Chapter Five: Leaving Prison (shuhaige.net)

The Demiplane Prison is a special prison within the Demon King's Castle. Due to its unique existence within a rift in the main plane, it is difficult for those without demiplane access to freely enter and exit.

The Demon King's lineage is precisely the group with the most authority.

Although after extracting the Satan Leaf from Mana, Ira was able to break through the demiplane using the power of the Crimson Dragon and the Rune Bonds... no one could hold back an Archon with ample wing reserves.

But now that Satan has opened the prison gates, he naturally doesn't need to bother trying to break through...

"..."

Ira strolled leisurely towards the end of the corridor as if she were in her own backyard. At the end of the glowing prison corridor was the [Gate] of the demiplane prison, but if the gate was not opened, it was just a passage leading to the next corridor.

Are you following along too?

As Ira asked this, she glanced at Satan Ye, who was following behind her, and their crimson dragon eyes met. Then, as she left, she said, "Are you going to supervise me as I leave the Demon King's castle?"

"No, I just don't see the point in staying in prison."

Satan looked at Ira with some strangeness as she said this, because she had come to the prison to see Ira, and now that Ira had been released, what reason did she have to stay in the prison?

"Ah, that's true..."

The little demon king named Satan Ye didn't say much to Ira's answer, but simply followed him to leave the demiplane prison. Then, as if suddenly remembering something, he asked, "What were the causes and consequences of your conviction by the Empire?"

Such a question is meaningless... at least not for Satan.

No matter what answer Ira gives, it will only be ordinary gossip to her, not valuable information. In other words, such questions are just to satisfy her curiosity.

Before becoming a demon king, Satan was just an ordinary little girl.

Ira was relieved to finally meet a normal loli. Compared to another loli queen he was familiar with, Satan Ye seemed too much like a normal person... unlike someone who was a queen's child before she was an ordinary loli.

"That story begins a long time ago..."

As Ira continued, he recounted the events leading up to it: "It was my first day of vacation, and I shared an idea with Isabella. I told her..."

As Ira reminisced, Satanieh raised her question, asking, "Wait, you said vacation? But you're not... I've heard stories about you, usually describing you as 'tireless.' Do you need a vacation too?"

That's such a strange description...

Thinking this helplessly, Ira stopped recounting the cause and effect, and became curious about something else, asking, "What kind of person am I, according to the monster?"

But as soon as he said it, he didn't want to know the answer anymore.

"Never mind, I don't want to know..."

"I told Isabella that, in order to prepare food for the two-front war against the Duchy and the Demons, nobles need to donate grain. If they donate more, they may be promoted to a higher rank. Even if they don't want to donate grain, they can use land instead."

Listening to Ira's account, Satanye's eyes widened. She said, "So, the Empire is about to go to war with the Duchy of Hazard? So you're saying the Empire will stop its war with us?"

Ira nodded slightly in response: "Yes."

"Okay, so what happened next? And why did Empress Isabella want to capture you?"

Regardless of whether Satan had such a question, Ira himself didn't quite understand either. He said, "Isabella told me to go on vacation first, so I didn't pay much attention to it and decided to discuss this issue after my vacation ended."

"Subsequently, during my vacation, I noticed a shift in the political climate in the imperial capital... You should have also obtained relevant intelligence about what happened next."

"..."

Ira knew perfectly well that the nobles were behind it all, but if Isabella was determined, then she didn't need to care about any of their opinions.

In other words, Isabella actually wanted to use this accident to set Ira free... She knew very well that the Empire needed Ira, but Ira did not need to be attached to the Empire.

It is indeed good, but...

"Let the nobles buy titles, and they can use land as collateral for grain..."

Even Satanie, who didn't have much of a sense of nobility, sensed something. She realized Ira's reason for making that suggestion and said, "You're helping her, aren't you?"

That's correct.

Listening to Ira's description, Satanieh didn't understand why Isabella would refuse the land that belonged to her, but Ira himself knew... Isabella hadn't refused; she was probably just annoyed by his rambling.

In other words, it was just a pat on the butt to express dissatisfaction, but the nobleman did something else entirely: he shoved a knife into Isabella's hand, which she couldn't protect... But there's no need to explain that to the demon king in front of him.

"The empire will become what I dream of... equality, calm, eternity, and dictatorship."

With that, Ira stepped into the light at the end of the passage. He turned to look at the little demon king and said, "If we have the chance, we will meet again... I believe that time is not too far away."
