingzhuo, and I'm his master. I also have an alias called 'Only Three Divinations.' Okay, 100,000 yuan, who's going to pay?"
Liu Shuang thought for a moment, "I trust Nana. Since she recommended her, she can't be wrong."
Nana was her classmate, and the two kept in touch after graduation. After hearing about her and her boyfriend, Nana actively recommended Li Wenhe to her.
She just didn't expect that Li Wenhe would bring another woman along, and that she would charge such a high price.
However, it wasn't that she couldn't afford the money; what could be more important than her boyfriend's life?
