Chapter Sixty-Five: Shi Ni Mo Tian

How interesting... Ira really is Chaos, or rather, Ira actually knows the true nature of Chaos, and even stands on the same side as Chaos; although Ira may not want to destroy the world.

Those who associate with dragons, those who seek to harm tigers.

Perhaps that's who Ira is. Ernie wasn't sure if Ira had that kind of confidence, but it was undeniable that Ira seemed to have indeed gained some benefits from Chaos.

The special profession called "Governor," which is different from all other professions in the world, seems to prove this point... and it is almost certain that the so-called "Chaos" is indeed related to the World Tree.

But Ernie didn't really care... probably.

"I slept for a very long time... and then I woke up. Everything I used to know had turned to dust. No one recognized me. In the place where my old home used to be, a new fire elemental had moved in."

As Ernie said this, she looked at Ira, who had become serious, and sighed softly, saying, "I drove them away... but now that I think about it, maybe I shouldn't have done it."

Home to home, past to past... the changing times, the power of time.

These things really confused Ernie. If that's the case... then she really has nowhere to go? Everywhere is like a hotel on a trip; there's no place she can "peacefully return to."

They did nothing wrong, yet they became homeless.

"What do you know?"

As Yinla spoke, he looked at Ernie warily, but he couldn't see anything... because the confusion on Ernie's face at that moment was genuine.

It seems that Ernie was genuinely puzzled by the question, rather than asking him for some ulterior motive after learning about Illa's obsession and twisted persistence.

Therefore, the longing for "home" that both of them had in their hearts was just a coincidence... or rather, it just so happened that both of them had such thoughts, nothing more.

"Okay, it seems I misunderstood..."

As Yinla spoke, he looked at Ernie's beautiful, fiery-red hair, which flowed like flames, and then gently looked out the window... It was starting to snow lightly in the Demon King's territory.

Where should I begin?

As Yinla spoke, his thoughts wandering far away, he simply asked, "Have all your family members passed away? Because of that eternal life and long slumber in [the Otherworld]?"

Ernie rested her chin on her hand, her eyes vacant, as if she had returned to a day in the past, and said, "Well, but more than 'family,' it's closer to 'kinsmen'... All the people I knew have disappeared."

"The fire elementals of today are no longer the same as the ones I once knew. My race has been destroyed, and a new lord has been born among the new fire elementals. There is a new group of people, new buildings, and no one recognizes me anymore. For me, that place is no longer home."

As Ernie spoke, Illa glanced at her... If that's all there is to it, then what is Illa? He watched his entire race be wiped out, and then witnessed the collapse and destruction of the entire universe.

Then, because of their usual acceptance and sympathy for AI, they were deliberately let off the hook... What does that mean?

What Yinla encountered next was a completely new world and a completely different system. Everything needed to be adapted to anew, and the people around him couldn't even understand his way of thinking... Yinla should have been the one who felt the most lonely.

So, Ernie's condition is merely...

"To put it bluntly, you're just bored... Find something to do and you won't get stuck on this."

Yinla said that at first, then realized something and changed his words: "Perhaps you don't understand the idiom 'to get stuck on something,' so let's put it another way—'to get absorbed in meaningless thinking.'"

These were rather harsh words, but Ernie didn't get angry.

"Yes, I've said before that things outside of the established norms are very boring."

Ernie said, mimicking Inra, quietly gazing at the snow outside the window, "So, I plan to use my free time to think about where my [home] is... I'll go to various places in the Prime Material Plane to find the answer I'm looking for."

That's a truly speechless answer.

"Everyone misses the past and their home, whether it's you or me, that's perfectly normal. The key is... what you should do. Do you have a dream?"

Yinla didn't want to talk about herself; he simply asked, asking this thoughtful outsider what her dream was.

"dream……"

As she pondered this, Ernie looked around at her life with some confusion. She racked her brains but couldn't find such a thing. She shook her head hesitantly, indicating that she had no dreams.

So, do you have a dream? What is your dream?

Ernie asked this question.

"..."

To this question, Yinla barely needed to think; she could immediately rattle off a string of different words that combined to form a future called the past—[Eternal Kingdom], [Absolute Federation], [Happy Future].

But, after all, Inra is Inra.

In that instant, Yinla realized she was standing at an interesting turning point...
