Within the imperial capital, at the Elkaras residence.
This place was personally bestowed upon the family of Chief Consul Ira Elkaras by the Empress. It should have been the residence of the Empire's meritorious officials, but now it is surrounded by Imperial soldiers.
The atmosphere was solemn, as if a storm was brewing, just like the bramble flowers planted on both sides of the street swaying in the wind.
"Mr. Kampbuyk, please inform the Chief Executive that my vacation has ended early."
The seemingly high-ranking imperial general addressed the middle-aged man blocking the way at the [Elkaras] residence.
"..."
But the man called Kambuik simply stood in front of the mansion, speaking neither humbly nor arrogantly:
"Lord Ira is not in the manor. He left the manor three days ago."
The general, however, made his request with the same courteous attitude:
"Please make way, Mr. Campbouik Elkaras; the battle at the front is critical, and we need the support of the Chief Consul, as Her Majesty the Queen has ordered."
Kampbuik naturally didn't believe the words of the general leading the soldiers.
The fighting at the front? The front lines are almost at a truce!
"Lord Ira is not in the manor," he simply said.
The general had no good solution for the gatekeeper who wouldn't listen to advice.
Although he was acting on orders, they were not authorized to enter the governor's house until the official transfer order arrived.
The atmosphere became oppressive...
Even the children in the capital can sense that the winds have recently shifted.
Therefore, the goalkeeper's attitude undoubtedly falls into the category of feigning ignorance.
As the general frowned, the soldiers behind him dispersed, and a man with rings of patterns around his neck stepped through the crowd and handed the general a piece of parchment: "Lord Nathan, this is a search warrant."
"Thank you, Your Excellency."
Responding to the man, who appeared to be in his early twenties and whose neck was covered in black, spell-like patterns, the general glanced at the ink on the parchment…
There seems to be something wrong with the pattern.
"Your Excellency, this search warrant truly belongs to Her Majesty the Queen herself..."
"..."
But all he received in response was a silent gaze.
"I see."
As the general spoke, he took a deep breath and announced loudly, "This is a search warrant! Her Majesty the Queen herself has issued the decree to thoroughly investigate the Elkaras household! Arrest the criminal Ira Elkaras!"
The general expected the gatekeeper to firmly block him, but to his surprise, the gatekeeper actually stepped aside. He reluctantly added, "Yes, sir..."
At this point, the old gatekeeper named Kambuik was already in tears, but he still firmly said, "But Lord Ira has absolutely not done anything wrong."
But actually, even a three-year-old in the empire knows this.
"..."
After a moment of silence, the general waved his hand, directing the soldiers behind him, and said, "Search! Thoroughly investigate the Elkaras family. By order of the Queen, protect the Elkaras family members."
"yes!!!"
"yes!!!"
"yes!!!"
Amidst the unanimous response, the Empire also launched its largest purge to date, with former Chief Regent Ira Elkaras being placed on the Empire's most wanted list.
A legend who fought for the empire for half his life, his first [Governor] position, almost single-handedly turning the tide of the [Empire vs. Monster Battlefield] from a disadvantageous position to a stalemate, and then subtly beginning to gain the upper hand—
Ira Elkaras.
...
He was declared a defector by the empire!
