"Buzz buzz buzz~"
"Buzz buzz buzz~"
A gigantic beehive, almost the size of a castle, hangs on a tree that is disproportionately large. The tree is not small; it is of normal size, but still not the size that a giant bee hive should lean against.
Big Tree: What have I done to deserve this?
Tiger-striped giant bee
This is a repulsive magical beast, about the size of a calf, with a fierce and rapid burst of venom, and living in dense swarms. These characteristics are among the reasons why they are considered dangerous magical beasts.
There is no reason for building a huge nest and attacking passing wild beasts and intelligent creatures.
"Waaaaah"
"So hungry"
"Who will save us?"
"us"
The little fairies, watched by the giant bees, worked quickly in the enormous hive while complaining... Their incessant pleas for mercy were of course incomprehensible to the giant bees.
Or rather, although monsters are much smarter than ordinary wild beasts, they are still wild beasts after all. Being able to resist eating the little fairies and let them help with chores is already considered smart.
"Waaah"
So tired
"bee"
"bad"
Inside the hive, besides the buzzing of countless worker bees working tirelessly, there were also the complaints of countless little fairies... Although little fairies are creatures who are born to love working, that doesn't mean they like being forced into being slaves to labor.
Moreover, the tiger-striped giant bee is an omnivorous bee with a rather difficult-to-understand social structure. It not only collects tree sap and pollen to make honey, but also captures other weaker magical beasts as food.
Moreover, to them, there is no difference between intelligent beings, monsters, and magical beasts.
"Waaaaah"
"elder sister"
No!
"It was eaten."
Each word was uttered as the little fairies cried out. Under their watchful eyes, a slightly larger fairy remained silent, tears streaming down her face, as she was dragged away by the giant bees.
What awaited her was being eaten as food; her limbs would be torn apart, her body separated, and her internal organs and flesh would be sorted and stored away to help her survive the winter.
However, the little goblins that were eaten will never see this winter; this is the law of the jungle.
But Ira hates this survival of the fittest the most. He understands that this is the rule of nature, but he does not agree with the rule of non-interference... He wants to intervene and choose a stronger path.
Anyone is fine.
"Save us!"
Please!
Please!
"Waaaaah"
"..."
Despite their pleas and cries, none of the little fairies held onto hope. Their homes had been taken over, and they had been captured by inexplicable monsters. They... had lost all hope.
Some of the little fairies who had escaped earlier were captured, while others were killed. And after that... nothing happened for a whole day, and everything seemed to be as usual.
In the future, they see nothing but visible enslavement.
Anyone will do, anyone is fine, please save the fairy race, please save everyone.
...
The so-called "long-cherished wish" will be fulfilled at some point.
"Boom boom boom~ Boom boom boom~ Boom boom boom~"
Something seemed to be rushing closer, like a colossal beast or an army approaching, and the entire hive could feel a noticeable tremor.
The bees were clearly starting to become restless.
What happened?
While all the little fairies were unaware of what was happening, countless giant bees, as if having received some kind of news, swarmed out of the hive's tunnels, seemingly having no energy left to care about the little fairies.
"???"
Although the puzzled little fairies didn't know what had happened, they keenly sensed that this seemed to be a good opportunity to escape... even if the outcome might be being caught and eaten.
Because if they don't escape, they'll have no chance at all.
"No matter who it is"
In short
"Thanks"
"may be"
"SOS has arrived"
"Is it the Demon King?"
"possible"
The chattering little fairies tried their best to avoid the giant bees' gaze and run away, but it was no longer necessary, because... what the giant bees were now facing was a true catastrophe.
"Headless Knights, Squad One! Begin your flanking maneuver, encircle the enemy across a wide area, wipe out any stray or scattered units, and occupy the cleared territory! Squad Two! Prepare Soul Flames!"
An unfamiliar male voice reached the ears of the goblins. The moment they stepped out of the hive, the goblins felt an intense heat, and what came into view was a forest covered in exploding flames.
A vast array of headless knights and insectoids are battling the giant bees.
The most conspicuous figure was an unfamiliar male, possibly a newly promoted cadre in the Demon King's territory, with large, scarlet wings that spread wildly and unruly behind him, resembling those of a demon. He was also the one who had just raised his arms to give orders.
"Squad One of the Insectoids, charge! Advance towards the main lair! Squads Two and Three, prepare to flank! Squad Four, prepare to fire your stingers!"
As the man spoke, he looked in the direction of the [Insectoid Squad], directing the Demon King's army to advance in an orderly manner, while continuing to command, "Prepare the Soulfire Needles!"
He prepared the insectoids, whose bodies had sprouted sharp exoskeletons and spikes, and the headless knights, who had accumulated blue soul fire, all under his command. Coincidentally, some of the giant bees were also preparing to swoop down from the sky.
